- Launched in India in April 2023
- Available with petrol and CNG powertrains
The Maruti Fronx has broken another sales milestone within two years of being launched by breaching the two lakh units sold mark. This is the second milestone set by Fronx, following its recognition as the fastest new model to reach the one lakh sales milestone in January 2024.
Launched in April 2023, the Fronx is Maruti’s second competitor in the sub-4 SUV segment alongside the Maruti Brezza. It can be had with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol or a 1.2-litre NA petrol that can also be had with CNG power. A five-speed MT is standard for both engines while the former gets a six-speed AT and a five-speed AMT as the two-pedal option. The Fronx has a sister car in the form of the Toyota Taisor that has the same powertrains and feature list as the Fronx.
Commenting on this milestone, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The remarkable success of the Fronx reflects Maruti Suzuki’s understanding of evolving customer expectations and our efforts to deliver products that exceed them. With a notable 16 per cent YoY growth in FY25, this compact SUV has captured the attention of first-time buyers while becoming the preferred choice for those upgrading within the segment.”
