Views from a bachelor who loves long rides

Volkswagen ameo is driver oriented car, if u are buying car for driver strongly not recommended. My requirement was a comfortable car for city and long rides. 1. Buying experience- Volkswagen members are very friendly they will themselves tell u about pros and cons. Will not hide anything, no hidden charges, all accessories will be provided in addition u will also get attractive discounts. 2. Riding experience- I am driving cars since last 8 years and trust me the feel which you will get on its steering u will not get on any other compact sedan. Obviously you can compare it with SUV or sedan cars like Verna or city. Handling of car is very comfortable, specially a bit hard steering compare to Hundai or Maruti Suzuki gives u real sporty feel on turns. Cruise control is awesome. Pick up bit less if u compare it with i20. But i20 doesn't have that feel which this car will give u on highway because of its heaviness. 2. Looks & performance- Interiors- Awesome quality Sturdy feeling Feels like u are sitting in a monster and not a soft cushion. Kind of functions and on steering mount buttons are class in itself. Exterior- Heavy built ( that's what for Volkswagen is known for) Had a small accident with swift, just minor dent in my car and that swift was completely open. Perfect looks of vento from front. Rear side sharp cuts make it stand in different class from other cars. Performance- Petrol version RPM bit less. U need to shift one gear down on upslope Tension free engine. No need of buying additional warranty. Long rides milage given to me by car is 19 kmpl whereas company claims only 17.4 kmpl. That's what show how genuine and loyal Volkswagen is. 4. Service and maintenance- Complete tension free car. Just need one service in a year or after 15000 km. No need to go again and again to service center. All works on cars need to be done are auto generated by system, service center can't reduce any work/ service or can't add any work/service. Even if u wish like don't want to change spark plugs and tells service center not to replace if it's due as per your km run. You can't do that because any manipulation in to do list will not update data in system as service done, it will show normal maintain. Service is not at all costly. Roughly cost around 9000. If we look at other cars they cost 5000 for one service and need service twice a year. 5. Pros- Best in its segment. View from driver seat Heavy built Highly stable on turns. Feels like driving high end car on highway Window glass control on key remote Soft gear box Mirroy link Comfortable for both front sitting High cooling AC Rear AC vent. Ground clearance good. Tilt and telescopic steering adjustment Cruise control 6. Cons Rear seat less leg space Not rear sitting oriented car. Boot space could have been managed better. Less popular due to its negativity in market. Resale value less at present. Leather upholstery not available in any of the segment.
