Exterior I am impressed by the desingn.However this is totally based on individual perspective.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior space is awesome. Good for elderly. I have not found similar advantage in cars within this segment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine works good but produces too much noice. I like the gear but not satisfied with lever motion while putting reverse gear. This car required less gear to gear transitions.The car goes without knocking in 40kmph in 5th gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Etios offers Quality Ride. We get to feel very relaxed.I found it relatively smooth and easy to handle.
Final Words Its a very good car for the price at which its sold. I am totally satisfied with the car. The car looks cool only if you fix a bumper spoiler.Wish company makes it a defacto on all the cars. I would be happy if they do something about the bumper quality and also the reverse light. The car has its due share of drawbacks. But we have to respect the price of this car and also that it comes from Toyota. Toyota offers unparalleled service quality and hence opting for Etios in the midcompact segment can be treated as a wise move.
Areas of improvement
a) Bumper Quality should be improved, b) Single Reverse light should be changed to dual. c) Noise Insulation should be improved.

Exterior The exterior look is very good compared to its competiters like Dzire and manza. Side view is best thing to enjoy. While designing it looks that lot of effort has been gone to get best aerodynamic shape for better performance. This can be observed during light rain, in the front wind shield, without wiper on, the streak of rain waters pushed upwards which generally happens for more aerodynamically stream lined bodies.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Once you step in, you can realize the space for head and leg it can give you, it is awesome. The back seat can comfortably carry three adults for long journey and even four for short trip. Driver seat gives very comfort during driving. I go for long driving generally 400 to 500 Km at one stretch. But I never felt fatigue or tired.Plastic quality is fine but look needs improvement. The head lamb adjustment and front engine cabin opening lever are very bad needs immediate attention. Audio system is good but it can not be felt like it is integrated one ( like Dzire &Manza).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine that is what I can tell. Very good fuel economy (23 KmPL at high ways without AC). When you start the engine few minutes you hear the light diesel clatter, but once engine warms up it is silent like Dzire engine. Vibrations are well controlled and I never felt any vibrations any where inside the cabin. In highways, in the speed of 90-110 Km/Hr you cannot say you driving a diesel engine, the engine is really dead silent and you can really enjoy the ride. The gear box is very precise and easy to use( but not so easy like my earlier ZEN). Clutch also little harder than my earlier ZEN, but for diesel engines, it is necessary to have heavier clutch for higher torque handling.
Ride Quality & Handling Braking is very confident and sharp may be because of ABS. Ride quality is very good especially in the city, this because of the engine tunned towards the high torque at lower rpm and also light weight of the car. Stearing is very accurate and very easy to use. The flat peak torque curve at 1800-2400 RPM really makes city ride enjoyable. The fifth gear having high ratio makes highway ride comfort and silent. Since engine need not accelerated to high rpm.
Final Words It is a good family sedan. There are some draw backs like poor interior look ( not for me, I like interior look). There is absolutely no water leakages even during heavy rain. When I was trying to buy I was totally misguided by some people in the Internet about this car. After detail research and exploration I came to conclusion that it is a very good car with good fundamentals like engine, gear box, braking system, more interior and boot space and quality. Before buying I went for test driving of Manza, Dzire and Ford Fiesta classic.
Areas of improvement Toyota Please put little attention towards interior look, you can really inter change the sales numbers with maruti.

Love the looks. Really sleek and high end. paint job is great.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Other than poor lateral stability for rear passengers it is very comfortable. Probably the only car that seats 3 adults comfortably with lots of legroom even for the middle passenger.
They have cut some corners, for eg. even the VX-D which is the highest model has manually adjustable side view mirrors. The speedometer and rpm meter are refreshingly new. The digital gauge is a joke if you compare it to the VW Vento or Tata Manza.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The engine is as smooth as a diesel can get, fuel economy is at 16km/l after having driven 600km. Hoping it willl hit the 20's soon....
Ride Quality & Handling
On really smooth tar roads it is a woderful vehicle to drive. On concrete especially rough roads it is a nightmare a all the bumps get transferred.

If I can see the mileage going into the 20's and the front shock absorbers improving the it is a lovely car...
Areas of improvement
Front shock absorbers just have to be improved or changed, they transfer every bump straight to you. Gear shift could be smoother.
Looks, space-3 adults on the back seat comfortably, boot is enormous. Getting 16km/l driven 600kmWorst are the front shock absorbers, makes a thud sound over all speed breakers.

Well, I have gone for the test drive of Toyota Etios at Galaxy Toyota located at Shailimar Bagh Delhi.
Few observations are there: 1. An inferior interior, plastic quality is really poor. 2. Speedometer etc. are located in the center and is also looks quite cheaper. 3. An absurd noise while opening the bonnet. 4. Boot is almost the same i.e. of logan, not attractive. 5. Non proportional Power weight ratio i.e. 1500 cc Vs 915-930 kg, powerful engine may shatter other parts in the long run. 6. No integrated music system, antenna, tachometer and fog lights in ‘G’ model 7. No power steering in the base model. 8. Narrow service network with high cost spares and maintenance and the last but not the least. 9. No CNG option if want to install legally.
Positives: 1. Huge leg space for the rear passenger. 2. Huge boot space. 3. Lower centre of gravity leading to more stability while driving. 4. Comfortable sitting posture while driving and the tilt steering made it more comfortable.
The car in which I took the test drive (VX) was totally shaken, even the plastic made exterior window parts were worn out.
No doubt Toyota made an excellent effort in making their mark in Indian middle class but the overall quality is really compromised. I agree that at such a price one cannot expect a Ferrari but had Toyota would have confined the engine CC @1200-1300 and had invested the saved cost in enhancing the overall quality of the vehicle, Etios would have a more competitive vehicle in the Indian car market and also the 1200-1300 CC engine would have given them more fuel efficiency to the car. 1500 CC engine in 915-930 kg vehicle is not required.
The price in which Toyota is offering this car is ok but if compared with other cars of same segment then many other good options are available.
Final decision: I would have preferred to buy Swift Dzire which is a time tested, more reliable and sturdy car from Maruti with good service network, easily maintained with an availability of diesel/ CNG option also.

Exterior very good exteriors. Give a big look for the vehicle. Proportionate design over all. High end models with 15 inch alloy wheel is attractive. Door mouldings and Side skirt are giving a better look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Build quality is very bad. Can't see such a worst qualiyt plastic part in recent automobiles. Inteior build qualiyt / plastic part quality are resembling Nano. Side trims are very badly fixed on the doors. Lots of gaps and poor joinery between Black & Grey colour plastic parts really makes me feel sorry for Toyota's well known quality stamp.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Enjoyed driving the vehicle. Heard that 15kmpl in City is very good for Petrol. As I did only test drive, not much points from myside on Performance.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent. I enjoyed the vehicle. It responses to my driving to my fullest expectations in all aspects. I handled the vehicle like a toy. Its amazing while driving the vehicle.
Final Words Toyota to seriously work on improving the Interiors. I will defenitely buy this vheicle, if Toyota improves the interior design /build quality with good quality of plastic parts.

Exterior Exterior is good, Looks like a really big car, But the could it make better had the shape was more aerodinamic.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors let me down. The dash is pathetic, plastic is third quality, Glove box is like a big box which was used by my grand mother to store rice and provisions (in my village).
Seats are not comfortable, materials bad, feel like sitting on an autorikshaw's seat. Have to spend substantial money on a seat cover with extra cushions!.
Rear visibility in reverse gear is very low.
Steel sheets used for body and doors are of low gauge so that it feels like even resting your elbows on the car may cause a dent.
Have to get additional light while taking reverse in the night. (what is the savings in having only one small light?).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine gives enough power in city as well as in terrains, can drive in 4th gear while in 20 kmph in the city traffic, Gear shifitng is smooth, Power steering is excellent, Got only 10.2 kmpl till now (1500 kms), mostly in city. Not so fantasic!
Ride Quality & Handling Feel like losing control when driving above 90 kmph due to low weight. Especially in terrains and ghat roads, feels the road grip is very low.
Final Words Toyota failed to understand the mindset of the average indian middle class. They might have influenced by some survey by 'white collar' MBA's sitting in air conditioned rooms. We expected more from Toyota. For that we were ready to spend more. Toyota compromised on several counts for the sake of lower price, sacrificing the brand value of 'Toyota'!
Areas of improvement Interior definitley needs a lot of improvement. Body can be imporved.

Exterior Excellent highway rider as well as city riding. Design make to reduce to air friction, hence you never knew that even you are driving at 100+ KPMH.. May be of cost cutting or not, single wiper give different appeareance to ETIOS.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Hats off to TOYOTA, they provided almost every need in a car including AIR bags, that sounds impressive. that means you don't have to invest even a single penny once you brought from show room. Impressive music system, but pitty about inbult four speakers at front!! Sports model front two seating. You got a huge boot space, two people can sleep over there if AC is thrown :-) lol. Spaceous three passengers at back side. Comfort in seating is poor, definetly you got to change back seating. otherwise you will not fell that you are in 8Lks car! I am not impressed by interirors, reason I would say I don't know. lol. Because they don't look as great as master piece of TOYOTA.They have taken off rubber strip at all four doors for all versions. Due to this it makes little noise, but ...hmmm OK. Very bad looking dash board, i didn't exepected this baby from TOYOTA. how ever you got to habituate with spedometer placed at middle. carpets are really not good enough, but can manage.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Due to less weight, it has massive pick up like Dhoomachale!!! that was awesome. Onhigh way with five passengers and AC at 4 points, mileage would come around 12Km. Gearbox good enough. When you open bonet, you will see lot of hallow space around engine. It is not covered by any thing, that means ground is clearly visible. I am afraid that what would happens on India roads when it will rains heavily.
Ride Quality & Handling Awesome stearing, it has got inbult music control in steering as well. Great expericence when you drive IN/OUT side city. very good handling even when you drive in narrow streets. Big applause to TOYOTA.
Final Words I preffered this car and I own it Since my requirements matches all the way. I would suggest to buy this CAR becuase it has got everything that needed in a car.
Areas of improvement Seating comfort, dash board. reduce the sound at door closing. Reduce the engine sounds, however you will not feel any vibrations. For me it would be great enough if it increases it mileage.

Exterior Person like me would be intrested in the performance of the car than the looks, so its individual choice.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) If the car is comfortable for the driver and the passenger that is what i would go for my wife liked the inner space very spacious. the thing which is of some concern is i myself being 5ft11'' steering was hiting my legs while pressing the clutch even with the steering coloum raised.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine noise is transfered into the passenger cabin i was told by the sales person that it is a delebrate attempt of the company to give it a sport car effect but i refuse to buy that story starter sound is very loud sounds like a low quality starter of some diesel rikshaw needs justified clarification for the same from the experts should not be a issue if it is reliable and cheap, gear shift is smooth no idea about fuel economy.

Final Words If toyota stands to its name with respect to reliability then I would say that this car is for the middle class people with practical usage it is a value for money product.
Areas of improvement Power steering rear defogger should have been a standard equipment for all cars try to prevent the engine noise into getting into the passenger cabin.
