Volvo S90

Variants:

Volvo offers the 2022 S90 in a single trim, called the B5 Inscription (mild-hybrid).

Market introduction:

The updated S90 was launched in the country on 21 September 2022.

Engine and transmission:

It is powered by a new 1,996cc in-line four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, this engine is paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for optimised fuel efficiency and acceleration.

Exterior:

The updated S90 gets a new grille with vertical slats arranged in a chrome frame, moreover, there are new bumpers with a chrome bar, redesigned LED taillamps and 18-inch alloy wheels and there is a new ducktail spoiler on the boot lid. Apart from the additions, Volvo offers full-LED headlights with signature daytime running lights and a heated front Volvo logo.

Interior:

The charcoal interior of the car wears Nappa leather upholstery offered in either Amber or Maroon Brown. Like the other Volvo models, the S90 also gets a new nine-inch Android-based infotainment touchscreen display with Google apps, navigation and suchlike. Besides, the cabin is equipped with a crystal gear stick, ventilated front seats with massage function, an advanced air cleaner with PM 2.5 sensor, rear-window electric sunblind and side window curtains.

Features:

The 2021 S90 features four-zone temperature control, twelve-inch digital driver display, adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, 360-degree cameras, rear collision warning, lane-keeping and oncoming lane mitigation, post-impact braking, a wireless charging pad and a 19-speaker, 1,400 watt Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system.

Seating capacity:

The saloon can accommodate five passengers including the driver.

It comes in four paint options - Crystal White, Denim Blue, Onyx Black and Bright Silver.

The 2022 Volvo S90 competes against the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB, and Lexus ES 300h Hybrid.
