I have purchessed Tata Indica eV2 LX , BS IV Diesel Engine on 2nd July 2011. The car with Neo Orange colour- The colour getting wow from all.
Exterior This new version looks very good . The new stylish exterior graphics attract everyone.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good space for 5 persons. Excellent new Idea - you need not put your feet on accelarator & brakesimulteniously. On slops. just concentrate on cluth & brake. Acclerator padel not needed . Good A/C, CD player with Blue tooth as well as USB port- v.good, Central locking & Child safty locks on back doors, Boot space is enough for a family picnic. It can be extended with 60:40folding back seats, if required.
Ride Quality & Handling Easy handling, definately, compaired to any other Diesel car in this class. Good Power steering & manoveribility. Inside cabin - it feels just as good & comfortable as any other Petrol CAR.
Final Words Best buy for this segment in Diesel with 25KMPL, Still to be measured. Nothing like it if it proves as per their ads.
Areas of improvement Should have put Power windows at the back seats also. Atleast for the fully loaded LX version.
Now after using the Car for more than 3 months & nearing 2000Kms. I strongly agree with my review. It has been a very good experiance also. Got very good on road support also from TATA. & They had not taken a single Rupee from me at midnight 3.00am on a national highway.& there was not any problem in the car, I just wanted to clarify some signal! Till date I find this a best buy for me.

Exterior Newly purchased tata indica ev2 ls has been to service centre 5 times even before completing 1000km. excessve heating,problem with radiator,gear and clutch,poor service and no concern for the customer company not bothered about customer complaint . better to avoid tata brand and tata cars.they have turned cheaters.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Poor services. no response to complaints. casual approach to problems.on complaints of excessive heating could not correct even after the car was send to service 5 times in a row almost every alternate day. radiator pipe was choked,now they are telling engine chip was not properly decoded, blah blah. They have changed clutch plate even then the problem remains.

Exterior Nothing new other than some stick on decals. The paint job is good, but scratches easily even when dry dusting.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The quality of materials used is substandard, components malfunctioned and broke after 1 week of usage. The music system malfunctioned and at 1st service was offered to be replaced after a 1 month wait, as it has to be sent to Pune to be rectified. The central locking cannot be engaged with the provided remote from day 2.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The second gear would not engage at times, Fuel Economy was around 22kmpl on Highway, not the 25kmpl as advertised. The engine overheated after 6 hours of driving and had to be pulled over to the side of the road for an hour.
Ride Quality & Handling Not worth the price. You would get better quality from Maruti or Hyundai for a better price.
Final Words I had been forewarned about the build quality of Tata vehicles, but the advertised fuel economy was the deciding factor. After sales service is dismal, were not able to address any of the issues on a brand new car. Tata Motors have suckered this customer once. But never again. And I hope this warns off any potential customers.

Exterior Excellent painiting for the new vehicles that is ecs, and ev2. Rest of the indicas are only average with around 50-60000 tyre life and 3-4 years without any rust or major body work (other than test work).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Well improved for the new cars and for the old ones, considering as a taxi vehicle the interiors are adequate, but when it comes to private segment the car lack its quality, poor plastics, switches, electricals, body rattlings etc.. Space and comfort are far far better than any car in this segment with ample leg space and adequate luggage space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Same thing. The engine performs well in the ev2 and eCs dicors, but lacks horses in the old one. ev2 and ecs have a decent mileage of around 20-23 kmpl on highways and 18-20 in city with aircon on. Power is pathetic with AC on in the old indicas, but comparable in the new ones. Gearbox and shift is still a major problem with all TATA vehicles, most of the complaints are clutch and gearbox related.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent when compared to others in the segment.
Final Words Hi all, Im Prasanth from kerala. We are operating a fleet of taxis in and out of kerala at a total of around 14 cars including 4 indica, 2 indica eV2, 2 indigo eCS, 2 xylo, 1 innova, 2 Logan, and 1 new tata venture. Not a frequent visitor, but thought will write a review after readin Shesh's review. I dont know why he is writing like this. Is there any other car giving a mileage of around 20-23, with this much number of service stations coming with a price tag around 5 lakhs. TATA has priced the vehicle in that range so that we can experience all the comfort of new gen cars. Have you ever thought about spare parts prices, even for mahindra Verito, it cost around 2 to 3 times more for some parts than indica. parts for tata vehicles are available in the open market and for others ??? I think the problem is with the service station guys, and I dont think all the service networks are like the same. We are in touch with most of the service stations in tamilnadu, andhra, karnataka, and kerala and not experienced any difficulties regarding the care of the vehicle, actually all of them were excellent. Do one thing, You can get the company's top official's number the service station itself and just write a mail to the right person. If done in the proper channel, the service network people will come to you in no time and clear your problem. Dont be upset, yaar.. Even the most reliable Innova was having complaints with braking from the first day we bought it. Almost all the new cars will have some kind of problems during the first 3 services.
Areas of improvement Quality of plastics. Electrical system is the main thing that needs improvement, I think it is substandard even in new vehicles. Tata has evolved very much from what they had 2-3 years ago.

I bought an Indica eV2 in feb 2012 as I have to travell about 150 km per day. Before zeroing on Indica eV2 I had test driven every hatch back diesel car in the price range of 5 to 5.5 lacs. I feel that I ave taken a right decision by choosing this vehicle as it delivers the mileage of 33 kmpl (on national highways) and 38 kmpl (on expressway). On service part the vehicle is regularly serviced at Ashok Auto Sales Agra and their service persons especially Mr. Kishor and Mr. Shakeel pay attention to every minute problem in detail.
Exterior Elegant sporty look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features like power windows, music system are of good quality. There is so much of leg room and head room in the front as well as in the rear. The comfort of driver is taken care of by providing lumbar support. The cabin is silent and there is no disturbing noise.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is very refined and the pick up is comparable to any pertrol vehicle. The vehicle returns the fuel economy of 33 kmpl to 38 kmpl. The gear shifing is very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Handle minor potholes and bumps without being felt in the cabin.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is really nice in this price tag. Space wise, I understand it is best amongst all competitors. Comfort is always a USP for tata cars.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Unlike old indica's, this machine produces awesome power for smooth driving pleasure, however we need to change gears frequently in the traffice conditions as it will not lift from high gears, we always need to come down in 2nd gear once speed is below 20. Really this will frustate in the traffic conditions but once we cross the jams, the machine shows its power. I have driven earlier indica also and can say this machine is miles ahead. No power lag during overtake.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good but handling is not upto the mark. I feel the tyres should have been more wider to have better controle on road.
Final Words I am using this vehicle for personal use and can say it is pleasure to drive this. Some improvement required but seeing the price tag, it is really more than value for money.
Areas of improvement Tyre should be more wider. Fit n finish need to be improved.

Tata motors it self it is a problem once you buy the car. There are lot of manufacturing defects in TATA cars.
If you call the customer care (formally TATA data entry operation Services) you will be pathetic.
Customer Care Executive(Data Entry Operators) responsibilities.
Type the customer complaint exactly wrong.
If you review the complaint with some other executive you can find there will be total irrelevent in complaint registration.
If you query for existing complaint they will register a new complaint and kill us.
There is no call back on issue. There will be no feedback taken from customer.
Close the call without any further information to customer. The typical irresponsive company.

We Understand you issue.
We would be able to register new complaint.
We appologies for the inconvienence.
Please not there is no positive answer from TATA.
Better not to buy any vehicle from TATA and keep your mind peace.
Tata Service Stations: This is next milestone of TATA running service centers with unskilled labours. They get training with customer car. The damage is charged to customer.
TATA motors is supporting to such service centers and spoiling customer money.
