Don't buy skoda cars in India, review after using Rapid for six years... Poor customer experience Internal Meetings are more important than customer who is awaiting to be attended: my car broke down and I approached neaby service center and dropped the car in the late evening after towing car for couple of hours. When I reached next day morning I was told that some daily meeting is going on and only after the meeting is over I would be attended. I had to wait for an hour......strange how come some internal meeting is so important than the customer who is waiting since more than 24hrs. No empathy...SA throughs attitude at you Customer is not important! In case of breakdown no priority is given especially when you don't belong to that city and you have to stay over night and pay to the hotel as well.....Asking for appointment when you get the breakdown vehicle how come one take an appointment in case of emergencies. Huge disconnect with customer, zero empathy, No customer first treatment No service centres even at the major locations like Dhule, which is a district place. Spares are not available, even if you inform well in advance about the work that requires spares they do not provision them. Every time I serviced my car there was some secondary damage done like I replaced gear shift mechanism they broke my a.c. button which cost 14k. Pune has worst service outlets they are changing names of showrooms however it's the same people, processes and place so ultimately no change in experience When I went to Ethics skoda Pune recently even after booking an appointment 15 days prior with clear requirements they did not order clutch plate, most of the time the car washer is not working so you end up taking car without washing....this time I just walked away from that place and decided to sell my car ........as it's been a pathetic experience after buying such an expensive car with high maintaince cost we are not getting proper service. I also experienced that they charge for things they have not done like once I was charged for wheel alignment which was never done and I had to fight each time. No repairs only replacement of parts, interestingly once when they damaged by a.c. vents and I brought to their notice then repaired it however recently when I asked to repair them they denied and suggested to replace which cost 1500 so repairs only at their discretion....that's crazy. Overall it's a frustrating experience on thet top of that your car has less resale value so you end up into financial loss if you decide to sale and buy another car......so better avoid buying such cars. Diesel manual has very heavy clutch and you end up getting knee pains, No wonder in one of the reviews someone mentioned that by the time you clear your loan you may need a knee replacement........ I dont know what's clever in the heavy clutch mechanism something we have to use heavily! Even though the car is superb to drive however if you don't get proper support it's useless. Looks like Skoda is on GM path in India.
