After detailing the sales and production numbers of the Thar and XUV700 from May 2024, let us take a closer look at the numbers of the Mahindra Scorpio range from the same period. It is to be noted that all the numbers mentioned here include the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N, thus being called the Scorpio range.
In May 2024, Mahindra sold a total of 13,717 units of the Scorpio range, of which 12,611 units accounted for the diesel variants alone, while the petrol variants accounted for a sale of 1,106 units. The sales of both derivatives witnessed a rise from 8,528 units and 790 units in the diesel and petrol guise, respectively, during the same period last year.
Simultaneously, Mahindra manufactured 12,553 units and 1,208 units of the diesel and petrol variants, respectively, in the Scorpio range in May 2024. In May last year, the production numbers for the diesel offering stood at 7,242 units, while that of petrol stood at 628 units. In other news, the Indian carmaker is set to begin its massive EV offensive later this year, starting with the XUV700-based XUV.e8 electric SUV.
