Exterior Good Exterior Look & Road Presence.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Low quality, Interiors fitting not done properly, Need to apply greece for every 4 to 5 months, Very Good Space and comfort, #rd row is not designed for Adults. This is actually 5 seater car. Silent Cabin.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good Engine, Good Mileage more than 10Kmpl in city(Hyderabad), Highway 13 Kmpl verified twice at 100 KMPH and 11.5 at 120 - 140 KMPH. 2nd and 3rd Gear are Hard, Good PickUp.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good upto 110KMPH, at 140 KMPH the body feels light need to drive with 7 seats occupied, Good Handling in high Ways and tough to park in shopping mall parkings due to huge turning radius, Good Road Visibility so easy driving in City traffic, Good Breaks.
Final Words Best To have if you could compramise of interior Quality. Good Highway and off roading Vehicle. For City this is not the Best. Little costly to maintain compred to its competetors like Scorpio, Innoava.
Areas of improvement Interior Quality and Fittings, Design Confortable 3rd row seating, Electrical System.

Exterior I would Rate it 10 of 10 Exellent Finishing.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) There is a WOW Factor in the Vehical the Finishing has Imporeved, Do not Feel Like a TATA Vehical , Very Minor Delay in Stearing Response Compared to Aria.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent Engine Performance, Getting a Milage of 12.00 Gear box is bit hard I will not blame the Manufacturer for that.

Final Words I was Confused before buying this Car I had 2 Other Options Scorpio & Duster.
Dustuer Has a Problem with the Torqe you do not feel Like a SUV when u drive it feels more like a WagonR there was no WOW when u dirve it. the Scorpio was having less Interior Space ,Poor Finishing , and lot of Engine Sound. With Safari the Interior and Features are Amazing 200% Value for money. even the Engine Performance Is FAR FAR Batter then Scorpio. when I had a First Drive of the Vehical I Said "BAAP BAAP HOTA HAI - BETA BETA HOTA HAI " VEry Very Happy with the Performace.
DO NOT GER CONFUSED - SAFARI IS THE CORRECT OPTION.

Reclaim your life - the catch phrase with which TATA is selling their premium product the Safari is so true to its words. If its adventure that you crave about, then this is the car for you. A well built SUV for half the price of competition's products, something which can tread anywhere on the planet and something which can transform you from an executive to Rambo on steroids.
The Safari has got great roomy interiors and comes with a monstrosity of an engine. The 2.2 DICOR is a beast and when the power is put on all 4 wheels, it can literally climb every mountain. If only the TATAs could forget facelifting their taxi king Indica and updated the looks of this beast. The styling still sticks to the original desgin of late nineties. But still it can give its competition a run for its money.
Next time you decide to unwind from work, fire your Safari and go to the wild to reclaim your life.

VTT Engine which gives 140 hp (138?) but more importantly 320NM (aprx 225 lb-ft of torque). This makes it as good as an engine as Diesels from BMW, Benz and Honda.
The Comfort is unbelievable and GREAT space is available for front and rear seats.
The rear seat passengers enjoy colossal space and comforts!! The rear AC vents both on floor and on head help quite a bit. All the 5 seats are GREAT and even your comfy Sofa wouldn’t match it. All the 5 seats (or maybe 4) are Chairs and not "Bench" as found on most SUVs. The rear ones are only for kids (jump seats).
Despite the age of 10 years, Safari looks spanking with traditional SUV appeal not found in Scorpio which comes across as an MUV. Safari gets loner car when you bring it for servicing and 24 hr roadside help and GREAT service network. Safari owners also get separate/better treatment/dedicated sales/service people.
Space Inside, Dealer Satisfaction, Fuel Consumption, Comfort:, Reliability, Looksturning circle is huge and you need to plan for U-turnsஎக்ஸ்டீரியர்/ஸ்டைல்ஸ்

I have purchaged this vechile in fer. 2008. Aftre two months I went to Vasnu Mata via Jammu. Average was 18 to 19 Km with A/C. Speed was 80Km per hrs. I have not felt any problem in overtaking to other vechile nor any discomfert. when i was rturning back from Katra to delhi near Uddhampur my was closed for few seconds and vechile was rolled in 25 ft ditch. but due to stronger built of this vechile all family members safe and again we start this vechile and reach to delhi safly without any trouble. Only demarit is that companey has used very low quality plastic in interior and bumpers. other wise this is INDIAN PAZZARO SUV. BEST IN CLASS. THANKS.

Exterior Stylish & attractive in every standard of an SUV
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Enough leg, head & shoulder room. Good ac for rear seat. Less feautures like reverse guide camera or parking sensor in EX version..
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good engine performance but in muddy roads it gets stuck as my safari is 4x2. Fuel economy is good. Gear sometime(very rarely)gets stuck when trying to engage the 1st gear. At night visibility is a bit less(I find it)with the company fitted headlights and in heavy traffic condition or in heavy rain it's difficult to drive without the clear lens fog lights on as the near visibility becomes very poor.. Also the car skids while applying the brakes suddenly even if you are in a moderate speed of 100km/hr due to the excessive body weight and with no ABS and EBD in the EX 4x2 version..
Ride Quality & Handling Very good experience of riding the vehicle and you need not pay any heed to the minor pot holes.. The car does'nt vibrate on a high speed of 150km/hr(Which i experienced).. At the same time i should tell you that the car is suited only for plains and is not suited for hills with "V-shaped" turns as the turning radius is very small.. Only if you are an experienced driver of hills with sharp turns then you can attempt it..
Final Words An excellent Indian SUV but you might have to visit the workshop quite often with minor defects like electrical or switch or wheel alignment or power window every now n then.. The customer service is very poor and not customer friendly.. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a genuine SUV with looks,high ground clearance,comfort,reasonable price and power then just go for it..

Exterior Good design, looks best among the available SUV in the given price range.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfort is very good, for both passenger & driver. Not many features, sapce is huge. Very comfortable on long rides. Very good A.C.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Robust engine, responsible throttle, good fuel economy. Gear box could be refined which I guess has been taken care in the 2.2 Safari. In my version i.e. the 3Ltr Dicor BS III LX model the gear box is grumpy.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality has always been the USp of Safari. Amazing ride quality. Takes tough roads with much of ease. Ground clearance is very good. Can go to all the places where a truck can go. Handling it in the highway is very comfortable. On congested city roads, it is a bit tiring. Parking is not ann issue if you have the reverse camera installed, which is a standard feature only in the Safari VX. Turning radius is big, which could be an issue in small bylanes of busy cities.
Final Words good choice, good if you have it as a second or third car in the family. Tata Motors should improve the service quality. Also some very common spares are not available sometimes. EG.: My brake hose had leaked, and my vehicle was at the service center for almost 7 days, because the spare hose was not available.
Areas of improvement Interiors need improvement. Service is the major area where Tata Motors should improve. If they can give good service, I am sure, we could see many more safari's on the road.
