      Exterior PLEASING

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) FAIRLY GOOD.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox TO BE TESTED FURTHER, GIVES GOOD MILAGE, SHIFTING GEARS COULD BE GLIDINGLY SMOOTH.

      Ride Quality & Handling SEATING HEIGHT GIVES COMMANDING RIDING FEEL.

      Final Words OVERALL SEEMS MONEY'S WORTH, LIKABLE SIZE, HOWEVER, HERE IS A NOTE ON MY EXPERIENCE, My Nano having run little over 1000km, brokedown at Goa. Response thr' toll free number was prompt.
      However, the car when taken to the nearest service facility that is "Vistar Motors" the very attitude was repulsive, let alone friendly. They didn't even let the car in and had the preliminary check up or made any preliminary inquiries about the car. Just on telling that the car console was showing "CHECK ENGINE" signal,etc., the immediate reply was that the lapotop required for checking has not been there for last 2 days which has been sent for servicing and wouldn't know when it would be back (standard response to all such cases?). Shouldn't there be a substitute one for attending to EMERGENCY cases, else, what use such service stations? With the obvious attitude of turning us away, it seemed, we were advised to go to next service station relaxing on customer unfriendly inefficiency.
      Further, when this was brought to the notice of the Breakdown service provider, and now that their part of job was over(according to them), I was put thr' to the Complaints Department for lodging complaint against the indifferent dealer. Here, although the complaint was duly registered, I was to wait for upto 48 hours to get the response. However, the questions like what concrete action I could expect, and in the meanwhile, what about car's immediate problem remained unanswered.

      Areas of improvement PICKUP NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, GEAR SHIFTING CAN BE SMOOTHER, LOCKABLE COMPARTMENT NEEDED, OPTIONS FOR 12V CHARGING AND FOG LAMPS CAN BE MET.

      BREAKDOWN SERVICE should not end with dropping the car at the nearby service station, but extend to reigning in reluctant service stations to put the car back on road.

      Exterior Exterier is good at look. Aerodynamics of car is also very good (ie) a high speed 80km+  the car don't voble or shake.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior has to be improved. Glow box has to be improved. overall space of 4 person is good. Luggage space is required. Fifth door at back could have given an option for luggage.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance of engine is very good. a bit of noicy but barable. Pickup of car is also very good without AC. Gear shifting is good. Fuel economy is ecellent. I have got average 16.39 KMPLin mumbai City (15700KM)  and 20.67 KMPL in Highway(3300KM) i mostly don't us AC.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is ecellent. Coparable to Santo. Cruzing in traffic is ecellent. Brakes are also satisfactory. 

      Final Words An excellent car Build by TATA. Value for Money. a good Family car. I have driven more than 600 KM in a day and at a streach i have driven 2.30 hrs continiously without a halt. Speed I drive at highway at arount 80 + continiously. 

      Areas of improvement Luggage space and Interior.

      Exterior Good.

      Interior Confortable leg room, good interior.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good engine performance, 23 Kmpl with a/c & 25 kmpl without a/c.

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good even have good handling in rural areas.

      Final Words Such a amazing car to drive. With a mileage of 23 KM/ Litre on highway with A /c  & 25 to 26 without a/c, what else on can expect with this small wonder that to @ speed of 90 km/ hour.

      In city, driving Nano is fantastic. Turning radius is very less & pick up is good for the car with 635 cc engine.( better than 800 cc engines).

      Even when I overtake vehicles on highway at this speed people miraculously look for this small wonder. Bought in the month of Sept 2012, I have driven this vehicle for around 2600 Kms with zero issues.

      With the three years warranty or 60,000 Kms, this is a good package at low cost. Even took feed back from vehicle owners who have driven this vehicle for around 150000 KM without any apprehension. Leg room is good; dickey space is behind rear seat which is able to manage Luggage.

      First service after 1200 kms & second & third after 10000 & 20000 KM. This helps low operating cost.Any intelligent Indian would buy this car at such a great value for money.

      Once again I appreciate Mr. Tata’s efforts to provideIndiaa small miracle.

      Yesterday I have completed 5000 km of my nano car. It's time to write about the car so that someone get advantage like me. 

      I am very much satisfied with this car. It has very good leg space and head space at both the seats. overall I am getting a fuel economy of 20 km/l in the city driving condition at Delhi. The car is very noisy from outside but believe me it is quite silent inside. So there is no any issue of noise. In 2 person ride you will get very good acceleration. more than this you will feel some shortage of power. But there is no any issue of speed on highway as I have driven up to 100km/h with 4 passenger on faridabad-gurgaon highway.Thre is no any starting problem I have encountered till yet.

      On point of suspension I am little bit disappointed. AS I am in Delhi and roads are quite good so less painful. but Tata has to do in this area.

      AC is good but again it reduce the power to the wheel and so when it is highly required, I used to run AC.

      I will write another review on completion of 20000km. but lastly I want to say there is no any disappointment on buying this car till yet.

      Exterior: The car is just superb for city driving and also on highways. The small car gets a different kind of respect when you move around in the country. A big car/SUV does not compare with the advantages a NANO gets when you are travelling.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): The space inside is amazing. For the first six months it was difficult to comprehend getting out of the car and looking at it. From the outside its so small and tiny, yet the space inside overwhelms you. I haven't seen a car where the co-passenger can straighten their knees in sitting position, or a tall person have such a good head room!

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: I usually drive 10 kms/day and that too in busy part of the city, thus my mileage is around 15kmpl. It does shoot up to 20-21 on highways. The performance on hills were outstanding, with great cornering, climbing and overtaking capabilities. The only issue i faced sometimes was the blindspot windscreen generates with the right pillar. Go to any town in the Himalayas and you would be welcomed as their own, which no other car can match.

      Ride Quality & Handling: The shortness in length is sometimes highlighted when going over a large hurdle. I mean the rocking of the car from front to back. Over a large bump once feels all over rocking, other wise it does an excellent job on road bumps and rough terrain. I have often taken it to places one only thinks is fit for an SUV. Well actuallyt its an LUV (Little Utiliy Vehicle ;) ...) Handling in city is superb, either in overtaking, cornering or just parking.

      Final Words: Be Indian, buy Indian and what better car than a Nano. A revolutionary design, performance and truly an achievement by the whole team at TATA.

      Exterior Stunning exterior, beautiful colors and accessories.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) More facilities compared to the cars arrount 3 Lakhs 😎, good space, not bad in comfort but also not verry good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engines performance is excellent when ac is switched-off.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good in its class if compared to price,good handling & good ride qualitiy ride.

      Final Words Good car but very poor service😕, if engine will be improved, the performance will be excellent in all conditions, I have driven more thean 17,000 KM. my latest ride was GOA to SOLAPUR the car coverd the distance of about 450 to 600 km in less than 12hrs including hilly region more than 50 km, the car can run over 1000 km pr day without stopping, I dont know why people blame the car without having any knowladge, when i got the delivery of my nana some people told me that 1 nano stoped running after 15 km because the over heating of the engine & the most funny thing was he told that the driver had opend the front bonet soo that the engine would cool down. I laughed too much cauz the engine is placed at the back side. soo please first use the car and tten share your experiance.

      Areas of improvement Engine must be increased, the size of triangle shaped glass besides the dashboard in the front corners must be reduced, breadth of seats must be increased and seats should be made more comfortable,dashboard sholub a bit attractive.

      Hello friends,

      I don't believe on the internet reviews about a product. But my tata nano makes me write down some words about it.

      Exterior

       Most of the people hate nano's exterior. But, for me, I never worried about the exterior look and I really want a car to protect my family from dust & rain. Although it is like a toy car, its looks is good enough to me.

      It comes with tubeless tyres which is good in city.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       I should say much about nano's interior. I never have this much space & comfort in this segment cars. Hope, It has lots of space in it. If you are taller or if you want to drive with elder people, nano is the best option than any other car under 5 lacks.

      I picked nano awesome dazzle blue color LX model. It only comes with black interior which gives a rich feel. The AC is really awesome. You can carry two luggage bags beyond the back seat.

      I drove many cars in my hometown (it's like a village), but still I have a problem in judging the car position in road. But in nano, the seating position is perfect and the road view is visible well. You can predict your car's position very well.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Obviously, you should not compare nano's performance with other cars. It has very small engine and hope, this will perform well more than you expect. I had taken my nano for a long trip. I drove nearly 1700 kms and I does not see any problem in it. It can reach maximum of 105 km/h which is more enough in city. The pickup is very good and you can not tell there is any lack in it. If you does not believe yet, just go for a test drive.

      In highways it gives nearly 23-24 km/l, while in city traffic it gives nearly 20-21 km/l. The suspension is fair. Gear shifting is very easy even though it was not so smooth. My nano does not have the power steering. The use of power steering is needed under 30km/h speed. But I dont see any problems with this responsive normal steering.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       As I said earlier, the ride quality is so good. There is no uncomfort in it. Handling is much more easier than any other car. I normally drove car in 70-80km speed. Even though other cars may overtakes me easily in traffic-less , I always win the race finally because, in traffic or in signal, I can overtake the others easily.

      Final Words

       If you really need a economical car which should not compromise all the features, just go for nano. It has superb AC, front power windows, central locking system, a very good in-built 4 speakers, bluetooth connectivity, good fuel efficiency.

      If you are a learner, and feel afraid about driving, just go for nano. Believe me, its very very easy to drive in city traffic. If you also have situation to carry old peoples, please go for nano. My mom & dad feels very comfort with this car.

      If you planned to buy it for a girl/women, buy nano twist. It has power steering which can makes it more easy to drive. Or, just wait for few months. Tata planning to fix clutchless gearbox in nano.

      Most of the people worried about nano's safety feature. Yes, you are right. The safety level is very much low. But remember, the same rule is applicable for other small size cars. If you really want to be safe, go for SUV's. Even SUV's can kill you if you have bad time. Its all depends on your driving skills. For city, Nano have enough safety.

      You may worried about the resale value of nano. Instead of thinking, just write down your plan in a paper. If you will buy other car, you should atleast spend more than 1.2 lacks than nano's top end model. If you spend this 1.2 lacks for fuel, you can run nano for years!! Let us assume you will sell the car after 4-5 years. You should calculate both cars(nano & another car that is in your list) fuel efficiency, insurance amount (tata provides 3 yrs insurance free with first year payment), maintanance (nano comes with 4 yrs warrenty), accessories price in case of any damage (nano's parts are very very cheap compared with other cars). The final amount will make to judge well. This is just from my experience.

      Areas of improvement  

       - The look. When hearing the word "Nano", everyone is saying it an auto. Even though it was not, the exterior should need some change.

      - Currently some of the colors only have black color interior. All the colors should come with an optional interior color.

      - Brake. Even the current drum brake is ok, I expect disc brake as an optional for better safety.

      - Airbags. A must optional thing needed.

      - The engine vibration is not hearable within the cabin. But it should be minimized even in the outside.

      - Smooth clutch and smooth suspension. I think nano twist comes with independent 4 wheel suspension. But I missed :(

      Final Words I travelled my nano to my native (Tanjore) from bangalore many times. To GOA, thirupathi, kerala sabari mala and etc. All long drives and very rough use. Still I like my nano to drive. Its really cute baby of mine. My parents does not know its cheap car or expensive. they just know my son bought car. They were very happy first time when I drove to native.

      Space and height.nothing inside.. people seeing this as cheap

      Every one surpiced when they are riding in my car ,they never expect such big leg room space inside the car,my self feel comfortable for driving,getting down from vehcle is very easy,parking is very easy,good turning radius blue tooth connectivity,good AC ,overall fullly satisfied .my family enjoy the ride in TATA nano.I prefer to take NANO rather VENTO diesel as it had tight clutch pedal makes my leg pain,controlling clutch is also problem in vento.Indian vehecle are desgined for Indians and indian road condtions.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As I said earlier it had good leg room space, very very comfortable driving and travelling.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ideal enginer power for city ,Fuel economy we can get any thing between 50 to 65% of their claim in city traffic  which is standard for any vehicle ..Gear box to be improved.

      Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

      Final Words Instead of bying bike ,you can buy this car for your children.

      I own TATA Nano (2012) LX model. I am driving it everyday (about 70Kms). I really love Nano. Firstly I was skeptical about Nano and did research (browse blogs, car reviews, watch videos, talk to people who own it and chase a Nano on road to observe) for about 3 months before buying it on June 2012. All my friends and relatives questioned my decision changed their ideas after I give them a ride. Now I have driven it for 3 years and clocked 51000 Kms, still I enjoy the ride just like my first day.

      Exterior

       Again I love my Nano, so much that my mobile wallpaper is always the photo of MY Nano. I do not have covered parking at home and office. All these years the Nano was under open rain and shine. Still looks good :)

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Awesome leg room. Can easily seat 3 people in the rear. Very good A/C. Even my brother who never appreciates me couldn't complain anything with Nano and appreciated leg room, comfort and A/C.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       Except for pick up I have nothing to complain of Engine. In my daily ride I have a 15Kms of highway drive which I cross in about 10-12 mins and rev up to 100Km/Hr easily. 

      In Chennai I get 18Km/l and on high ways I get 23Km/l.

       At high speed (> 50 Kms) you can feel a bit of roll. But nothing to worry, I had a couple of roller-coaster turn and never tumbled. But it was unintended and I suggest no one try to stretch.

      Final Words

       My decision to go to Nano was because of affordability. I was able to afford 10K/M for a my transport (EMI + Fuel) and I did not want to go for a pre-owned car. So Nano was my best fit. I recommend Nano to any one who are like me and to those who want to support MAKE IN INDIA!!!

       People who are not financialy cringed or like all those bells/whistles. Please do not pass negative comments. Nano is purely not your cup of tea.

       And for my friends who would like to buy but wary of loosing your status. I never feel low to drive my Nano. I happily park is right next to Jaguar at our office, anyway that is also a Tata car. I have gone to almost all of the star hotels in Chennai in my Nano. So don't worry go for it.

       I love to write more. But have limited time and space. There is a video on making of Nano in Youtube, watch it. Also if possible read the book "Small Wonder - The making of Nano". They explain how Tata Motors, the company behind the project, overcame the limitations imposed by conventional technology and traditional methods of manufacturing to craft a motor car that has changed the automobile world.

       Be proud. I gonna drive my Nano as long as possible and hope to cover more than 100,000 Kms. I have seen Nano twist Active in Auto show 2014 and eagrly awaiting to get my next Nano in AMT and Hatchback.

      Areas of improvement  

       The model I have does not come with tray cover. But the new ones are but sadly the speakes are place in the tray reducing the space. In my car I have fitted the speakers in the door and so have more space in the tray. 

       Also in the passenger side there is enough room for a glove box. So I request TATA to make modifications for that.

       Rear washer/wiper is much needed during rainy season. Don't tell that I am greedy if I ask for rear de-fogger.😊

      Good Mileage, Low cost maintenanceNothing that gives you pain. But others complain about engine being louder.
