Don't buy this car, very worst performance of the engine. suddenly break downs, worst service from MG people.again they tell us your driving not good. after service car become more worst.this is my 4 th car .MG hector most worst experience in my life.I am from Hyderabad here mg service worst.

when government is rolling out BS6 by April 2020 another 4 months left is it advisable to buy MG hector with BS4 ? New car will loose it's value by 50% post April 2020. Why MG taking booking for BS4? Is customer is taken for a jolly ride here ?

Buying experience of Hector is good because if want good connected features, 5 years unlimited warranty, spacious and comfortable cabin is your main priority than mg hector is the best option for the money. The riding experience of this car is not that great as the Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta because small tyres 17 inch looks too small according to its size, plenty of body roll around the corners and highway stability is not great. Looks of this car are good because front looks get LED DRL's with LED headlights and fog lamps offer excellent illumination and rear gets Audi-Esque swiping LED indicators looks upmarket. Performance of this car especially in 2.0 diesel engine is frugal and fun to drive and better refined than a petrol engine. If you want to go to hilly areas than go for a diesel engine without any doubt. It is impressively quiet and the gruffness you hear in both compass and Harrier has been filtered out. It makes 170 hp which 30 more power than the petrol hector. Performance is pretty decent as well with 100kph and it takes 0-100 in 11.39sec. Servicing of this car is available in 2 maintenance plans i.e is classic and premium. Classic comes with 3 years 45000km and cost is 15000 and 5 years 75000km and cost is 28000. Premium comes with 3 years and 5 years with 45000 and 75000km and estimated cost is 50000 for 3 years and 80000 for 5 years. There are some pros and cons of this car as follows:- PROS:- There are some pros of this car 1.) Strong Road Presence 2.) Regined 2.0 diesel engine is much more fun to drive and frugal to drive in hilly areas. 3.) Hector comes with connected features such as voice command, gaana app, sim card embedded, apple and Android Auto connectivity. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree view camera. 4.) It comes with traction control, hill start assists, all four wheels get disc brakes, ESP, rollover mitigation, tyre pressure monitoring system, brake assist, hill hold control, front and rear parking sensors, speed warning alert, rear defogger and ISOFIX child anchor seats. 5.) Massive boot space with 587 litres. 6.) 5 Year/ unlimited km warranty with roadside assistance. 7.) It comes with other key features such as 2nd row rear seat recline, 8 colour ambient lighting, fatigue reminder setting, flat foldable second row, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, 4-way power-adjustable co-driver seat, electric tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, heated ORVM's, auto headlamps, cruise control, front and rear fast-charging USB Ports. 8.) NVH levels on a diesel engine are simply top-notch. 9.)Cabin space is simply best in its segment especially at the rear where 3 peoples can sit comfortably with massive legroom. 10.) It has the longest wheelbase 2750mm which is 9 longer than the Harrier which has 2741mm wheelbase. 11.) Build Quality is solidly great and doors are ready heavy when you open and close the door. 12.) It has been built using high strength steel for enhanced safety and comes with thick door panels, roll-formed tabular steel door beams and hot-stamped B pillar. CONS:- 1.) There is excessive body roll around the corners 2.) Highway Stability is not that great as the rivals such compass, harrier, creta and seltos. 3.) Light steering wheel feels inconsistent on the highways and lacks grip. 4.) Hector loose highway manners and this is one of the biggest mistake and doesn't have the same rugged feel of its hardcore rivals. 5.) Not enough driver's appeal. 6.) Fit and Finish could be better and plastic quality is not that great as seltos, compass, Creta and harrier. 7.) Lacks the tough SUV feel. 8.) Rear seat under-thigh support is not that great. 9.) Clutch is very heavy in diesel variants which is not good for city driving conditions. 10.) Too much use of modern electronics. 11.) Limited service network. 12.) This is a Chinese Car Company.

(1) The price of the car is not very expensive. (2) This car is very different to drive. It is super long for drive. (3) This car's looks and performance are both very good. Looks so beautiful. (4) There is not much cost in this car. Its very good for service and maintenance, its good for everything. (5) I have a very electric car, but there is a great car in everything.

This car being new entrant has been set at the right price between Creta and Harrier. Comparatively has a lot on offer especially features and technology. Really like the tire temperature indicators. UI on main head unit is a bit slower. Hope they will update it soon. Not very good for offroading as the over hang is too much reducing approach angle from both ends. Tired are a size smaller compared to the overall size of this SUV. Bus quality is very good and have passed crash test with 5*. Overall it's at the best price. Long term reliability is still a question mark and to cover that MG are providing 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, I believe that comes at an add-on price.

Value for money Best in segment Best features given Engine performance best i am not drive but as pr discussion with friends it was good experience. Exterier & interior look is great. Also service centers available.

The car's overall performance is great but the engine could have been built a bit more powerful as its acceleration is a bit slow. The looks and design are amazing as its best in quality and in the price range. It comes with many voice commands which are suitable even for old ones. The driving experience os good except the fact of slow acceleration. Could have increased power on the petrol engine to make it a real BEAST. Tires are small, if it was big it would be better.

From the time of booking to the car, to the delivery the dealership was very professional and were very helpful. The car as you probably already know is really good. Some reviews tell you that the infotainment is laggy and the steering wheel is very light but God knows what they are comparing the feel and feedback of the car to, because from my experience is that it manages to balance the feel just about right for the city as well as expressways. The infotainment is not laggy anymore with the BS6. Initially, the mileage that you receive is about 7-8kmpl but after a few hundred kilometres of driving the car I have achieved 11-12 kmpl and sometimes even 13, which is great for a car of this size. Performance and handling is adequate. And if you choose to take the MG SHIELD then the maintenance cost is pretty low. PROS- 1) THE CAR HAS TREMENDOUS PRESENCE ON THE ROAD 2) THE SUSPENSION SETUP AND SPACE along with ALL THE TECHNOLOGY MAKE THE CAR FEEL COMFY AND MAKES YOU FEEL SPECIAL. 3)PERFECT CAR FOR LONG DRIVES. 4) VERY GOOD DEALER NETWORK AND TREATMENT METED OUT BY THE DEALERSHIP IS GREAT. 5) VERY AIRY CABIN 6) LOTS OF GLASS AREA SO YOU HAVE BETTER VISIBILITY. 7) EASY TO DRIVE IN THE CITY AS WELL. CONS- 1) NOT THE EASIEST TO FIND THE PERFECT DRIVING POSITION 2)THE GEARBOX IS A BIT LAGGY WHILE COMING INTO MOTION, BUT THATS SOMETHING WHICH YOU RARELY NOTICE WITH USE. 3) I-SMART SYSTEM ISNT THE MOST RELIABLE AT THIS POINT OF TIME.
