I bought my Indigo CS TDI in Nov 2009 and had covered 17,000 Kms without any glitch even minor one. The car is one among the Best styled car's in India, a sheer pleasure to watch......Neighbour's envy, Owner's Pride. you cant hold your eyes on a single location on this curvaceous beauty as you are bound to slip.
Interior space is too comfortable for even five people and the boot space is uncomparable with any other car in the same price range.
The trims makes a lil noise now and then but its a small price for such a big car.
Engine is quite powerfull and will give most of the other cars a run for their money on a highway. takes time to pickup but afterwards u will just wonder where are the other cars on the highway. The mileage is what beats other cars....I am getting 16-17 in city and 19 on a highway...
Ride Quality & Handling are superb, the suspensions are truly designed for Indian road conditions and you will wonder why are the ither cars lagging in this area.
Just dont go by the market rumor's and contemporary salesmen jargons. This car is a pleasure to drive so go for a test drive before deciding.
Quality of trims and service staff (including marketing people) need a lot of improvement.

I bought CS-GLS on 08.08.08
(i) Apperance : Except quality/finishing of Interiors (Fiber Used) exterior looks are simply superb..!
(ii) AC : Excellent
(iii) Comfort : I feel rear supensions are not so comfy especially on bad roads, 'coz of this whole car is slightly jumping but dealer said suspension will become soft on usage..!
(iv) Its really a family car of 4-5 members with good luggage space
My Weekend Trip Experience :
Last week I planned weekend trip with my family- me, my wife & my kid along with my parents to Kolhapur & Ratnagiri of 3 days trip, as we all love long drives during monsoons..(Yes its a risk during these season with family members) everything went very well & we are very happy with our new car..its performance on ghats is amazing..there are numerous narrow roads where its not for 4 wheelers plus we didnt even found any other 4 wheelers on these roads, but our car has truly made its own road without any hassels nor turning back..!
I really felt like we are all on some Jungle Expedition..yeah I'm not talking about our National & State Hiways..we went to remote & tribal areas to experience the beauty of nature during monsoons..there are ghats which makes one shiver..definetly not for Cars..but god was with us & our journey was terrific & memorable..yet we reached safely to our home, still we feel that how amazingly our new car supported with us..I feel no other car can beat this in performance on these dangerous tribal area ghats..!
I truly became fan of TATA Motors now..!
Exterior looks are superb..its a family car..!Low Quality Interiors, Finishing touches (Fiber, plastic materials used) at edges/nooks are not good

I simply love this car. I own Indigo CS GLS model. I never wanted to buy a small car and i was accumulating money to buy only a Big car. I thought with the prices offered by car manufacturers it would take me two years to buy a good looking sedan like SX4, City and other better cars (the cheaper bigger cars than these i never liked) but my wait ended in a little less than a year all thanks to Mr. Ratan Tata the Wish Master. He fulfilled the dreams of me and like me thousands of people who either never liked their small car or never wanted to buy a small car.
The performance of the car is far above satisfactory on the price its offered.
Fuel economy is 14 - 15 with Ac and 15 -16 without Ac in city driving. On highways it gave me around 20 KMPL with 30% Ac at an average speed of 80KMph.
I have driven the car for about 5000 kms and is running perfectly with little vibrating sound on dashboard when i cross 100 KMph +.
Gear shifting is a little rough but you will get used to it after 100 -200 kms
The pickup is average but thats changes once you move to the 3rd gear.
Heater and Ac are excellent.
Service is poor as the people working there(dealer & service centre) have to be realised everytime that only TAXI drivers can take their BULLSHIT!!!! not executives like me.
Overall Best buy if services are improved.

It was a very difficult task to purchase a car for the first time in my life.Because,i have to spend hard earned money. I had carefully reviewed pros.& cons. of all the price of 5 lakhs car with the help of your site. I am a 52 yrs old and living at present at this industrial green city , where all types of cars are available and due to hilly area, i have come on the conclusion to take latest LX model. Exterior Best in the entry level sedan, undoubtedly. stunning looks, even my friends who drive suzuku and honda r jealous after driving my new eCS.Fog lamps and indicater strip on mirrer is just owsome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I purchased new eCS GLX Petrol version recently. this is my first sadan , previously i had hatchbacks only. i love to drive it, everything is just the way i wanted.II thought of desire and accent also, but didnt like the back side of desire and accent looks outdated and old fashioned now.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good performance, smooth gearbox and good economy as well, i tried on rough roads as wel and the ride is good.
Ride Quality & Handling Hndling soft n easy, ride quality isexcellent, even the rear passenger is comfortable as it gives enough space, my two childrens hv great space to play.
Final Words GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY ON INDIAN ROADS.
Areas of improvement Should be redesigned now, both internally and externally as well.

Tata indigo CS GLX my first car.
Before i went to purchase it , the car stole my eyes. more over when i have it i am falling in love with it.
i am person with a very large figure, so i needed a Spacious car with a ample leg space, and the car meets the criteria. Styling is upto the mark with its new analogue clock and front console.
As i am not very much bothered with the milage i have chosen the petrol version(GLX). my daily travel is less than 15 Km. and the new car is giving 10Km/lit. with AC. I hope after my first servicing the milage will improve.
AC(HVAC) is efficient and there is no rear vent, i feel it a bit noisy.
Engine is smooth and producing a good power and pickup. what i liked the most is its look and interior . outer rear view mirror is dual tone with metal insert . total beige interior. leather wrapped gearshift knob and steering whelel The boot space is huge, and double folding backrest of the back seat gives enough space during the need of carrying more luggage.
Another good thing about the car is its power steering. its sensitive than many other cars( alto/Santro/WagonR......opnion may vary).
Power window is provided with the higher end model(GLX).
Audio warning for drivers seat belt is a good safety measure i found apart from standard measures.
Head lights could be more brighter particularly in dipper.
with all Pros & Cons. its one of the best car made in India. Tata motors proved again that they can give the middle class indian the pleasure of Sedan @ 4,40403(on road/ Bhopal) Thanx to them.
If you are planning for a car with space, comfort and value for money you can go for indigo CS.
