Exterior Though it looks  like blown up copy of the INDICA, that will be  an insult. it looks good, but the finishing on the joints  and hinges is not what what i expect in a 19 lacs car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious. both the front seats have armrests, but the storage cubby hole below that is missing. But it is more than made up by a central panel on the ceiling . Problem is i dont know  what to use it for  and the plastic and the finish quality  is very cheap. The seats  have a very synthetic leather finish. The last  row seats fiod into the floor and thats a neat arrangement and it gives  a humongous  trunk space. The 6 airbags is a first  on any Indian car in this price range.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The gear shifts  were smooth and  apart from the noise  when idling, the sound is dampened  quite well. The Music  comes thru well and  and the  engine  noise  does not interfere  with the music. The  acceleration is good and the steering is responsive.

Ride Quality & Handling Drove the car in traffic and  and it rode the bangalore pot holes well. .  Its  not fun but  is certainly easy to drive, despite the size.

Final Words The positioning of the car is not in the Innova class, but it is difficult  not to compare, beacause of its looks . Starting from the 4 wheel drive and the  features,  the price differential is worth the money. This has to be compared  with the  softroaders like the Chevrolet captiva ,  Outlander and the Santa fe.  Compared to these vehicles, this a  definite value for money, especially if  you want a 7 seater.  What will really  put you off is the quality of the interiors.

Having test driven all soft roaders now, I am going in  for the CAPTIVA AWD . Its more fun to drive  and more  refined both under the hood and the interiors.

Areas of improvement Attention to detailing, on the INTERIORS.

seating, easy to drive, fully loadedbuild quality, tacky interiors
