After analysing the all competitors available in the market including Hyundai Venue, Honda WRV, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Mahindra XUV 300. I finally decided to buy Nexon XM considering following factors: 1 VALUE FOR MONEY it's most affordable petrol SUV with the XM variant including the most required feature at just 8 lakh on road which no other car manufacturer gives. 2 SAFETY it received 5 star rating in Global NCAP crash test. it have the basic safety features standard across the range including ABS ,EBD and Isofix child mount. 3 POWER AND PERFORMANCE With 1.2L turbo petrol engine producing 110 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque its the second most powerful after XUV 300, but it also comes with multidrive modes which no other car of this segment offering. 4 FEATURES the basic key features apart from safety features which are essential are 4 speaker music system by Harman with mobile integration support, electrically adjustable OVRMs , Steering mounted audio control, plenty of utility space. 5 BOOT AND REAR SEAT The wider rear seats can accommodate 3 full size adults very well and the boot with 359L of space which can be extended to 720L with rear seat folding is also one of the key facility. The ground clearance of 209 mm (unladen) is just awesome and best in class. Now we discuss some cons of this variant 1 Driver handrest could have been provided 2 Glove box illumination and boot illumination should be kept as standard 3 Window auto roll up should have been provided as standard as it's also a safety feature 4 Speed sensing auto door lock should also have been made standard. 5 The most important atleast these car manufacturers should have provided a company fitted buzzer for reversing the vehicle and lock unlock. So overall Nexon is the best petrol SUV having XM as the most value for money variant and XZ+ as the most desirable variant. The behaviour and service of Tata is good in my city and its a low maintenance car as the service is done on 15000 Kms
