Final Words 305KM I have been experiencing, and really happy with it so far. In all the reviews this Vehicle is being compared with Alto, Eon etc. But in terms of exterior appearance and looks Alto ,Eon will not be a comparison at all. Kwid Looks very elegant. A/C is also pretty good, Steering is very smooth and pleasure to drive.
Digital Instrument cluster with Speedo Meter, Gear Change indication, Trip Meter, Total Fuel.
Real Value for Money. I have RXT Model. 7” Touch screen system with FM/USB/AUX/Navigation/Bluetooth paring & Calling etc. all these features in very much affordable price.
Massive boot space and ok sort of cabin space. Power is not so good but it can be manageable.
Currently im getting 23 KM/L as per the Digital Instrument cluster, long drive and same speed with A/C ON.
totally am happy.
Areas of improvement More improvement on cc. 1000 cc is best.

Hello All. I brought this car on 7th December. I booked it on 2 October. So full review will be after driving around 500 kms. This review is just for Friends who booked kwid and facing delivery issue. If the Renault Dealers cannot deliver your vehicle as on promised date the simple call to the customer care toll free number and raise the complaint. Even I did the same. I got the car in just 2 days after raising complaint. Since Out Bronze and Red colour kwid has high demand these dealers are trying to convince the actual customers who booked red and bronze cars to take other colour and selling red and bronze colour kwids in black who offers them high commission. So be cautious friends. My car review will be updated after driving 500 kms. Everything is superb about interior and exterior design but I cant comment on mileage now only.

Exterior is good enough to turn heads. Finish of paint is good (my car is of Planet Grey color) The car looks excellent from any angle. Ground clearance is good enough to give you a peace of mind in indian roads. Please note that the oil sump is made of plastic material which is a serious concern.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I had been using a Alto till now, this Kwid has got some space inside. Two persons can sit comfortably in the front. There is quite a good space in between the two front seats. That means you are not disturbing your co-passenger when you are shifting gears. Back seat can accomodate two grown-ups and a kid easily. Three healthy people will have to adjust a bit, but it will be not uncomfortable as in alto back seat. The back seat has tigh suppot and a good leg space. I am 5'-8" tall. When I sit in the driver's seat, the person sitting at my back is having a good space between his knees and the back rest of the front seat. On ly problem is that the seat belts at the back are not retractable. Storage is quite good. Ample space in glove box and front door panel. Touch screen infotainment is okay with dash board mounted speakers only. Don't expect very high quality sound from these small spakers. Navigation is good and bluetooth connectivity is an added advantage. You can connect your mobile phone and transfer the phone-book to the head unit. Interior finish is at par with the price of this entry level hatchback. Finish of the consoles and switches are good. Gear shift indicators is of no use since you wont stare all the time at the console while driving. Vocal notifications would have been a boon.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox. Engine is noisy but is smooth inside the cabin. I have watched some people reving high to roll the car in first gear, which is un-necessary. One can hear the noise during idling. Gearbox is okay but shifting of gear is crunchy. Persons using Hyundai I10 will find a bit hard to shift the gear lever. At present my car is giving a economy of 10.6 Km/L with A.C. on and in city ride (reason why I gave 2stars in the fuel economy field). Hoping to get better mileage after the first service- hoping for the best and Keeping my fingers crossed. Pick-up is good but with A.C. on when you are shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd the engine feels sluggish for a few seconds but if you rev a bit the engine springs up to life. This will happen since the cubic capacity of the engine is 800cc.
Ride Quality & Handling. Ride quality is good, suspension is comfortable. Power steering is responsive, notices roll during turnings. Braking is good.
Final Words. Over all, the car is good at this price point, atleast you get the bang of your money except some cons which are ineveitable.
Areas of improvement . Oil sump should be replaced with metallic one. Parcel tray speakers will be a welcome change.

Exterior New and fresh looks are GOOD and make us feel Kwid is stylish car almost like a mini SUV.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) More passenger room, more elbow room etc. Steering wheel, horn switch location are very comfortable. Inierior plastics and trims are just so , so. Mudd and dust accumulates below the door bottom and body floor.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox HIGH ENGINE NOISE, Kicking of gear lever felt during gear shifting. Fuel kmpl is about 14.5 and is still under observation. Engine pinking noise while moving off at slow engine speeds compels the driver to rev up the engine more than what is required for moving off in 1st gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is really good and gentle but POOR RIDE QUALITY DUE TO JERKING, KICKING AND GALLOPING EFFETCS, FEAR OF ACCIDENTS WHILE MOVING CLOSELY DURING TRAFFIC JAMS make the passengers feel uncomfortable, unsafe. Otherwise handling is very easy due to its high ground clearence, soft pedals, soft steering etc.
Final Words If this jerk problem is resolved, Instrument Cluster issues are addressed Kwid will be superb in its class.
Areas of improvement Engine noise reduction, removal of defects viz. jerking and kicking effects, Instrument Cluster quality, reliability etc.

Exterior The Accessories which have to be pasted onto the car tend to come off(the Roof rails, and wind reflectors). I wouldn't recommend the car to an individual who tends to drive fast. Since, the outer shell of the car seems very nimble. If an individual closes the door too hard, its like closing a very thin layer of metal, sounds completely weak.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Integrated Touch system seems to lag at times, when starting up the car. The Air Conditioner is excellent, it cools the car very quickly even at level one. Since I am a very tall individual, I tend to push the seat all the way back. This car would be suitable for anybody under the height of 5'8". The boot is giant for a hatchback, and an individual may remove the reat seats for acquiring more space for cargo.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine indicates that I get around 29.9kmpl according to the digital instrument cluster. I travel around 150km daily, and the car in terms of mileage is very good(But keep in mind, a car doesn't simply give mileage, an individual must drive safely and in constant speeds to get mileage without exhuasting the engine). The Gearbox seems very notchy when changing from 1st-2nd gear, which may seem annoying to some. The Cars engine is very quiet, so quiet that I tend to feel as though its off sometimes. The kwid 1.0 has a very refined engine. The Fuel Indicator lags sometimes.
Ride Quality & Handling The Ride Quality is alright according to my driving. Also, The engine tends to give good performance when there are four individuals sitting in the car. The moment a fifth individual joins the car seems to be exhausted, which drops the mileage. Also, the car doesn't seem safe at speeds exceeding 120kmph. The steering wheel becomes very light, and one mistake can end a life. The Valve within the tyres keep breaking, I hardly drive these days and I have to keep chaning the tyre valves with new ones. The brakes have been squeaking since the start of my journey with this car, I have taken it several times to the service centre at Moti Nagar, New Delhi. They tell me it is due to dust particles which reside between the brake pad and disc. when the car isn't washed properly, the brakes make sounds. Individuals at the Service centre have told me its a default error in the car.
Areas of improvement The Automotive Laws in India must make ABS, EBD as standard in all their cars. And all cars come with dual Airbags for the front row as a minimum safety measure. It really sucks that the Kwid in Brazil, gets both ABS, EBD, and Airbags for both the passengers in the front seat.
I have clocked 16,000km its going to be a year, but the car doesn't seem to have any other issues apart from the ones I have mentioned above.

Exterior Stylish and Sporty
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious enough for a small family of 4-5 members.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I brought my kwid around 1 year back and driven more than 8500 kms.
Fuel economy is good for amt variant. I got around 28.5kmpl without ac in 250km long drive ( minimum traffic condition ) and got around 23.5kmpl with ac under same condition and distance.
In city drive got around 14/15 kmpl with ac.
In mixed condition got around 18/19 kmpl with ac.
The negative i found is, there is a problem with automatic gear box, sometimes i feel a lag while shifting to reverse gear. It beeps 3-4 times before shifting to reverse gear, even though the brake pedal is fully pressed. I went to service center to resolve that issue, but they said it is common for amt variant. I felt it a bit annoying.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is great, handling is ok. The negative i found is, sometimes we find lack of power while we try to overtake large container vehicles etc.. with fully loaded car and ac on. I think it might be because mine is automatic version.
Final Words Go for it, i can assure that you wont regret your purchase.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have an AMT Model purchased on march 2017 and it starts creating problem after one month. It stops automatically while driving. I have to take it side to the roads and then starts it. It is a worst car I have ever used. It has a serious issue that it stops and get jam anywhere. On 1 jan 2017 I was going Bahdurgarh from Uttam Nagar. I took it to petrol pump and stopped it but after refuelling it did not start. Even it did not move an inch. We tried pushing hard but its engine locked the tyres and jammed. Crane came to help after 5 hours and took it to service center. Still I am waiting for the car to receive. I am filing to consumer forum to take back and refund my amount. Their road side assistance comes and say " tow away the crane and take it to service center as they dont provide any technician which can provide help for automatic model ".
Ride Quality & Handling Poor.
Final Words Never buy KWID as it is life threatening model as it can jam and dont move further.
