Exterior: Looks just like Tata Manza from front. Rear Viper is a great feature for a car within Rs. 600000 car especially in rainy season and foggy conditions. Headlight are well placed for better view of the highway road during night time especially where street lights are not available. Body color accesories gives astonishing looks compared to earlier versions of the car (Indica).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): I own VX model and it gives me feeling of riding a sedan. Space required sideways for parking is more compared to other small cars available in the market which is understandably due to comfortable seating space for rear seat for 3. Seating comfort for long drive is incomparable in the small car segment. I have always been a fan of TATA Cars for seating comfort it gives to all the passengers which is not available in any competition car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine performance has been outstanding so far I have driven more than 25000 KM till date. Its like a diesel rocket a small one though but cars pickup is great being a deisel car better than some of its peer petrol version. Stability is great and never shaking at higher speeds. Fuel Economy is city is around 17.5kmpl and around 20kmpl in city as well as highway combined (60:40 ratio). Gearbox has been astonishgly smooth compared to its predecessors. 1.3L Diesel engine has much better performance than 1.4L predecessors. New Maruti Swift & Fiat Punto are the other brands with same engine.
Ride Quality & Handling: Stable with less or no vibration during high speeds. ABS in three of the four versions is a good safety feature which is found in only top ends of competition.
Final Words: I am a healthy guy and I can drive comfortably with my 3 yrs old son sitting on my lap while driving. Of, course on an empty road.
Areas of improvement: After Sales Service(ASS) is good with most of the Authorized Service Center but some older service center is bringing the ASS down. The feedback form is mostly filled by the services advisor and only asking customer to sign on the form. This is serious for a company which is expanding its base internationally. They do not have better facilities for customers in the waiting lounge. I lost all my coins I forgot to take before my first free servicing.
