      I am very happy with my purchase of the top end vista aura. Which gives a good fuel economy and speed. It is very spacious and good value for money. But inclusion of ABS and air bags would have added more valu for the car.

      It is a proper car made for Indian market considering Indian market requirements.  

      On comfort too, the Indica Vista has a number of unique, thoughtful touches. The height adjustable driver’s seat and the tilt-adjustable steering wheel enable better driving posture. Utility space in the floor console under the seat and the deep glove box, which can accommodate a laptop, give that extra space when needed. Tubeless tyres, a new twist beam suspension, gas filled shock absorbers, a sub-frame construction for enhanced transverse stiffness lead to better ride and drive comfort as well as improved handling. The body has a higher use of high strength steel panels for enhanced torsional and bending stiffness. Tailor welded blanks have been used for the first time to reduce weight. Thoughtful touches, like the rear wiper switching on in reverse when the front wiper is on, are many. 
                  The interiors have the instrument cluster now placed in the centre of the dashboard to enhance in-driving passenger involvement and improved driver visibility. A dual tone grey and beige interior with a pleasing soft feel grain structure on the top end version gives the car a premium touch. A two DIN CD System with a USB port and remote control enables music to be customised to one’s needs.

      I have recently bought the car. Within two months I have driven about 1500 km. This car is giving absolutely trouble free service. The noise level is very low. It has a quite good comfort level.

      The fits and finish is not good because within two months the driver,s side door lock has developed some problem and I will have to get it checked otherwise I will have to get door of the co-driver side and open the door of the driver side and get in.

      But overall it is a good car.

      Engine and Performance: Most concerned point in the buyers mind is that Engine Noise in Cabin. I was also concerned about this but when I drove Vista TDi, I felt it is not point to concern. It’s bare minimum and as equivalent as Quadrajet or Swift. I think Tata has done good job to reduce cabin engine noise. If you are aware of normal diesel engines noise then you will accept this level of noise from Inside. But from outside it’s noisy. But who cares outside engine noise? And one more point noise in Inside is very less compared to Indica V2 Turbo.
      You will feel difference between engine response of Quadrajet and TDi. TDi is bit sluggish compared to it’s bigger brother but better than Indica V2 Turbo. It will not impress you but you will feel that it is more than sufficient.
      Mileage quoted by one of the TDi user is 21Kmpl on Highway. It is quite impressive one.

      TATA INDICA VISTA is a car with a brand name - TATA. The brand name speaks a lot and hence the customer's expectations are much more before we  even experience the working of the car. We did a lot of window shopping before opting for this car and we found that Indica Vista had the style and was as spacious and comfortable as a Chevrolet UVA/Ford Fusion with a price in between a Santro i-10 and a Chevrolet. Hence we got the benefit of both the comfort and the price.The car's interior is not plush but definitely very comfortable and spacious. It is a stylish car with a sturdy body frame which is necessary for Mumbai city roads. The start up is very good and the drive is very smooth even on these uneven roads.

      All in all it is an excellent family car that accomodates my whole family of 06+1 members (all of whom are of healthy size) without us feeling uncomfortable unlike other small cars which may have a lot of accessories to offer but very limited space for any family to fit in all at one time.

      Hence Indica Vista is my No.1 choice in the small car category and I feel that every growing family should definitely opt for it for a smooth and comfortable ride at an affordable  price.

      I am owning a Tatai indica since three months and am regularly using it for my professional and family trips. Earlier I was having a Maruti, which I used for nearly 12 years. With switching over from Maruti to Indoca, i clearly started feeling the difference in the comfort level as also the power. With 800 CC, Maruti is a clear compromise, where as Indica with 1200 CC is a lot of comfort. it zooms on road even when AC is on. The AC is so effective, I feel chilling even with minimum cooling level. The car gives good milage, it is little more than 13 Kms/lt in city driving and 16 Kms/lt on highways. Indica has good interior and it is spacious too for a family of five. The suspension is also good. the car has rugged look and it is  sturdy also.

      My experience with Tata Car dealer is also good. They take care of my car in a better  way as also they keep good record of what I had asked for on earlier occasions. The workers there are responsive and professions. On some occasions I had requested the dealer to send machanic to  my residence over phone, for which the dealer responded positively and the machanic promptly reported to me and trouble shooted the problem. Over all, it is worth buying Tata Car as the car is just right for my family, it has all the required comfort, advanced features, looks are good and ecomonical to run also. Sure it is a good value for money.

      I bought my car(vista aura) 3 months ago, after a week long trial and test drive, I choose this car because

      1) Its very spacious from inside very comfortable seats.

      2) the 2 tone interior color is great.
      3) The entire looks of the car is different from the old indica v2.
      4) value for money.
      5) pick was quite good.
      6) it had loads of small advantages over other mid sized cars(height adjustment for driver).
      7) The car is bigger than any other car in its class.

      I dint like the milege though, i have saffire which gives only 15/l but as far as i know quadrajet would give 20/l.
      The other thing that i dint like about the car was the plastic finishing of buttons for power windows and the door opener from inside(it looks cheap), may be this is the reason why its cheaper for the comfort and features that it offers.

      The Vista quadrajet diesel is a real improvement over the earlier version. In most of the reviews the comments are more focused on driver related issues and only around 10% is focused for co-passenger comforts and this is where the Vista beats its rivals.

      I have often seen people comparing the pickup of other hatchbacks and finding the  Indica lagging here. My experience is that this car picks better in the 3rd and 4th gears whereas the santros and other marutis do a better job in the 1st and 2nd gear. This gives one a feeling that the other cars are better off the blocks and have superior power. However when driving at low speeds the Indica requires lesser gear shifts which is an advantage in city driving.
      If you are not a die-hard maruti fan or a india hater here are a few things worth noting:
      - The width in the rear seat compares with most of the sedans and easily beats the Santros and Swifts.
      - The size of the rear window is better than  the swift and giving a nice overall view for the passengers.
      - The knick knacks provided for storage spaces comes in pretty handy. We have a huge glove compartment which can house a laptop and the side holders at the doors also allow for regular sized bottles to fit in easily.
      Having said this it is not  that the Vista is without its shortcomings. To name a few, with so many improvements they could have come out with an airbag and ABS included. Also the quality and finish though improved have a lot of scope for further improvement..

      OK guys, here's what you have been waiting for- a full detailed initial review of the indica vista quadrajet aura, priced at Rs. 4.88 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. (sincere thanks to Him motors, east Delhi for providing me with a demo car to test drive it)

      what you get over swift vdi for Rs. 80, 000 approx less:

      rear defogger/wash wipe
      integrated 2 din stereo with 6 speakers, USB port and remote
      huge length, width, wheelbase
      parcel tray
      driver seat height adjuster
      tilt steering
      5-speed variable intermittent front wiper
      beige interiors etc..

      what you don't
      ABS

      but the big question is, still you want that swift? (PS, swift diesel owners, do not take this personally, these are just my view points and opinions may differ from person to person.)

      looks and styling:

      subjective, pretty big and that front end is simply imposing in flesh. you have to see it to believe it. erest, all indica trademarks like bison tail lights and similar evolutionary look remain. this car simply deserves 15 inchers to look aggressive.

      fit and finish:

      quantam leap. considering the standards of tata motors, they have shown a huge improvement in this. barring a very few miniscule shoddy plastics around the steering wheel, the fit and finish was even better than safari VX and indigo XL. All panel gaps were, thankfully even.

      interior:

      simply huge. more width than a getz from inside. highly comfortable front seats with dual adjustable head restraints ront and adjustable head restraints from rear with 60/40 split rear seat.

      boot space:

      disappointing. was expecting more bu just only marginally btter than old indica

      head, legroom and shoulder room:

      NO OTHER CAR i this price tag can fit 5 FAT adults comfortable as this new vista, not even getz and palio and u-va, leave alone swift which feels terribly cramped.

      seat comfort:

      lumber support for BOTH DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER makes it extremely comfortable and no other small car provides this feature.

      a combination of heigh adjustible steering wheel and hiegt adjustment for driver's seat makes it perfect to find the driving position.

      rear seats offer the best-in class comfort, even better than the getz and u-va.

      stereo:

      system looks great, can play mp3/wma/cd/pen drive but sound is not. speaker change recommended.

      engine, at idle:

      almost zero vibration through the gearbox. LESS NOISE inside than wift, leave alone the palio mjd which is noisier.

      initial pick-up:

      DARE i say, this car is amazing.IT HAS LIGHTER PEDALS THAN EVEN MY SANTRO!! I can't believe that i was driving a TATA INDICA!

      just leave the clutch pedal lightly and that high torque at lower rpm than the swift and palio-simply works. no turbo lag, you never know when the car reaches 3-digit speeds with ease.

      mid-and top range:

      i drove this car in busy treets and highway-24 also.

      pull at 3rd gear is simply great. unlike at other diesel cars, you simply don't need to downshift. at highway, cross 2000 rpm and the car goes like a missile. I EEL it may b faster than the swift diesel. but only when magazines conduct a road test we will come to know about the real figures.

      gearbox:

      hughly improved and simply smooth shifting 5 M/T with dual synchronizers.
      almost butter smooth but can be better.

      brakes:

      did some hard braking. brakes are pretty powerful and that big ventilated disks do a great job of stopping the car. however, whels tend to lock pretty easily. fora car with such power, ABS IS A MUST.

      steering, chassis, ride and handling:

      great communicative steering combined with semi-indepedent twist-beam rear setup (similar to the ikon) actually helps in providing better dynamics than the outgoing indica, a quantum-leap improvement.rie over ruogh roads was simply amazing, with no one getting thrown around like in th swift.
      suspension was robust enough to withstand potholed roads in patparganj induatrial area.

      squeaks and rattles in demo car:
      none. the build quality was consistent and vastly improved over the V2.

      some negatives:
      paint finish on the OSRVM was not as glossy as that of the body.

      inconsistent quality of rubber beading around the windows and turn indicator lights.

      rear-end styling not to my taste as it looked like a marina.

      All Features........I haven't found any such reason...

      Vista Safire Aura has all features one can think of in a hatchback, with tons of space inside, at the price of base model of its competitors. The petrol engine 1.2L (FIAT) is amazing in terms of performance, feel, drive pleasure. I was able to do a 165kmph on DND flyway on the demo car, which made me decide on the car. Its absolute Value For Money, lot of sedans also dont have certain features, this car has it all. Its a must buy for a TATA FAN, body is TATA, styling is imported, engine is superb. It cant get better than this! I am sure on the same platform the sedans will be even better.
