Exterior Good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Worthles, Fuel Economy is much much below than they claim, Engine vibration is very high.
Ride Quality & Handling The power is so low it becomes very difficult to drive, mine is Kwid-800, with A/c. it is more difficult.
Final Words Worst Service, had a horrible Experience with Bagaria Motors, Kolkata, the Service Provider. Mileage is a huge issue, my car is 8 month old, city mileage is 10-11 with A/C. which is much much below claim, secondly the battery found to be faulty, even within warranty instead of replacement, they got it repaired by Omron that too after numerous follow up and keeping the car for 5 days in their garage. They do not know how to handle clients. I had to complain to the call center but they all are hand in gloves.
Areas of improvement It is a worst car. No body should buy this vehicle. I am driving since 2000, I have a Maruti and Innova, I never faced this kind of problem with any car before since I bought it has troubled me.

Exterior Ok.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lacking seat back pouches and other convenient stowage options. Infotainment screen has limited options. Reverse camera integration, outside temperature etc mentioned in manual but not provided. Menu does not contain ECO option for driving economics reports though manual mentions it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very poor pick up. Makes overtaking dangerous. Jerky gear shift by AMT, poor fuel efficiency.
Ride Quality & Handling Poor airconditioner unit, failed within 1 month of purchase in hot summer.
Final Words Poor design and manufacturing quality. Can look at Maruti ALTO K10 AMT if you are not too particular about Infotainment panel.
Areas of improvement Dirt and leaves collect between windscreen and hood. The gap should have been sealed. Windscreen should have been provided with all around rubber seal. Wiper-arm rubs against hood when lifted for cleaning.
The air conditioning does not seem to be designed for Indian conditions. The roof panel has a depression on the rear area where rain water collects and will eventually spoil the metal work.
Optional manual shift (as provided in other makes will improve overtaking performance.
Infotainment panel may provide integration with an optional rear camera/side cameras while reversing, turning. ECo mode may be enabled.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality physically is ok, but the AMT version is really bad as i own it, sudenly the operating system fails and you get a pulse like indicator and the vechile stops in the middle of the road, such an embarasment you have to push the vechile to the road side, wait for the chance in case it gets started again pray and then again try to put in the driving mode, very low milleage.
So sorry Renault, you dream of playing big in india is going to get shattered very soon, when we early adopters are facing so much issue, how will you put an end to this bad word of mouth, just selling few cars in comaparision to your competitor is not going to place any where. please address this issue fast, even for the exsiting customers.

substandard quality of Kwid
I am Seby in Mysore. I bought a Renault Kwid RXL car in December 2015.
1. The steering had noise which was dismantled in the showroom and was rectified with some spray.
2. Handbrake was replaced.
3. Rear door rubber beading was replaced.
4. Oil sump was replaced
5. Oil filter was replaced twice!!
6. Underarms/forearms were replaced.
7. Shock absorber was replaced
8. Accelerator pedal was replaced.
9. Keeping in rain for some time will get the car 3 inches water on the floor of the car, that was anyway rectified, they say!!!
10. Under body silencer was replaced
11.Key barrel is yet to be replaced.
12. Within 30K kilometers, the brake pads had to be replaced twice!!!.
13. Body parts are too delicate, even a knock from a distance of one foot can make the car behave like touch-me-not plant.
14. The engine sound to the cabin is unacceptable. (not a major issue)
15. AC gas was reloaded (even with very very minimal use of AC)
16. Mud guards are too poor, not of any quality.
17. The wheels were removed and refitted many times which really makes the wear and tear of the car faster than normal.
18. Since the body is so thin, even a light impact can cause unimaginable damage.
19. Customer care does not respond properly
20. The car for any minor repair will be mishandled, will cause more harm than repair.
21. They dirtied the roof of the car during the first service, told they would rectify it in the following service, but they dirtied it more.

Exterior Very good. looks like swift.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Less space for back seat members.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and sound like diesel car. but not bad.
Ride Quality & Handling Not bad. exterior looking better than alto 800, interior is very less space, bad thing is not availabe more servicing centers. any way atlast value for money. Spare parts counter sales not available indealers.Even for Duster spare parts is not available. I am concerned because Duster is SUV bought by elite people who can service there vehicle at service centers regularly and can change the kit instead of a spare also the other interesting news is Maruthi Suzuki S cross tops in sale than Duster because Maruthi's spares are available everywhere. Duster have much better look good vehicle but as soon as S cross launched it tops the table. However saying about Kwid ts an entry level car bought by common poor people who dreams long time for a car and risks their savings who want the cheapest maintenance after warranty period (4years). I am not saying we need it in an open market just in your authorized dealers may be only for Kwid may be by ordering, there should be an option for buying the smallest, each and every spares.
Final Words Not bad.

Its not a good car :(
It does not work well when 3-4 people are sitting in it and you are driving uphill. Moreover on a float road also. When AC is on then also its really diffcult to drive it.
Yeah exterior looks okay and fule economy is also okay. No doubt its a value for money car but still when someone is paying 5 lakh for this car then they can pay 1 or 2 lakh extra as well for a much better car.
I could bear all this and wouldn't have written this review but Renault, Silkboard showroom, Hosur road, Bangalore. They forced me to do this. There extremlty bad behaviour with us is really not bearable. :(
The showroom management is extremly bad specially when you go to claim insurance. Even a very small amount also. They will force you to go back without claming anything and then unnecessarly you have to write all these review!
Not happy with Car and not happy with the Showroom services as well!

Exterior: Looks baby Duster & eye catchy on the road
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Much better in this segment but can't compare with Swift, I20 or other premium hatchbacks
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Very noisy engine (almost similar to Tata Nano), gearbox is hard, Fuel Economy is getting about 15-16 on highway right now, hope it should get tuned after 1st service (asper Renault showroom guys), Pickup goes down drastically if 3-4 passengers inside while AC is on, not good pulling in 2nd gear, you have to move this car from 1st gear only! even single seating inside.
I would suggest to go for RXT model which comes with power windows, do switch off AC every 20-30min to get better mileage / pick up
Ride Quality & Handling: Good
Final Words: Worth money go for it (this is my 1st renault so not sure of after sales response from showroom / spares)

I bought this car a month ago and I am really happy with it since it meets my purpose and there are a lot of features in this car that I like. there is lot of space for lugage since the boot is 300 lts and the cabin is quite spacious. the front grille makes it look like an SUV and all the accessories like the foot mats, nav system with touch screen make it feel really premium interiors wise. I like the look of the car very much and it played a major role in my selection of this car. the average ranges between 18-20 which is quite ok considering the bad road conditions. maintenance wise I havent faced any issues as of now. I liked this car as it is easy to handle in traffic and there are no issues with the driving as it is smooth even with AC.
