Mini is a British brand founded in 1959. Owned by German brand BMW since 2000, the first product unveiled by the brand was the Mini Mark 1. The company made its debut in the country back in 2012.
Mini’s current product range in India includes models such as the Mini 3-door hatch, Mini 5-door hatch, Mini Convertible, Mini Clubman and the Mini Countryman. The company also offers a range of performance oriented models under the John Cooper Works (JCW) sub-brand.
As a part of its electrification push, Mini has unveiled the Cooper SE, its first pure electric model. The model retains the classic design and several elements from the 2017 Mini Electric Concept while sourcing power from a 32.6 kWh lithium ion battery that produces 181bhp. The car is claimed to have a range of 235-270 kms based on the new WLTP test cycle.
