Excellent Car

 

Exterior The Toyota Etios is Very well propotioned  & looks like a proper Big Sedan,  The Build Quality is like Every Japanese manufacturer ( Toyota, Honda , Suzuki ) & is Light but extremely well built. The paint quality is Excellent & shines very well. The Front view is very friendly & smiling , the rear view is good with beautiful tail lamps & a nice chrome strip. even the side view is very well propotioned. The Boot space is very huge & can take suitcases of entire Army !!  Overall the Car has excellent exteriors.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort The Etios Has Excellent cabin Space with huge Legroom for Passengers , The Seats are very Comfortable & offer good support.  The AC is very powerful & cooled the cabin fast even in Hot Mumbai Summer !!  All controls are ergonomically placed & are within drivers reach , The music system is above average, The cabin feels good even during long drives & The Car feels like a True Big Car !!

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Japanese Cars always have superb Engines & the Toyota Etios too has a smooth 1500cc unit that produces 89-90Bhp with 132Nm Torque, The car weighs about 900kgs & hence the Power to weight Ratio is Excellent & the Car has damn good Pick up & top speeds !!  The Engine is tuned for good Safe & stable family driving with priority being Good Fuel economy. The car si good fun to drive with good acceleration & pick up.  I am currenty getting overall Fuel economy of 16kmpl which the company says after 1st service will be 17.5kmpl.  The Gearbox is smooth & easy to use, The clutch is Light & is joy to use. Overall Full marks for engine , economy & gearbox.

 

Ride Quality & Handling The Ride Quality of The Car is excellent & is much better than Manza , dzire & Logan !!  I drive the car on pot-holed roads of Mumbai as well as smooth expressway & the Car rides well on both surfaces at all speeds. The passengers get full comfort on all roads. The handling is like it is on all family sedans which is stable & safe. Overall the car gives good Ride & handling & passengers feel fresh even after long drives.

 

Final Words The Etios is an Excellent car from Toyota & is ideal sedan for Indian families. I was very surprised to see some people critisizing the car on this website but then I realised that its because they have high expectations from toyota , they are complaining about lack of climate control , music system quality & all but tell me honestly how many people have climate control or music player in car as priority ?? The normal Family man expects well Bulit Car with good reliable Engine , good Economy & good service which Toyota provides.  if some other car had some minor flaws then no one would would complain but from toyota they expect 100% perfection ! its like if normal batsman scores 40 runs then we are happy but from Sachin Tendulkar we expect century everytime he bats !, similarly The Toyota Etios is the Sachin Tendulkar of Cars & is way superior too all other cars in this segment.  If you are getting a Toyota in 6 Lakhs then why the hell would anyone put Money in a Maruti or Tata car ??.   I Own a Golden Toyota Etios & am very happy with it, I fully & honestly recommend the Car too everyone, The Joy of owning a Toyota is truly Magical !!

 

Areas of improvement Excellent Car in all Respects... maybe Plastic quality can be Improved a bit... but overall a superb car !!
