Exterior Good looking. We would not find the exterir look like this in other seden vehile.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Everything is very good except the plastics used which looks cheep.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Amazing, Superb, excellent performance of the engine, noiseles drive. During the test drive I have not heared any noise inside the car. I heve done test driven Verna but I find lot of noise even after switching off the AC. Here is the German design. You can not compare Vento with any other cars like Verna, Ford fiesta, Aveo, Fiat lienea. Ofcourse all TATA cars are meant for taxi only. Honda city can be compared with Vento to some extent. Engine performance and breaking system shows how Germans are much ahed of others in the design.
Ride Quality & Handling Exelent ride quality and breaking is excellent.
Final Words My rating is four star. VW Vento is better than Honda city and we can not compre with other brands with vento.
Areas of improvement VW has not launched Shadow Blue and Biege colour. This is very much upset. I booked in December 2010 but the car is not delivered yet. I will wait for the Shadow blue colour till its launch. Waiting period is very bad. The company should satisfy the custoers by delivering within 2-3 months of booking.
Exelent breaking, noiceless drive, no vibration, Good style, better milage compared to other similarPlastics used inside should have been better quality

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I was forsed to wait for one hour for a test drive at hyderabad dealership and teh car was perfoming verry bad towards engine beaing an automobile graduate I aws ashamed to say the engine makes erratic noise amd misfiring as like an old maruti car the same was with my dicor engine which is of 4.5 lacks on road and it turn my foot to step out the showroom .
Final Words keep the better performing car at the demo spot and give an instent demo with out delay to test the pashence & with out wastin the valuble time of the customer.
Areas of improvement Some mismanagement is happened in the deler setup side or the engine performance side kindly rectify for the fourther customer retention. It is my humble request not to damage the name of volkswagen brand name with under performing dealers staff.

Hi All,
This is my 1st ever review on Carwale. Ever since i was a child i was bought up in this environment of Japanese and Korean brands, with just one outlook that a car should hve good fuel economy and shud b low at maintenance. But times hve changed and now other factors such as ride, handling, premium feel, features r considered. I owned a Hyundai i10 Kappa engine b4 this, and altough the car was very good in most of areas and did its job very well.But did not excelled in any one area. its never caused any problems in its tenure of 2 yrs and 35K KMs it was with me. But due to the rising cost of petrol and space issues (family of 4 with average height being 5'7".myself being 6'1 😄) during long journeys compelled me to change. Also, at the time of buying my i10 i had considered Fabia petrol, but again due to the above factors nad some family opinions i shifted my mind to i10 even though i liked evr aspect of the Fabia over i10. But this time i wanted a car which gives me absolute thrill n pleasure while driving(as i drive myself). So here my experience:
Exterior
Quite elegant. Please all offend none types. although understated quit crisp, typical German (some bits taken from Audi stable). i especially like the side profile. The Volkwagen logo looks awesome on the front grille.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Altough there is a common belief that it it a Polo+Boot, let me clarify that only parts are shared btu it is a sedan which is built from scratch. The interior space is good. can accomodate 4 persons wid ease. It actually can pack in 5 but the huge hump(trasmission tunnel) limits it. Ergonomically perfect, but i personally feel the turn indicators shud hve been on the right side. The positioning of the front armrest is debatable though. altough for me its perfect 😎. the dashborad layout is pretty simple but ergonomic.typical German. Except for one absurdly placed bonnet openin lever which if u need to open the door as its confilts wid the door panel. Seats r quite nice altough i feel a bit more thigh support wud hve been better. Legroom good, Steering feel and positioning is great. On the features list especially for the trendline version is disappointing altough the cabin quality makes u forget that. Driver side door shud hve access to all windows(my i10 also had). the ac blower noise is also on the higher side for 3+ Speed. Premiun feels once ur in side the cabin.Rest fine.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Its a stonking diesel this one..Hoots, bomb to drive. Lots of low end torque and quite linear too.Just press the accelerator n off she shoots. But the clutch shud hve been a bit more soft compared to fluidic Verna(my uncle owns it n hve driven for fair amt of kms). Also, i feel the diesel lacks on the refinement levels too when compared to competitors. Fuel ecoomy is very good. I get 14-15 in city(peak hour mumbai traffic) and 18-20 on highway. Gear shifting is good but cud hve been better. Top speed also good. personally touched 180 kmph on expressway.
Ride Quality & Handling
This is where the Germans hve mastered it. The Japanes and Koreans will take ages for it. At low speeds, straight lines or throw it around corners, u will never feel nervous. Although ABS cud hve been the perfect icing on the cake but by no means it lacks bike without ABS. Also, i personally feel the tyre size shud hve been atleast 15"n above. At low speeds there r sliht thud that filter in but thats due to the stiff suspension setup altough the people onside r not bothered much.
Final Words
Final Say: Own it to believe it. Just dun judge it on the features list alone. Kepp it up VW!! Way to go.
Areas of improvement
Add ABS and bit more on the finicky features, make small mud flaps, increase the service network, bonnet opening lever, tyre sixe.

Exterior If you look at the exterior of the car its elegance will steal your heart. It has road presence there is no doubt about it. Its VW logo gives it a premium look which other cars can't give.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors of the car are of good quality material. When you will sit in the car it seems you have sit in the 20 lakhs car as build quiality of this car is unmachable. Its plastic is not cheap like maruti, verna ford but of cars like AUDI, BMW,,,It has acres of space especially at the rear seat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox lets talk about its magic engine. Its like a powerhouse thats churns 250 N/M of torque and this engine can beat any other engine on road even of fortuner's engine. After 1800 rpm it zooms like a rocket. No other car can beat this powerhorse. I drove verna too before buying this but verna was not stable at hight speed. But this car is damn stable even at 170 Km/ hour. If I talk about the gearbox its smooth as butter. I dont face any problem in shifting gears.
Ride Quality & Handling It smoothly glides on the road as it absorbs all the potholes very effeciently.
Final Words I am really impressed by this car. I give 8 out of 10 to this car. Its really a value for money. If you have to choose between verna, ford fiesta and vento then without any other thought you must lock vento.

I bought vento Automatic, in jan 2013 in bangalore from apple auto, it's hardly month old, since I bought there is a loud noise coming from the rear of the car when ever the car passes a speed breaker at 20kph some times even at 15kph. Apple Auto in bangalore are hopeless and they are just interested in a sale and after that they just ignore you. I have given my car to them to loom into the problem and for last 10 days the car is with them and no update from them regarding the same and finally they say the car is alright and all the cars of VW make a loud noise from the rear when they pass the speed breakers. I just can't believe them and I have driven lot of makes and models but never experienced such thing. Not to mention how pathetic their toll free number service, it's just an eye wash as far as resolving problems are concerned. All bangaloreans pls avoid apple auto like hell.

Areas of improvement VW have to come up with contact numbers and email addresses for the grievances as the toll free numbers ane the email address on their web site is of very little help, the call center guys do not know any other information other than the info from the website. If you have a concern/grievances there is a very remote possibility of help Fromm the VW India. Unless your dealpro helps you there is no other option.
Avoid VWBrand as there is no transparency and all the information that thou are supposed to know, like VW standards, your prevail ages like courtesy car etc are closed held and no one gives out any customer benifitial information.

Exterior A good looking car. One look is enough to convince that this is a German Engineered car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The climatronic A/C is very good. Cools (not chills) uniformly. Although a bit noisy at blower speeds above 3. I could adjust the seat to ‘my’ ideal position. Internal space is quite good. My wife & kids are very happy. In my previous car, we were used to storing a lot of sundry items (files, purse, etc.) behind the rear seats; this is simply not possible in Vento. Anything you keep there is bound to fall on the seat due to it slope. Stereo sound quality is ok, but lacks many features (I am not just talking about Blue-5 which I really miss. But also about simple CD navigation / information features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is very refined (as would be expected at this segement). Responds well. I got around 400Kms from my first tank-full (50 Ltrs), an average of 8 Kmpl. In my next one, it is about 12 kmpl. Could be because my initial driving was mostly in city (my workplace is around 3Kms away from home) & it is only in last week that have driven on highway
The gears are smooth & have a good feel. But needs to be changed fast, especially on lower gears. Arm rest is at correct height & really conformable.
Ride Quality & Handling Drive is really smooth. Absolutely no vibrations or sound in idling. Braking is great & very stable. Dead pedal is something I really miss. Sometimes, while over-taking on highways, I felt the power was lagging. Overall the car is very stable, even at high speed (although I rarely travel at more than 110kmph). The steering wheel gives a feeling of being in command & responds very well in all speeds & road conditions. Suspensions are superb. Comfortable even on recently dug-up up roads Strangely though, I have sometimes experienced a big ‘thud’ on relative small pot-holes. One probable reason could be suspension's bottom spring mount plate which is mounted pretty low. Driving position is very good.
Final Words Over-all, in-spite of some minor issues, I am quite happy with this car! I feel I have got a good deal for my money.
Areas of improvement Need to provide Dead pedal, Blue-5, Steering mounted controls & a better stereo. Mileage could also be improved. In 2-3 days of taking delivery of the car I noticed that bonnet alignment was a bit out. There gap on one side was more as compared to other. When I took the car to showroom, initial reactions was that I am imagining it! (The difference was hardly noticeable), however on closer scrutiny, it was found that one of mounting bushing of the bonnet was missing. Was promptly replaced. Central locking is a biggest pain. My 3 years old can open the car from inside even if I engage the central lock (that too, manually). Locking only disables opening from outside.

Exterior Strong Built, Lights could have been better. I am thinking of changing the lights.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Simple and Intelligent. Space is excellent specially i love the back seat comfort.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox So Far its blown me away. At 160 KM/Hr speed I could press more. Highway mileage is close to 18 in my first 1000 kms running.
Ride Quality & Handling Very Good. The Torque is amazing when the car is picked up from 60-70 to further speeds. Highway is a treat to drive.
Final Words The overall driving is excellent. Car is in shortage so we do get lots of eyeballs.The car is excellent Value for money compared to Jetta or Toyota Altis Diesal. I hope the wow factor lasts as VW is new in India so spare parts and service network could be pricey.
Areas of improvement Better Client management at VW stores, Better service network and cheaper cost of spares. Noise could be less but I guess Diesel cars are still improving in that area.

Exterior Nice looking Car but will dent the image of the buyer that VW Vento will be just a boot extended Polo. Quality of Painting and Apealing VW Logo is +point. Brand Logo will be nice.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very Poor Audio Player, Poor Door locking arrangement, No steering controls, Not much utilities and bad bump for 3rd rear passenger. For a Car at 10 Lac segment, the Interior features are really disappointing one esp. the Audio System do not even support USB or iPod. Seats and Space is comfort but for the 3rd passenger in rear who have to suffer due to the bump in the middle.

Ride Quality & Handling Really Nice mid size Car to Drive and Handle. I would say that it will be in the class of Honda City but for Diesel.

Exterior Unmistakable design/ body lines, nice looking saloon.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are superb with dual tone color. Nice a/c and good stereo,lovely and comfy seats. Driver gets seat and steering adjustments.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Petrol 1.6 liter Engine is Good and bit noisy. 105 HP is less for this saloon atleast 150 HP should have been Given. Fuel economy with A/C ON gives about 13.8 - 14.4 in Highways and in INDIAN city traffic conditions it gives you about 10.4 - 12.2 KMPL. Lovely and smooth 5 speed Manual Gearbox.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is Good but have done better is some areas,whereas Handling is Good under 140 KM above that it feels like out of control. wish they would have given Traction control.
Final Words Best Petrol Saloon under 10K.
Areas of improvement Increase in HP and Torque, 105 hp is so under powered for this baby, Increase in Height around 20 MM, Increase in wheel size (instead of 14 and 15) to 16 or 17 Inch Alloy with a little wider Tyres. Touch screen/navi system like in VW Jetta (should be given as optional) as no USB or AUX in stock Music system. Or atleast USB/AUX connectivity provided would be Great. Very good Leather seats in all versions of VW VENTO instead of Fabric seats. A Inch lengthier than current available. should have Steering mounted Audio controls for all Vento models.
If all these are Provided by VW dealership then VW will make a Mark in Indian History.

Exterior Exterior of this car are not so good. especially the rear looks. rest all is fine. Front is Ok.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are not as expected by a best German Manufacturer, but still have some class in them. Arm rest in between the two front seats and and rear AC vent is something which has impressed a lil.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine Performance is not as expected, especially the Pick up. The lag in the pick up is very disappointing.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is nice. No complaints.
Final Words Overall a good buy considering its brand name, and its price tag but could have been much better. Can be compared to Honda City but cannot be better than that. City always will have an edge over it, in terms of Ride Quality, Engine Performance.
Areas of improvement Exterior Looks and Pick up are the major areas of concern. Fuel Economy is good, but pick up again has disappointed. Will suggest everybody who is going for it, to have a test drive, and buy only if it appeals to them.
