      Exterior Car looks much better than it's rivals in the class (Dzire, Manza etc). Nice front grill. Paint job is terrific.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A plain simple dashboard but practical. I have fitted a 2-Din music system and dashboard looks have completely changed. Has escellent cabin and boot space.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is brilliant as one can drive at 45 kmph with ac on in 5th gear with no problem. Engine never seems to knock even if one is driving in higher gear.

      There is some engine noise that creeps in the cabin but it's not bad either. After driving for around 2000 kms, noise level seems to have come down a bit.

      FE is amazing, i checked tank full to tank full. 18 kmpl, can't ask for more

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride is a bit stiffer but this makes for very good handling. Steering is very light and responsive.

      Final Words An excellent car at this price point. I have test driven others also before purchasing it but nothing seems to match Etios's performance. I have owned cars from Hyundai, Tata and Maruti also but this one seems to be the best of the lot.

      Exterior Is good looking car with simplicity, still this car can campairable with Honda city & vento which is costing 2.5 Lac more than Etios.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space  in like tata Manza, & comfort is one of the best!!! Rear seat shoulder support is very nice with flat floor. Lot of Storage Space available which you can not find in other cars. like 7 Bottle holders (1Liter) ,13 Liter Cooled Glove box Etc. Boot space is Very Large to carry your all luggege.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent engine performance, can pull in 3rd gear at aspeed of 20kmph, fuel economy is close to 18KMPL on highway, in city apprx. 13.5KMPL.

      Power steering is very light with low turning raduis.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good, Pick up is very good, Handling on turns is very good.

       

      Final Words Toyota's affordable car for comman man!!!  You can enjoy this car in traffic as well as On Highway!!! this will be Great Hit for toyota!!!

      Exterior Exterior Looks good but in it very not attracting much. nothing like new.


      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Top model has REd and Black combination which looks good.


      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Something extra was expected from Toyota.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling As aspected from toyota but Electric assisted steering available only in TOP model. That mean no assistnce at Rs.6.5Lac. This is not acceptable.

       

      Final Words PS@RPM is 90/5500 (too low) for Dzire and manza it is 90@6000 not impresive considering manza and dzire as 1248cc and Etios as 1500cc engine, surely manza and dzire will give better milage with almost same power.

      Wats good in this Engine? something wrong. surely not enough work done on engine.

       

      Areas of improvement Top models of manza Tata Indigo Manza Aura (ABS) Quadrajet BS-IV diesel and Etios petrol has diffrence of just Rs.10,000/- .only so think about this petrol segment.without power staring.paying 6 lac rupee may open more option for me in market.

      Final Words I never thought Toyota will launch this kind of product in the market! I want to know whether they have did test drive or not  the engine is so noisy, when I switched on the AC, the fan sound gives humming noise, and pick up also worst, if I go more than 40km speed Rings sound is coming from the engine. If there is any one from Toyota who is reading this review  Indians like to have more for less price, that does not mean that they will compromise on build quality, looks, comfort and value for money. I am not sure if you guys had spend some time understanding Indian culture before building this cheep quality stuff and poor engine performance.

      In my family all of us having only Toyota vehicles, it is a great disappointment to buy this vehicle. This is the First Diesel vehicle I have taken in Chennai.

      Exterior Exterior is ok, I planned to buy a sedan and in this price range I had nothing much to do with looks, so this is not my area of concern. BUT The build quality is cheapest in the world, its cheaper than NANO. If you want you can just experiment with this. Just try to hit with your soft hand on car body, the body will be damaged. What the pathetic product , dont take my words you go and check it , you will come to know the cheap body.

      CHEAP BODY

      I am writing this review for all the new customers so that, they wont get cheated from Toyota with this crap. I took the test drive for this car and didnt feel all these things. That was my biggest mistake. But you should not repeat the same mistake which I have done. You can come to my place for test drive , i will show you the crap ETIOS, in which every time when i ride i feel embarrassed , i feel cheated , i feel exhausted, stressed. So now I dont ride it after spending my 7.5 lakh hard earned money.

      You will say why i haven't done my research before buying it, yes i did, half of reviews says its great product, some of them says this is cheap, and because this is my first car so i didnt get things properly. Now after driving it for 1500Km, i am writing this review for you all.

      If you are going for test drive, will you punch the car for testing, NO, so i also didnt. The demo car which i have driven was smooth, because it was meant for TEST DRIVE , but the product delivered to me is original piece of crap.

      NO WEATHER GASKET (so dirty, all four doors), No weather gasket for all doors, so even if you clean the body the dirt will be there inside all doors. SINGLE WIPER(leaves windshield uncleaned)

      Single wiper is ok but it will leave 4-5 inch portion uncleaned so it will leave the uncleaned spot , which looks so embarrassing.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The car is spacious, no doubt. seat quality is bad. Space is ok, or I can say good, its the only good thing about this sedan. Comfort, yes it is comfortable. Rear seats doesnt have much thigh support, so rear passengers will feel uncomfortable after long driving.

      BAD REAR WINDOW: The rear window will not fully go down, it stucks in half way, god knows why the hell they have given this superb feature, if rear passenger wants to open the window he can open it half way only, inconvenient and uncomfortable.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Its hard to change the gear. You have to put extra effort to change the gears. Fuel economy is Ok, 12 KMPL in city condition without AC(Sometimes AC is on), Now comes Engine performance.

      WORST EVER SEEN PETROL ENGINE, NOISY ENGINE(like tractor): It makes noise, loud noise , like tractor. Engineers fixed it two times but again it started.

      Dont take my word, go for reviews or come to my residence, i will show you. Dont go for demo car which they will give you for test drive. The effect of this, yu will feel exhausted and stressed after only 5 Km of drive.

      ROAD NOISE: They have not properly insulated car body , so lot of road noise will come inside cabin. That will make you deaf.

      VIBRATION (can cause severe disease), You just keep single lass of water on the roof of car and start the engine, it will fell down. Again don't take my words, just experiment by yourself.

      AUTOMATIC ACCELARATION: When you are not moving you car or if you are in neutral gear, the engine suddenly makes big noise and accelerates automatically. It goes down suddenly in 20-30 seconds. Its very dangerous. The RPM suddenly increases , in idling speed also.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality if you think includes all above mentioned point, then it s worst.

      Final Words Whoever is saying this car is value for money, I will tell them SORRY. its not VFM its the cheap crap for which i spent 7.5 lakh Rs. So for 7.5 you should at least get some good body, leave all thing behind. The engine should be good, with no or little vibration. Leave how it looks and power window and other advance things, the basic thing it should provide me is a good silent engine, good driving and good gear box . But these basic things lacks in this CRAP, so what is the meaning of buying a car.

      I feel so sorry because i bought this, this is my first car so i made a mistake, I want to say all the readers, just dont go for anybody's word or review , neither mine nor anybody else. You test it  by yourself , for  all above mentioned points. If you want I will give you my car for driving , its a brand new ETIOS just driven 1500 KM. I also had my vehicles first servicing done.

      Toyota company should understand , they cant cheat customers , they can make 10-20 people fool but at the end everybody will come to know about their gimmick and avoid any crap/cheap product which they will sell under good brand name.

      I am optimistic,  I made a mistake, now waiting for the day when i will sell this and go for some good car. But till then i have to suffer everyday with this crap. I should be a happy customer after spending 7.5 lakh Rs, but today it hurts me a lot , why I have wasted my hard earned money on this crap.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) 5 passengers comfortable seating arrangements taking into consideration of long drives, the legroom of a sedan, the wheel base of 2550 mm for excellent stability and safety, the psycological approach to Airvents providing AC, less than 10 degree cool glove box for indians ,mostly driving in summer, Flat rear floor with excellent knee comfort ,shoulder comfort ,headroom optimum best,595 free spaced boot, blue ambience with centrally located meters assuring more safe driving control, accessories affordable at indian price with toyota quality, 36 accesories for desires fulfilment, the new steering wheel design with comfortable and sport handling, 7 cup holders for 5 passengers, the toyota standard seat with integrated headrest with totally new approach,the noiceless ambience inside that of a premium sedan, the driver area floor mat with clips for better safety, the latest Etios Zone at each dealership to appreciate all that best visually ,the self design making accesories fitment system of induviduals choice, shows that Toyota is one class above.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth transistion with low and mid range torque , easy to manuover in city's bumber to bumber drive even at lowest speed without lag, the availability of 132PS @ 3000 RPM, 90PS@5600 RPM,of this india's first world's first etios engine sounds more interesting at this affordable price,the best warranty of 3 years or lakh kilometer,almost the optimum best in industry, the functions of cyliner head exhaust manifest for warming the engine, the resin developed intake for free flow of air for execellent breathing are the best of ETIOS to be proved during test drives.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling The McPhereson strut in front and Torson beam suspension in the rear really contribute the best for ride comfort known to car lovers, the best suitable for all indian roads,as claimed by toyota this premium version available for indians at their affordable best, the power steering effect at corners and slopes with turning radius of 4.9, make us feel that Toyota's claim for a Quality Ride of good worth. More so, almost 101 improvement points are taken care as per Chief engineer NoriTake with Etios, may not go wrong we believe.

       

      Final Words This Etios is going to be car for all need to upgrade to better sedan with Toyota association at this mid range price affordable to many indians to enjoy better ride comfort, travelling comfort and suitable for long term post purchase maintenance , thing toyota is known for in india from the days of Qualis.Infact i am very happy about the care taken to explain the vehicle with human touch by the sales team of dobro toyota, hyderabad who made me to write my review being enjoyed the full attention of sales team with whom i took almost 2 hours with various questions to help all others belonging to my society status, who are keen on value for money on each thing we buy. Thanks to Dobro toyota dealership for their best cooperation to educate me with ETIOS.

       

      Areas of improvement Disappointment on the non provision of vehicle for feel & touch once launched though compensated by the E-broacher toyota standard expalnation by sales officers when i visited the ETIOS ZONE being a middle class upgarding buyer , believes ever car is best of its own.   They should be more clear in delivery schedules ,may be the dealerships may not able to commit right now in this regard.   One thing i dont like is the rear tail lamp design which could be improved and instead if they come with some more commonly available extra features ,at this price, currently avilable with other car manufacturers in this touch competition. This is what my experience when approached for ETIOS ZONE and love to receive your valuable comments.

      I sincerely believe that Etios will not disappoint further on its value ,once we experience test drive.The rating given is based on the mental satisfaction i have received when visited ETIOS ZONE.Always hoping for the best for my society.

      Exterior Supperb from all direction, front grill looks dasshing. hondacity like looks..some person reviewed about the looks from the back is like LOGAN BUT IT LOOKS TOTALLY DIFFRENT IF U ACTUALLY SEE IT CAREFULLY.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Wonderful in economy, and racing car like power it generates, gears r smooth and feels like butter when u actually drive it, it thing to experience cant be described in words.

      Ride Quality & Handling Superb ride quality, wonderful handling even without a.b.s. and also very handy in squed corners too.

      Final Words Worth buying if u r planning to buy any car up to price of 1000000, it s the cheaper and smart choice. full marks to toyota, and main thing is you dont need to buy top end model to get the advantage of the cool features. just buy GD model and it gives u all the features you require.

      Exterior Exterior is very good.  Looks are very attractive.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior are not matching with brand name 'TOYOTA'  Seats are thin and looks very bad.  More worst is the combined head-rest.  Q-Class of the seats have been ignored.  Head Rest should be separate abd breadth/size of the seats should be as in other sedan cars. Speedometer is in the centre.  Indians are not used to this type of speedometer.  This feature may dent re-sale value of the car. Paper sheet pasted inside the Car and in the luggage box is of very inferior quality. In totality there is nothing like Q-Class in interiors of the Car.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine perofrmance is good. Driveability of the Car is very good. Shock absorver are just satisfactory. Gearbok is Very good. Fuel Economy claimed by the Co. is 17.6 but could not be tested.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Very Goot, Very Good.

       

      Final Words THE TOYOTA COMPANY SHOULD MATCH THE INTERIORS OF ETIOS WITH ITS 'ALTIS-COROLLA'. WITH THE IMPROVED INTERIORS, THE 'ETIOS' CAN GIVE A BIG DENT TO OTHER CARS IN THIS SEGMENT.  IT CAN EVEN GIVE A BIG JOLT TO HONDA-CITY. EARNESTLY THE TOYOTA SHOULD RE-VISIT INTERIORS OF 'ETIOS' THE COMPANY SHOULD SPEND A LITTLE LESS ON ADVERTISEMENT AND LITTLE MORE ON INTERIORS.

      1)Except the smiling grille nothing much to say. Very average. 

      2)No rear wipers. Difficult for first time users.

      3) Single front wiper.Many adverse comments.I find it just serves the purpose. Driver vision clear. OK.Mangeable.

      1) Ample rear leg space even after fully reclining the front seats.

      2)13 litres Glove box with cooling option.

      3)595 litres Boot space - Highest in sedan category.Two can sleep comfortably.

      4)ORVM - Manual adjustement. Slightly feeling uncomfortable

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      1)1499 CC Power packed Engine.No other manufacturer offers so much power at this cost.

      2)Peak torque 132 NM.Out of this 110 NM (85%) we get at 2500/3000 RPM which will be the normal ride speed.So much power for normal driving.

      3)High power engine with low kerb weight of 930 Kg.Better fuel economy but will there be vibration?Test drive at 120 KM/Hr. proved no feel of vibration even at steering wheel.

      4) Low weight. Is it cost cutting by reducing sheet thickness? No Toyota has taken care with impact absorbing body and crash test.

      Final Words

       1) All other manufacture's charge 1 lakh more for ABS with EBD,SRS Air bag,Seat belt warning,Door warning etc.,But from G to G SP at 50,000 etc., you get all these safety features.

      2)If you give least priority for aesthetics,moderate priority for comfort,high priority for performance and safety and runs less than 10000 Km/year worth going for it having your eyes closed.

      3) Recommended strongly for family but not for car freaks who looks for comfort and fancy.

      4) As on date no comparable cars with so much of power,fuel efficiency and safety at this cost.

      Areas of improvement  

      1)Rear wiper a must for accident free driving. Toyoto should see it in safety angle

      2)Reverse back up light on RHS only.OK as per legal requirement.But people askes whether other side bulb fused?

      3) Driver seat - No height adjustment.

      4)J variant - No power steering. Hope no takers. Better take it off.

      5) Spare key. No remote. Is it cost cutting?

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Average.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Little high noise,21 km. smooth.

      Ride Quality & Handling Verymuch satisfied than swift and dezire.

      Final Words Single wiper is very usefulI have already enjoyed 1180 Kms ride of ethios diesel  . It's performance is excellent with lot of comfort . I have driven this car  to ernakulam to wynadu  / kerala . The fuel economy with 4 adults + 2 Kids on both the trips was more than 21 + Kms with AC. In city conditions like ernakulam with lot of congestion , the average is 19 + Km
      I would rather term comfort of this car as better than  costing 10 - 12 lacs as its seats are broad & front + rear leg space is good. my brother in law being  5'11" height have enjoyed its driving without having trouble with legs. Engine noise is negligible. Even at the speed of 140 Km (on highway to trichur ) , the car performance/ride is very smooth due to excellent design by japan & indian  engineers ( toyotta ) as ethios has very well taken care of center of gravity of the car. Interriors are average good & dashboard with cool box is  remarkable. Undoubtly excellent car by toyotta. I am thankful to all the readers of this review and their respective comments, leaving apart few ones which are not healthy ones.

      Areas of improvement Size of the tyre / bridgestone is better / but i got goodyear.
