Dear All,
I am owner of Indica Vista Quadrajet -Aura model, and i am proud to say that mine is second car delivered in Hyderabad by Malik Cars. I am writing my one month usage feedback on the same. Till date i already drove more than 4000 KM including two long drives (More than 400 KM at a strech). I already completed my first service after reching 1200 KM.
Positives About the Car:
1. Spacious
2. Driving comfort/Handling.
3. Great pickup
4. Good looking interiors
Negatives about the Car:
1. Engine Vibration at the time of ignition.
2. Noise inside the cabin i.e engine noise at the time of driving.
3. AC is good but It gives too much noise.
4. Gear Shifting is not smooth.
5. Interiors plaistic quality Is not so great..
Fuel Economy:
In City (Hyd) - With AC On (90%) - 14.5 KM/Litre
in Highway - With AC On (90%) - Average speed (Min 70KMPH- Max 140 KMPH) - 15 KM/Litre
Remarks:
1. Engine gives too much noise with AC on, especially after long drive (Once you drive >150 KM)
2. Audio system quality is good.
3. Power steering is great.
4. I have exprianced problems with power windows and locking system which have been rectified after my first service.
My Suggestions:
If you want spacious car /reasonable value for money buy vista
For no vibration/noise engine & more milage with best AC, better buy Fiat Palio
If you can spend 40K more then only, buy Swift Diesel.
Any body can reach me for more information sharing.
Thanks
Deva

After going through the reviews of Swift VDI, FIAT Palio stile multijet or Indica Vista Quadrajet, i am really confused which one to buy.
As fuel costs have gone up,i would like to go for diesel versions. The cars at the price range i am looking for available ones are only these cars.
Can any one suggest me in order of preference which one to take. My main concerns would be 1. Fuel economy 2.Maintenance cost. 3. Comfort 4. Stile (like interiors and exteriors).

IT IS A VERY GOOD CAR
In the beginning there was a dream. A dream by a man with the vision to give us Indians a car with the seating comfort of an Ambassador for five people and the running economy of an 800 at the price of a small car. This dream realized itself as the Indica. Then came the V2 with improvements, the Indicab, the turbodiesel, the DiCOR, and many more variants. All of a sudden, there were rumors of a new Indica and the spy photographers posted their finds on the web. India went crazy; after all, the Indica was the first car designed for Indians by an Indian company from the ground up. The new Indica was showcased at the Auto Expo in Delhi 2008, and everyone wanted to drive it. However, time passed and the hype died down. People found other cars to get excited about. Eight months after the Auto Expo, the Indica Vista has been launched and promises to upset more than a few apple-carts.
The Vista looks absolutely smashing at first glance, not just because were used to seeing old Indicas everywhere we look, but the paint quality is much better, the panel gaps are smaller, and the cars size lends it a little more character.
Tata has said that nothing except the smiling grille of the car has been carried over from the old Indica, and we believe them. The first thing that grabs your attention in the front are the large headlamps which make us think of the Peugeot 207 every time we look at them. Their front edge begins from a point just outside the registration plate edges and they sweep back over the wheel arch. Looked at head-on, they seem a little too large for the car. The new wipers have dual pivot points for the left blade, to help clean more glass area. The profile is very Palio-like, but with rounded corners. The wheel arches are flared ever so slightly, but even the optional 14-inch rims dont manage to fill them out well enough. The crease running along the door handles is a nice touch, but it is also prone to getting dinged in parking lots if someone opens a door against the car the rub strip may not save it. An interesting design element is the inclusion of the indicator at the rear of the base of the A-pillar. It helps keep the side of the car uncluttered. The rear of the car looks similar to the Indigo Marinas, largely due to its size and the bumper-to-roof tail-lamps. A large logo sits under the hatchs glass, and a continuation of the door-handle crease runs between the Telco logo and the Tata badge. The hatch itself feels light to shut, something that women will appreciate, along with the notch at the center of the bottom which you can use to pull the hatch down, instead of getting your hands dirty by holding the outside of the hatch.
The paint quality has improved by leaps and bounds weve seen the Vista in scarlet, blue and grey, and we prefer the blue the most, although the people from Tata tell us that the public prefers the scarlet version. Whatever the colour, the paint has a lot of depth to it. Some panel gaps remain inconsistent and the windscreen is curiously recessed, but its an enormous leap forward over the old Indica.
The old Indica has been many things to many people a first car for college-goers, a family car for those on a budget, even a taxicab for the people-movers. The Vista takes the Indica brand a notch higher but retains the qualities that made the Indica such a favorite with the masses good value for money, fuel efficiency, cheap spares and a wide after-sales network.
The old Indica had teething problems, but Tata has tested the Vista to eliminate the little issues that used to crop up over time. Theyve put their money where their mouth is with a 75000km/2-year warranty that can be extended by two more years. Says volumes about the manufacturers confidence in the product, doesnt it?

I already had a Indica Dle 1999..1st model 1405cc diesel n just 4 gears..Its now run about 1,37,000 kms and still running in great condition..
One Decade later when i thought of buyin a new car, came the all new Indica Vista... but i was already fixed to buy suzuki swift DDis Vdi ... Which is best in class of the segment ...but one of my frnds bought new Indica Vista Aura..
Its got everything..whatever u can expect for a B+ segment car...abs n airbags would have been better but still the car is value for money...its mileage is abt 15.5-17 in city conditions n 18-20+ on highways.. I just booked it.. n will post all new pics of da car soon...
The drive is better than a ford fiesta n more spacious than most of the C segment cars..
The refinement levels of the engine, the plastics used(could have been better but still there has been a lot of impovement from old indica) inside the cabin are very good...
Its got a nice Mp3 player in da top end model ..music output is quite descent n we have steering wheel adjustment and also driver seat height adjustment...the car is very spacious...two 6footers can sit one behind another without touching his legs to front seats speaks volumes of a huge cabin...

1. Great comfort, space, good ride quality, above average build quality, good interirors.
2. Even if ur drive for 500/700 KM u will not be tired or bored and that lies the real USP.
3. Steering is little bit of more diameter, but thanks to ..hight adjustible seats and steering, that makes u smile and ignore other stuff.
4. Most important is what you get a package in an affordable price. ie. Music din w/ USB, hight adjustible seats, steering, rear wiper, fog lamps, Power windows & steering, central locking, great space and comport, tubeless tires, so this is good enough to make customer take them home.
5. Killer Headlamps during night travle will make the oponents (Trucks/ buses) to flash upper/dipper on though highways (my experience on Pune- Solapur as one of the most accident prone highway in state)
6. Speed beakers, potholes wouldnt be noticed if u drive at specfic speed.
7. Lastly Fiat engine will give u a above average mileage. But I was pretty satisfied with ride quality

People say the name indica is for cab its ok to pay less and get more. Use skoda fabia give all your money for maintenance and feel good that you have good car but no money.
In Indica Vista you get everything Looks, Power, Fuel Economy, Comfort and the most important thing Maintenance which is very very low. What else you want??
If you want something different go for Indica Vista Anniversary Edition.
I am very happy with My Indica Vista Anniversary Edition which has Alloy wheel, Excellent Graphics, Excellent Interior...etc

I have driven this car 7k kms in 50 days times. I think the fuel efficiency is absolutelty amazing. Its wonderful to drive through the valley sections without any loss of momentum. I could cover most of the ghats section in 3+ gears. Most of city driving also done in 3+ gear ensuring good FE.
It has ample space to sufficiently accomodate my family of 5 adults + 1 infant. Tata have given a lot of thought the the additional feature provided with the car that truly puts a smile on the customers face. Tata's have come a long way in the last 10 yrs but still have a long way to go so as to keep up global quality standards.
not to mentione, Vista has a very stylish European look and should be a hit with the youth. Tata's should put all emphasis to market this products. Serious buyers will consider vista as an option against swift, esp when it's priced competitive and doesn't trouble with the un-friendly and egoistic attitude of Maruti Suzuki dealers and Salesman for Swift (diesel).
Tata should back the product with a good service and low ware parts costs.

I have no Indica vista but i have indica xeta, but My brother has taken the test drive of indica vista, and he said me indica vista is great car. I have many searched about the indica vista on the internet, after reading, i also think indica vista is too great becoz it has more space, good interiors like An integrated CD player. The Indica vista gets a 2-DIN integrated CD player with USB port and remote control and other luxury features includes front fog lamps, rear fog lamps, power windows, dual tone dashboard, Teachometer, height adjustable driver seat, you can also fold the rear seats in ratio 60:40.
For the first time, the car will feature engines from partner Fiat. A new 1.2-litre petrol engine called Saffire and the 1.3-litre common-rail diesel called Quadrajet will be part of the lineup, apart from Tata’s own 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine.
so i say, this car give you value for money, So don't think, just take the test drive write now😎.
More space but also good interiors &engine response at lower speed too would be comfortable, new lookI have no reason, For saying this, I don't like this car, SorryExterior/Styles

This is the first review that I am writing for my Indica Vista Aqua TDI bought 3 weeks ago from A-One Motors, Delhi. It took me 1 month of research, 6 test drives of different cars, search for different offers/schemes etc to narrow down on Vista TDI considering the features, price and the uniqueness that it offers.
Initially, I was a little indecisive about buying the correct variant as the dealer was insisting on Quadrajet and TDI was not easily available, I could not even find precise reviews for TDI on various portals. But then after lots of discussions, thoughts and inspections I decided to go for it.
I have driven M800 for close to 7 years, so transition from Petrol to a Diesel Car was obviously felt but the car really exceeded my expectations. The pick-up is great, interiors are good even though its plastic but the 2 color combination makes it really exciting, space inside made me feel as if I am sitting in a big sedan with huge leg space both in front and rear, power windows are cool too. The Central tachometer, speedometer is a big plus as the driver can quite easily have idea about the size car whenever parking or reversing the car. The gear console is also good and the vinyl gear cover along with the dimmer feature in the cabin light gives you a sedan feel. The glove box in dashobard is also very spacious as compared to other normal cars and it can accomodate lots of other things. The hydraulic adjustible Steering is also a great bonus as you can adjust as per your driving requirements and would fit any person of any height, weight etc.
The only point that I feel which TATA can work upon is reducing the engine noise even though its felt very less inside the car but the car is heavy being 1405 cc engine as compared to a petrol car and you would feel the heaviness of the car while shifting gears from 2nd to 3rd. Another thing could be enlarging the boot space as the space is little less as compared to the previous versions of Indica.
As far as the mileage is concerned, I have driven the car for around 550km till now and though I havent really tracked it but my guess is around 14-15 km/litre without AC in city conditions. I hope that it would increase after a few services.
All in all, I would say that its VFM ( Value for Money Car) and you can buy it if you have a budget of around 4-4.5 L and are looking for an all feature, fuel efficient car. I would come back for another review maybe after 1-2 months.
