      Exterior Very good in the segment. Looks mature sedan. no unwanted curves and shapes.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very good. Gear box is excellent and far better than city honda, fludic, ford fiesta. If u drive without much throtle all the time and allow to run the vehicle smooth in clutch dis-engaged position or neutral gear - slide without applying breaks much - keep RPM 1000 - 1200, u must get + 17 KM / L on highway and +13 in city ( petrol ).

      Ride Quality & Handling Best in segment.

      Final Words Value for money. Just go for it. Germans are too good in eng. VV is europe number 1 car campany and number 2 in world. They will always do best. I did lot of survey on city / fludic / fiesta / linea / dzire and ruled out all. Finalized VV vento HL - petrol. Using for last 15 days - +1000 KM over.

      Exterior A good looking car. One look is enough to convince that this is a German Engineered car.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The climatronic A/C is very good. Cools (not chills) uniformly. Although a bit noisy at blower speeds above 3.  I could adjust the seat to ‘my’ ideal position.  Internal  space is quite good. My wife & kids are very happy. In my previous car, we were used to storing a lot of sundry items (files, purse, etc.) behind the rear seats; this is simply not possible in Vento. Anything you keep there is bound to fall on the seat due to it slope. Stereo sound quality is ok, but lacks many features (I am not just talking about Blue-5 which I really miss. But also about simple CD navigation / information features.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is very refined (as would be expected at this segement). Responds well. I got around 400Kms from my first tank-full (50 Ltrs), an average of 8 Kmpl. In my next one, it is about 12 kmpl. Could be because my initial driving was mostly in city (my workplace is around 3Kms away from home) & it is only in last week that have driven on highway

      The gears are smooth & have a good feel. But needs to be changed fast, especially on lower gears. Arm rest is at correct height & really conformable.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Drive is really smooth. Absolutely no vibrations or sound in idling. Braking is great & very stable. Dead pedal is something I really miss. Sometimes, while over-taking on highways, I felt the power was lagging.  Overall the car is very stable, even at high speed (although I rarely travel at more than 110kmph). The steering wheel gives a feeling of being in command & responds very well in all speeds & road conditions. Suspensions are superb. Comfortable even on recently dug-up up roads  Strangely though, I have sometimes experienced a big ‘thud’ on relative small pot-holes. One probable reason could be suspension's bottom spring mount plate which is mounted pretty low.  Driving position is very good.

       

      Final Words Over-all, in-spite of some minor issues, I am quite happy with this car! I feel I have got a good deal for my money.

       

      Areas of improvement Need to provide Dead pedal, Blue-5, Steering mounted controls & a better stereo. Mileage could also be improved. In 2-3 days of taking delivery of the car I noticed that bonnet alignment was a bit out. There gap on one side was more as compared to other. When I took the car to showroom, initial reactions was that I am imagining it! (The difference was hardly noticeable), however on closer scrutiny, it was found that one of mounting bushing of the bonnet was missing. Was promptly replaced. Central locking is a biggest pain. My 3 years old can open the car from inside even if I engage the central lock (that too, manually). Locking only disables opening from outside.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) SIMPLE AND ELEGANT. SPACE- VERY SPACIOUS. Though a big hump in the back centre region on the floor is like a currse to its elegant design.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox EXCELLENT ENGINE PERFORMANCE. U KNOW HAVE TO GET USED TO THE ALMOST SOUND LESS ENGINE WHEN THE CAR IS STATINARY U ALMOST FEEL THE CAR IS SWITCHED OFF. GEAR RATIO VERY GOOD.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling IT FLIIES AND IS VER SMOTTH THOUGH SOMETIMES SUSPENSION DOES GIVE A HARD SOUND. BUT THATS OK. Handling - is very easy and strain free.

       

      Final Words EXCELLENT CAR NEEDS IMPROVEMENT IN CERTIAN MINOR AREAS.  GO FOR PETROL VERSION -- IF YOU WANT A SEXY NOISELESS PERFORMANCE AND BUDGET IS NOT A PROBLLEM.. LIKE IT IS FOR ME. GO for the diesel version -- if u want fuel economy.

       

      Areas of improvement FUEL ECONOMY. SHOULD COME WITH AN OTION OF STEERING CONTROLS AND USB/AUX FACILITIES ATLEAST IN THE TOP END OF BOTH THE VARIANTS (DIESEL/PETROL).

      Exterior Quite good enough and masculine feeling of the body just like a 6/8 Pack.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, Comfortable. Little bit of difficulty in seeing through rear windscreen while driving as full view is not possible. All controls , buttons etc are well placed and easy to operate. Most of the buttons have multi functions and so less no of buttons/controls. Good quality inbuilt music system . Even with 4 speakers, it was much better in quality than what I saw in one of my friend's recently bought Tata Manza Elan which was loaded with 4/6 speakers + 2 tweaters etc.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have just completed 600 Km only in last 30 days of ownership and only 20 days of driving and that too driven only in City. Excellent for City driving , easy to maneuver and very responsive steering and I completely liked the drive. w.r.t Fuel economy, I think it is around 11.5 now as I use A/C allways. Climate control is very effective and you dont need to bother about reducing and increasing the cooling/vents etc as everything is adjusted automaticaly once you set the degree required. Those who sit in back were very very happy on the ride quality and felt it very comfortable . The one who sit in the middle seat was not that happy with the hump but will feel certainly bad if it was a long drive.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is excellent. The suspension is superb and it is almost silent inside the cabin. It is difficult to know whether engine is on or not.

       

      Final Words Great Car to own , a no frill car and so a decent executive car. I liked each and every aspect of the car and would recommend to those who like a great car with no fancy stuff.

       

      Areas of improvement I feel VW could have done some thing to get rid of the hump , Provided AUX, USB, Ipod support in music system.

      Exterior looks great and feels like a royal car for that price, bought the car on oct 14th 2011 from modi at uppal in hyderabad good sales person and the staff well trained and got a good deal on the highline petrol from them paid 9.35 L with with 25 K worth free accecories and a full tank fuel 52liters just have to pay for the registration that might be 1 K. drove the car around 500 kms and enjoying the ride (except the fuel consumption) the car is cool smooth ride smooth gear shifts and easy to ride on low speeds as well dont have to shift to 1st gear like verna.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good only the fuel economy is a bit bothering me and the gearbox is good.

      Ride Quality & Handling Every thing is fine with Vento nothing to complaint.

      Final Words Worth the money.

      Exterior Exteriors are good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quite satisfactory. Doors can be opened from inside inspite of being centrally locked. that's bit strange. limate control is good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is fine.fuel eco-15km/l, gear box is fine too.

      Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good, but cabin noise is extremely high at high speed. Feels as windows have been left open.found it very uncomfortable.also there is some ratteling noise on left side on bumpy roads. Took the vehicle to dealer but they said it is on all vehicles and can't be rectified. Would like to know if others are also having similar defects on thier vehicle. Radio is of poor quality. planning to fit a new one.

      Final Words Not really happy owning it. For me cabin noise is too uncomfortable. You got increase the volume of Radio if you want to hear it properly at high speed.

      Areas of improvement As mentioned above.

      Exterior Exterior is well design does not look like attached backend, as its based on Polo platform. Front design can be most aggressive. Good aerodynamic look.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good features like safety, multiple display dashboard, fornt passanger seat has backside lever so that the person sitting behind can move the seat. Extra features like ABS, Front Airbags for driver and co-driver, Climatronic automatic air conditioning, Radio with CD player MP3 and four speaker including roof Antenna, Fog light, front & rear , 15” Alloy wheels, etc.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is smooth & works better even if Air conditioning is on. Fuel economy is good on highways In city also gives around 12-13 kmpl with AC on.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is comfortable. handling is good.

      Final Words Good vehcile to use it for daily purpose.

      Areas of improvement Front design. USB & Auxillary inputs to be provided in highline. Steering controls. Could have provided rear sensors in highline.

      Exterior WELL!!! great looks and very beautifully sculptured design. GROUND CLEARANCE JUST OK. NO PROBLEMS. RIGHT SIDE WIPER (DRIVER SIDE) cannot be pulled back fully which may hinder efficient cleaning.Also the design of the bonnet towards the wind sheild is slighlty akward (it projects like a cap) so during autumn months when the leaves shed and you park your car under the tree it may be an anoying task too clean it regularly. Once you open the boot lid toward the back light a rubber covering is placed which is not body tight and has a space so again the problem of designing arise.. and you may have to clean it up time and again.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Simple and elegant design (no jazzy and glittering stuff) but yet very sexy and classy. AWE !!!!!!! HIGH END NO USB PORT NO AUX... VERY STARNGE.!!!!!!! Big hump in the centre. very difficult for the passenger in the middle to be comfortable on long drives.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox  SOLID POWERFUL ENGINE. Fuel economy. Well its giving me 13 km/lit with AC in the city drive on an average.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling WAHT DO I SAY.. SIMPLY AWESOME.

       

      Final Words GREAT car, Go for it if you want the quality and style. may be a little tough on the pockets though.

      Exterior Excellent Exterior with nothing left to spare. Wish they had added the side indicators on the wing mirrors. Reverse light is a bit dim for me. Reverse indicator and guidance system should be available. Dealer has some obsolete system. No provision for the visual aid system even if you wanted to fit one yourself. Dealer said warranty will expire if someone else tampered the wiring. Well VW, wake up and smell the roses. Provide accessories and the means to fit them or stop giving nonsense about expired warranties.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable. Being quite tall, very long drives make me cramped and caused my rear to ache. Needs a bigger rear view mirror. Wonder why they did not add the cooler in the glove box. Even the Skoda Fabia has that. REAR AC could have had some form of blower control. The Airflow felt a little mild, particularly when you are just getting in the car on a hot day. Once the main AC has cooled out things, the rear ac seems fine. Driver armrest is very nice but awkward. Seems to interfere with the hand brake but you can actually operate the hand brake with 2 fingers so I don't have to strong-arm anything. Sloping Rear Panel behind seats makes it impossible to keep anything there (no I don't plan to keep a stuffed toy there!).

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth drive, smooth engine, fluid gear shift. Braking was soft and efficient. At times pickup seemed sluggish for a couple of seconds but I think I need to get used to the correct gear ratios for the required pull.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. Braking hard seemed to make the vehicle glide a little, perhaps the ABS which I am not used to as yet. Often I am travelling at 100 kmph, but the cabin is so quite that I can't tell this unless I look at the speedometer. Engine is super smooth and quiet, as I would expect from the Germans.

       

      Final Words People see VW logo and gracefully get out of the way. Thats what I like and thats what I bought this car for (and because I cant afford a BMW or Merc ... yet). Extremely comfortable for all passengers. Interiors are bleak and missing a few features but Germans are minimalists. Maybe they will get the hang of Indian tastes soon. I just got the car for a week and I have yet to ascertain the mileage.

       

      Areas of improvement

      1. Wider REAR VIEW mirror is definitely needed. The present one is tiny.

      2. Reverse light needs to be brighter.

      3. Reverse guidance system needs to be available with dealers and required provisions to be in dashboard instrumentation. Don't want to see devices stuck on top of the dashboard which is what happens if you want this type of system installed.

      4. No place to keep tissue box. Weird but I am a sweaty  guy so I need my tissues and my kids are messy.

      5. Instrumentation on steering would help set this car apart

      6. The most limited range of accessories that one can think of are available with the dealers. And most of those that are, are not in stock. I am waiting for my seat covers and am told it will be 10 days to get them! Jeez! Visited local accessories guy and he showed me tons of stuff! Again VW needs to take the pointer from us innovative Indians!
