Exterior
The sharke face look from side is just to dye for, solid build quality, the door has a thump which is in itslef a unique thump which you may not observe in any other car, must appriciate tata for the build quality. Some areas where lacking of fits and finish like the headlight area where there is a gap between sides bumper, the plastic used on the C pillar and the windsheild washer nozzle seems loose.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Once you enter the car and you feel so amazed with interior the way the dashboard has been set and the hexagonal design language you observe all over like the music system the speaker cut outs, as i have purchased top model, have all the amenities like the dual airbags, steering mounted controls, cool glove box, parking sensor etc. Music syestem by Harman is the top knotch that TATA has provided with 8 speakers you cant miss the beat, its an party mobile.., Comfort we compare to Swift, Beat,Celario is abiove class even the upholstry which they persued is top quality, driven car around 500+ km in a week and every time stepping in was a plessure feels premium. A whole lot of comfort for driver, immese plessure who drives as every minutes things have been kept in mind considering ease who drives, just a miss of engine start/stop button would have been added glory to its charm. Also the utility spaces 22 utility spaces is just a grab. like the ticket holder on the windsheild who has come up with the idea, wow.....Boot space is superb with having hook for grocery bag so nothing comes out of it...excellent.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine used in petrol is Revetron 1199 cc engine of about 83/BHP @ 6000 RPM on paper it seems powerfull, but as its an 3 cylinder engine comparing to swift we feel a power lag at 1st & 2nd gear, but as soon as you pace up for 40 km you get a boost in torque. Engine a bit shaky at initial and also bit noisy but all covers up with the beautifully build cabin and Harman music system, you never get any hitch of engine sound. Well facing a problem of engine heating and when clutch used on regular interval such as in traffic a burining smell like of a wire have been observed and also a lack of power after that,Have registered the issue with TATA dealer and they called the car for check up. Gearbox is beautifully build even the cluth is just at the right placement not even too hard or too soft. Fuel economy is less as may be the car will get open after 1st/2nd service at th moment getting 13-14 km in city, may be this due to the engine heating and lacking of power on excessive use of clutch. Also on hilly areas like we live in Himachla power lag is more every time we need to shift the gear on 1st or 2nd, refinments needed!
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride Quality and Handling TATA has worked hard and the result are astonishing. Since I have TOP MODEL so fitted with CSC,ABS,EBD so safety point is no concerns, handling observed a lilttle body roll on corners but that is negligible as CSC works totally fine and gives you that confidence to overtake on corners too.
Final Words
Valvue for every single penny i have invested on this car, never thought a TATA car can be this high quality, from every situation its an win win car, Well TATA service is need to be learned, but looking at the step which TATA is moving definetly in near future will gain heights, Tiago is the best hatch in the Market and also a lacs cheaper than Grand i10. if we leave some cues of engine issues which is revocable truely this car is Made of Great........Its Fantastico....GUYS....Must go for one.
Areas of improvement
As only done test drive of petrol and purchased petrol Tiago, so for Petrol need refinments and tune up of engine for better performance.
