After lot of test drives I have chosen Volkswagen Vento Tsi Highline plus as my car in 2021 and drove around 22,000 Km happily. Initially I had a feeling that the mileage is too low between 11 to 14 Km on an average but after first service in 15000 Km my Vento gave me 18 + Km/litre and I am pretty confident that it will give better mileage than most of the sedans available in the current lineup. The claimed mileage of 18.6 is on the main central road in Kerala against mild traffic and speed ranged between 40 to 80 Km/h.

The car was purchased at EVM Volkswagen, Muvattupuzha. The sales team was quite friendly; but their knowledge about the technical details and other matters on sales were not satisfactory. Why I have such an opinion is because I had studied about the model extensively through youtube videos and write up of other users and experts and the team was not able to clear many of my doubts. The performance of the car is superb! The power and acceleration is really satisfying. The gear shift is very smooth and unless one watch the speedometer very often, crossing speed limit is a sure possibility! I have driven it on highways and by roads in the interior parts of Kerala and found that the shock absorbers are strong and comfortable enough to navigate the vehicle through the numerous potholes that are everywhere in Kerala now. The low ground clearance is a matter of concern when driving through rough roads. The pleasure of driving this car is something to experienced and cherished!! Colour of my car is 'sunset red' according to the company, though it seems to me as dark red. This is a new introduction for the 2019 facelift version of Vento. It is definitely an attention grabbing colour with the modified honeycomb front grill. I still have not received the graphics and badge 'GT line' which also is a new addition to the facelift version of this variant. The dealer says the company have not sent them even after a lapse of one month after delivery? In this context I would like to mention that the response from the Volkswagen company on any query is pathetic. They simply forward your mails to the dealers without even reading them. I have taken the vehicle for the first check up after driving one thousand kilometers. It cannot be called a servicing. They check the tightness of bolts and nuts, wear of brakes etc. The real service with oil change etc. will be at 15000 kilometers. Build quality, performance, ease of handling and safety features, ample leg space and boot space, silent engine and good sound proofing inside are the main pros which influenced me to chose this car. There is good visibility all around even for short people with the height adjusted seat. Electrically adjustable seat would have been more convenient. Low ground clearance is a matter of concern and surely not ideal for roads in Kerala. Control of the ORVMs is cumbersome; the mirrors do not fold and open with the engine stop and start; it has to be manually operated. Opening boot and lowering and raising window panes with remote key is not very useful. Push button start which is a standard feature in top variant of this class is absent in this car. It is fitted with 195/55 R16 tyres. I think 205/55 R16 tyres would have enhanced the look and drivability of this car. All together a very good car and I am happy with my choice.

Driving experience is fabulous Only few changes in this car but not look old in the market this is called German beauty Service is slightly expensive but performance is top notch Average of the car is 16 to 18 and I am happy with it.

I love my Vento as much as my wife". What more to say. Driven 1.2 lakh km single handedly. this is drivers paradise. What a sweetheart. Punch in the engine is robust and most importantly Safest CAR in its window. No parts damaged until only changed mandatory Timer belt after 1 lakh km. Brake pads still working fine. Service costs Rs. 10k in a year only. Even after 1.2 lakh km its the same car that i bought 7.4 years ago. VW is best all hands down. Do not go for funky City or Verna if you want to drive it. Its just show buzz and nothing else. German Engineer is the best in the world

I bought VW VENTO 1.6 P for safety concerns. Its worth buying. It gives 18 kmpl on highway and 13 kmpl in city. Interior feels premium and exterior is decent looking. Its a pleasure drive no cons for me. Service costs 11k-12k a year maintenance cost depends on your driving.

I am love with this car. Just go for it..comfort and a driving experience is marvelous. The engine power and the pickup was very good and its a very power full call. The maintenance might be greater than other cars but performance is good

I had polo 1.2 earlier, exchanged for Vento TSI 2020 highline plus. It's an amazing comfort and convenience. I had best experience in driving comfort. I drove 19000 kms in 10 months. Average mileage on highway is 21km/l. Best I got was 25km/l in 65km speed average on highways. With 70 to 80 km speed range mileage was 20 to 21 km/l. Max I got was 27km/l with 50 to 60 km speed for 50 km drive.

Injector keeps on failing every now and then. Volkswagen is not doing anything to change the design. Its very expensive and keep on failing every now and then. I got stuck on highways twice due to this.
