Exterior
The exteriors are nice about the vehicle. They have tried to compact the things as possible as they can. They have also added left side OVRM in 2012 version.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interiors of 2012 Nano is awsome. They have introduced dual tone interiors. The new gear knob gives a pleasure to change the gears. Also the extra package of Rs. 4000/- gives you nice seat covers, rain visors, car cover and filiming of the window glasses.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Comparing to the engine quality, it is avrage. About fuel economy, I have achieve economy of 27.85 kmpl on Mumbai Pune expressway (driving at constant 70kmph). It is nice drive. Still have limitations as the vehicle is mainly designed for city drive and not highway.
Ride Quality & Handling
Riding quality is nice. Handelling is improved in 2012 version with added anti roll bar. On a steap drive, vehicle tends to move back due to rear engine.

Smooth, steady, can handle quick turns pretty well, allows sharp cuts in city and goes swiftly on highways, you dont feel much bumps in the car and just gives the same ride quality as other cars on same segment

superb car, 10/10 in all the departments and just small glitches which need to be covered up, but overall experience of it is power packed and has good chances to capture the small car segment market

Exterior Looks very very hot n sexy.different colours makes it even look more better.It can easily give a competition to Merc in terms of looks. Guys using Merc's watch out u have a competition.

Good features like stiring wheel/AC/tinted glass/rear seats/good leg room for tall people.comfortable drive for me as I am tall.Over all its a comfortable CAR for a family.

Exterior Attractive and catchy. Even though the presence on road is for last 3 years, still it is able to attract the attention of the crowd.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have the top end version i.e. LX which comes with HVAC, front power windows and fog lamps. All the controls are conveniently placed, except the power window switch. Had it been placed on the doors, would have been much better.
The car is quite spacious and comfortable on both front and rear seat. Space is enough for four adults. Lacks boot space.
It does not have power steering, but since the engine is placed on the rear end, power assist is not required.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have done around 3100 kms in last 2 months. A good responsive engine with excellent pickup. It is easily giving me 20+ kmpl in the city and 23+ kmpl on the highway with AC.
People who say the they get 14 or 15 or 16 kmpl, I feel either they are driving with their foot on the clutch paddle or they are paying for a liter of petrol and getting just 800 ml, or they are not able to calculate it.😝
Yes obviously there is a compromise with the top end performance as compared to even its nearest competitor i.e. Maruti 800, but see the size of the engine as well with just 2 cylinder, 625 cc and 38 bhp, whereas Maruti 800 has a 3 cylinder, 796cc and 40 bhp.
Still I was able to cruise it continuously between 80-90 kmph on Delhi - Agra highway, been to Agra and back.
What else does someone expect for a car with this price tag.
Ride Quality & Handling In short: VERY GOOD.
Final Words I faced minor problems with the malfunction indicator light in the beginning, but it was solved. Other thing is that I personally feel the car is not meant for first timers or those who have just learnt driving. The machine is delicate. Over all this is what I call value for money.
Areas of Improvement A little to be worked upon electricals and interior finish.

Very Responsive Engine in the segment and comfortable to drive in all kind of road. I am Getting 20KM/Ltr mileage in city and above 23KM/Ltr on High Way with Full H-VAC. Already crossed 3200KM milestone without any problem. Trouble less Gear Shifting, however, there is little vibration on Gear lever.

Just awesome creation in TATA Empire. Go and Get It if you feel the Beating of BIG HEART in Small Body. I am using this car since last three months and have covered city drive, high way drive and also village drive... it was amaizing in all kind of drivable roads and corner. Smallest Turning radias is very much helpful while Want to avoid jamed road...

I find it ok. Except the boot space I have never dislike anything about this car. My parents are in these sixties and they found it comfortable to get inside and come out of it.

Areas of improvement I bought my Tata Nano from Tayal Moters Faridabad. The car was sent for servicing on the 22 May 2012. After that i kept inquiring about the satus of my car but did not get a single response from them. On 27 May 2012 i went to the workshop and asked them about the status of my car. I was informed that the car is ready and can be collected in 30 mins at about 11 AM. however the car was not ready till 5 PM then when I again went to the service department I was told that the car would be ready shortly. The car was finally lined up for delivery at about 6 45 PM. At this stage the electrician appeared from nowhere and announced that the car cannot go since there is no battery in the car. It is presently running on some ther cars battery. the original battery of my car has been put on charging just about two hous ago. The car was handed over to me with a promise that my battery will be replaced at my residence the next day. I drove out of the workshop and to my utter horror I found that the charging function was not functional. I drove to a local mechanic who told me that the the belt of alternator was missing. The incident was informed to the manager of tayal moters, whoi have just expressed there surprise and kept silent. my experience with Tayal moters has been equally sad all the three times when the car has gone to tayal moters for service or repair.
I recommend that strict action be initiated against the defaulters.

we are having (so many cars) one nano car (TN.59.AT.XXXX) is very usefull one in a days and very thanks to you and your esteemed concern. The Same time so many customers are enquiry in the drivine time how is the car? we told that not to delay to buy the care. and i (love the care) recommend the car in my all nears.
In this regard our car give the big sound from silencer area. we went to the show room a 15 days ago. The show room (workshop) staffs told that the spares not avoilable in our show room. we will arrange and inform you and then we will serve to you.(the spare for i think gasget cost is a very minimum one)
7 days ago again we went to the show room the workshop team give same answer. Till date the spares are not avoilable in the show room and didnot serve the sevice in our car.
Till date our dream car give the big sound, all the publics are saw the car in very bad level.

I'm also a Tata Nano owner. With rising fuel prices, a good performing car with efficient fuel economy is what i needed. Tata Nano is just that package. Moreover, its one car I can navigate easily in traffic which is growing by the day.
Also its a perception that nano is a city car. I drove it on mumbai pune express highway and the journey was absolutely comfortable.
The exteriors as you see are stylish. The ground clearance is adequate for al kinds of roads. the suspension is not compromised either. Depends on what you buy, nano offers several colors. Interiors are stylish too and also comfortable.
the after sales service is obviously good, its a tata product. My dealer gives me a reminder when my service is to be done and theres a pick up drop service in case i'm not free. Tata service stations are not difficult to spot if you are going out station.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interror space is ok for rear-side passengers. Both the front seats are conjusted.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is optimum. Fuel economy is reasonable given the size of the car, its not a surprise. There are many things that are missing in the car.. It is just a replacement to two-wheeler with a roof and some AC. Doesn't offer any comfort. Also unsafe in high-ways.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is optimal. After diriving Tata Nano, if you sit in any other car, you will defientely find the difference. Steering is quite harder to handle. Driver space should have been increased at least by another 6 to 8 cm. Driver seat doesn't tilt to only 10 degrees of angle, so relaxing is a dream still. Driver seats are pretty hard.
Final Words Its an OK car to drive in city, park easily, given the hardness in steering it becomes little difficult to maneuver the car. Also the cup holders and power window options are too low and not easily accessible. You may loose concentration when you drive the car.

Driver seat doesn't tilt to only 10 degrees of angle, so relaxing is a dream still. Driver seats are pretty hard. Adding to the above, Service of Concorde motors Bangalore is terribly pathetic. They only have pretty woman to recieve, and then you will have to really die to get any kind of work done from these guys.. Slow, poorly skilled, ill-mannered, cringe and chase away customers after the sales. Poorest and most Irresponsible service.
