Exterior Sturdy. Had already experienced an accident in the total drive of 10,000 km.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent leg room. Ride quality is satisfactory. Fits 5 adults with ease. Much, more spacious than an 800.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Getting mileage of around 20 in city drive. 24-25kmpl on Highway. Can go upto 110, but not safe to drive at that speed. By the way, where are the roads to drive at that speed. Ha Ha Ha.
Ride Quality & Handling Very good. but makes wiered noise due to potholes. Brakes are adequate even on speeds of 70km.
Final Words Value for money. For those who don't go for race on the road, its the best car. They don't accept Nano overtaking them. I feel people look jealous when they see Nano competing with them as an ordinary car.
Areas of improvement Sear recliner, left OVRM, Easy reach to the boot. Air Conditioner is pathatic, it takes so long to cool, that one finishes the drive, waiting that to happen.

Exterior Very cute looking elegant body, sun shine yellow colour. Many times on road I have observed people looking very interested in the car. The most admiring are the young and small children, I was surprised one day while driving on the road when one child pointed to my Nano and was telling his parents to buy this car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious, inside the car, Quite comfortable for driver, nice leg room as I am quite tall(5 ft 11 inches). Enough space for 4 adults including driver. At the back side 3 children sit. AC is quite effective and in winter the heater keeps the interior warm.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Initial pick up is very good, Very responsive to slight pressure on the accelerator pedal, zips ahead over taking other cars on the road. Races at 40 kmph even in 2nd gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Quite good riding quality and easy to handle and beat the city traffic. East to park in crowded city roads and parking places.
Final Words After 10 months of continuous driving in Bangalore city, one day my Tata Nano front right side wheel axle and tie rod broke down while I was driving back home and I had a small head injury and nervous shock. The car had to be towed to the Body repair workshop. It cost totally RS 58, 870/ for the repair. I got Rs 40,000/ from Tata Insurance and I had spend Rs 18,000/.
Areas of improvement The wheel axles, bearings, tie rods and connecting rods may be made very strong to avoid on the road break downs.

Exterior Outside view from all angles looks great and compact, more visual appeal and cuteness comes to your mind instantly, mind gets elated on seeing the baby.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) On a test drive for about 2 Kms, I find features are normal and enough for commuting, space is quite adequate and comfort level is good and decent. The logic of asking for a comfort of a sedan at this price is simply atrocious and uncalled for. Ofcourse you can ask for any thing on earth. TATA NANO's target is not that.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I donot find any problems or encountered any issues during my drive. Ofcourse, I find the engine comes to a sudden life with slight press on the accelarator, I need to get used it.
Ride Quality & Handling Good and well behaved.
Final Words Certainly I recommend to others, as I own a Maruthi sedan for about 10 years, the focus of TATA MOTORS in marketing NANO is not to quote the price at all and instead various pros. Focus should be on owning a little cute baby to the family and elders enjoying the cuteness of a baby's arrival.
Areas of improvement If at all I need to tell one area, that is rear seat recling position and cushion comfort is priority to be improved a bit.

Exterior Stylish, quite modern... in comparison with competitors like 800, alto.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, can put some of the sedans to shame.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel peromace is quite good, gearbox could have been 5, but 4 makes it easier in city driving conditions.
Ride Quality & Handling Great ground clearance, handling in traffic easy.
Final Words The longest drive I have gone in the car is 100 kms (2 sides). Even with the air con on, the acceleration doesn’t drop much.. and the air con is quite chilling even at ‘1’.
Nano, to be honest, drives like any other car. I have driven Santro, Alto, Swift and i10. Yes, it is a lil less powerful than others but boy-o-boy, in traffic, this car can get you ahead of all other biggies, hehe ;- ). Even on highways, it runs as smooth as other cars.
Areas of improvement Tata needs to seriously do some home work over the marketing of this gem! Happy Miles with Smiles :-)

Exterior The Exteriors are fantastic...in terms of shape of the car, Various Colour Options, 2 Side Mirrors, Nice Height....
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Interiors for the 2012 model are superb...The dashboard is toned in a very nice & neat way. The seat colour is also marrying with the Body colour. The internal space is good enough, with a good headroom, legroom. I would rather compare the space with the Indica...3 people can comfortably be seated at rear. The AC is powerful too...
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine has great pick up. The overall engine performance is excellent with a fantastic mileage of above 25km/lt. Gearshifting is also easy. The overall maintainance is also low.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving this car is very comfortable in City as well as in a Long Run. It gives a good option for city riding for parking space & turning radius.
Final Words Excellent Car, people buying Maruti Alto, A-Star, WagonR, Zen Estilo, Spark, Santro, EON, I10 should think about this as a Good Option with a Very Low Investment getting almost all the features. Buying a NANO is a clever decision.

Exterior Attractive and catchy. Even though the presence on road is for last 3 years, still it is able to attract the attention of the crowd.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I have the top end version i.e. LX which comes with HVAC, front power windows and fog lamps. All the controls are conveniently placed, except the power window switch. Had it been placed on the doors, would have been much better.
The car is quite spacious and comfortable on both front and rear seat. Space is enough for four adults. Yes, lacks boot space.
It does not have power steering, but since the engine is placed on the rear, power assist is not required.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have done more than 3100 kms in last 2 months. A good responsive engine with excellent pickup. It is easily giving me 20+ kmpl in the city and 23+ kmpl on the highway with AC.
People who say the they get 14 or 15 or 16 kmpl, I feel either they are driving with their foot on the clutch paddle or they are paying for a liter of petrol and getting just 800 ml, or they are not able to calculate it.😝
Yes obviously there is a compromise with the top end performance as compared to even its nearest competitor i.e. Maruti 800, but considering the size of the engine as well with just 2 cylinder, 625 cc and 38 bhp, whereas Maruti 800 has a 3 cylinder, 796cc and 40 bhp.
Still I was able to cruise it continuously between 80-90 kmph on Delhi - Agra highway, been to Agra and back.
What else does someone expect for a car with this price tag.
Ride Quality & Handling In short: VERY GOOD.
Final Words: I faced minor problems with the malfunction indicator light in the beginning, but it was solved. Other thing is that I personally feel the car is not meant for first timers or those who have just learnt driving. The machine is delicate. Over all this is what I call value for money.
Areas of improvement A little to be worked upon electricals and interior finish.

Final Words Want to sell this car at the earliest. Only thing good about the car is its size and easy maneuverability and parking. Call Centre not very helpful when you ask for a technical expert to cross check any serious problem. They ask you to check with the dealer/ authorized service centre. TATA expert is not available at hand. Lost confidance in TATAs.
Areas of improvement This is no more an economy car. For this price you have better competitors. You will see lots of nuts and bolts lying around the car. Poor quality of switches. Already changed Switches for A/c and Head light once within 2 years. Frequent problems with the central locking. Makes a screeching noise on startup from cold.Door panels fall down frequently. Poor milage. Get around 12 KM /l.

Exterior Beautifully styled, Good paint quality. The car gives great feeling once you are into it. The extra height gives a feeling of mini SUV. Good visibility during driving
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The space inside unthinkable unless you are in the car. It does not give the feeling of small car one you are inside. I have a sedan costing 12L but even that is no match in space when 5 people are in the car. Yes, luggage space is an issue if you are moving with 5 passengers but that difficulty is rarely face since we have always one or two (if not the entire rear seat) free most of the time. Air conditioning is amazing comapred to the small engine the car has. The roof height is great.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good for the given size. This should be comapred with the greatest engines on the road. I believe the car was designed and built with an objective and it has met them. I have been using the car since 2010 and done 18000 KM. I have also used on high way drives number of time driving 300 Km at stretch both with and without AC. The fuel economy without AC is around 22KM and with AC is around 19KM (70-80KmpH). Gear box sometime becomes hard (bur better than my previous M800) but becomes smooth after the servicing. May be some component need replacement but not identifiable by the service people.

Final Words If you bear in mind the price and basic philosophy behind dreaming the car ( Mr. Ratan Tata was pained to see a family of 4 on a scooter in a torrentially raining evening on a Mumbai road) one should think twice before complaining, suggestions are always welcome. I do not work for the TATAs but it gives me a great feeling to think this car have been built by an Indian company.
Areas of improvement I think we should leave it to the TATA to do that. They always improve.

Final Words This car is not for a city like Bangalore. The only reason I bought this car was for mileage. I compromised on comfort and build quality for mileage but I feel I am taken for a ride. As per the dealer, we an get a mileage of 17 kmpl (if not 22 kmpl claimed by some reviewers) in Bangalore city only if we drive on a particular road AND some one from their staff drives it AND may be after 10,000 kms(initially I was told to wait till first service but that didn't work). After getting such a response I didn't even approach them for an inspection! I have given up and may soon decide to return the car back to respected Shri. Ratan Tataji.
Areas of improvement This is a city car and mileage has to be 20 kmpl atleast! 13 kmpl for 600cc no matter what the traffic on road is or who is driving is extremly bad! My 1600 cc SX4 gives 10 kmpl on the same route!.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride is smooth, I bought a Nano for my parents in March. The car has run about 500 Kms and it stopped working. The dealer took the car for repair and says that the Relay is burnt. I have been waiting for the last 1 week and they have not got the parts yet so my car is lying at the service station and no one is able to give me any info about when it will be repaired.
This is the first time in my life i have heard of a relay getting burnt and that too within 8 months and only 500 kms. The service stations tentativeness makes me more nervous.
Moreover, when i bought the car the dealer got it registered with an incomplete address. On pointing this out he blamed it on the Motor Vehicle department and refused to get it corrected. I know it is not a mistake of the Motor Vehicles because I have seen other cars in my locality with the correct address. The dealer just does nto care.
Be careful when you buy.
Areas of improvement Service and reliability should be improved.
