Final Words I am using this car since Dec 2009 and quite comfartable with it .I have used Honda city, Ford fiesta also but SX-4 is something different for its great power and engine response but little noisy , very good control and road grip U will feel the comfort of car and feel of SUV . 6 HRS of continuous driving is possible without any problem and tireness. I have travelled to Bengaluru , Rameshwaram Madurai from Mumbai without any trouble . Service network of Maruti is unmatched and also not eoo costly in comparison to other companies.Music system is also quite good AC is also perfect.
Areas of improvement In built rear sensor, blue tooth and Navigator is required.

My fisrt car was opel corsa,then after that sx4.Before purchasing i test drived ford fiesta,swift dzire,honda city and finally sx4.In all the cars honda city hav a smooth driving but very low ground clearance(i hav a problem in my corsa....bcoz of low ground clearance...chechis always hit the speed breakers if little bit high),and also i need a complete car(honda city hav simple mp3 player and range is also a little bit high) so i opt for sx4 instead of above cars(1.fiesta...less service centre of ford...2.dzire...i dont like the looks....3. Honda city ...bcoz all the above problems) and maruti servicing is easy to find.I've purchased sx4 zxi petrol in 2010...since then i have no problem with this car.It have all the essentials features and the quality of player and speakers are very good,wchich are needed for a good car.I had travel approx. 10000 km and fully satisfied with it.best value for money, if looking for sedan then must be take a drive of sx4

The car has been performing perfect and upto most expectations. With time, I have started to like the interiors, which in the starting did seem a bit boring. The mileage seems to be hovering between 8.5 - 9 km/l in the city. Fantastic seating position. Once one gets used to the auto, I can assure anyone reading this, that unless ure into racing, but the Automatic. It is a dream to drive in the heavy Delhi traffic.
Did not mention it in my first review (1000KM Report), but, the steering could have been a bit better in terms of feedback. It is good, but not upto the standard of the Ford Fiesta or the Honda City. Also, the A-Pillar does create a blind spot at times. Reversing the car is not at all an issue (as mentioned by many SX4 owners) - probably thats because they have lowered headrests in the new SX4.
However, I still maintain that it is the best value for money car in its segment.
I am very satisfied with the overall experience so far.100% problem free so far. The steering feedback could be better and the A-pillar blind spot

Exterior Hi every one,i actually own sx4(unlike some people reviews who are just bashing maruti). The exterior is imposing,good ground clearance(190mm) so its easy for me to drive on pot-holed roads of eastern u.p
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort The space inside is awesome. I am 6 ft and 115 kg,so belive me i do need space. The front or back seats,they are too good. Intially I found suspension bit hard but after 2000 km it eased out and now i barely feel bumps in it.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Have overtaken all the cars of C and D segment on highways of UP,where it is a norm to drive fast and furiously. For milage i will say that i have got 9km/ltr in one trip where my avg.speed was 100-110 and when i drove at constant 70-80kmph for 200 km,the car gave me a respectable 16.8 with a/c in full mode. No jokes.
Ride Quality & Handling Intially it may feel awkward because once inside the car,you feel like its very huge,but very easy drive. i live in varanasi,and believe me you need good handling if you want to drive here.
Final Words Excellent car,good space inside,awesome boot space,good ride. Now with diesel option, only thing diesel wont be powerful
Areas of improvement Maruti guys need to put a good stero system and a more funky instrument panel.

I'm planning on buying a car in the 8L neighborhood and have been reading several reviews online and thought I'd contribute to the information available and invite comments on my observations.
Before I begin, I thought I'd list the key features I'm looking for in a car:
1. Must offer good safety features - ABS and dual front airbags at least.
2. Must have very good ride quality
3. Should have comfortable seating (minimum 4 adults)
4. Should offer good fuel efficiency
5. I use the car for mainly for work (~25km/day) and ~10-15 km over the weekends, and I'm not really a speed freak, I just want a reliable, comfortable car to commute.
Observations on the SX4 (ZXI)
1. I test drove the SX4 and the first thing that you notice as soon as you buckle up is the high seat and excellent view of the road (I used to drive a Swift ZXI earlier and I'm making some comparisons)
2. Responsive steering although I'm not sure if I want to keep nipping in and out of Bangalore traffic in a sedan - I enjoyed doing this in my Swift though :-)
3. I had to negotiate a busy intersection - the one where you have to keep inching forward into fast moving traffic form the left and the right and immediately noticed that the front 'A' pillars prevented clear view of the traffic - I had to really make an effort to look between the wedges in the front to get a better look at the traffic on both sides
4. Parking and reversing seem to pose a challenge due high rear profile of the SX4 - I've read that parking sensors could make life easier here?
5. The suspensions and ride quality seemed to be good (comparable to the Swift?) although for a product where you spend almost all the time inside while you are using it, I really did expect Maruti to have better interiors - the exteriors looks, design et. al are all good, but I care more for the interiors as I'm driving the car, not outside looking at it most of the time.
Observations on the Aveo (I'm comparing the 1.6 LT (option pack) but they only had the 1.4 available to test drive)
1. As soon as you get into the Aveo and buckle up the interiors take you back - you take a bit to soak it all in. I was saying to myself "nice... very nice" very pleasing to the eye.
2. As I begin to move into the Bangalore traffic and feel a distinct sluggishness in the steering, also, the engine could have been a bit more responsive to the tap on the accelerator pedal
3. I've read so much about the gear box being notchy - I did fidget around with it and got the feeling that I needed to change gears frequently - not sure if was just the busy traffic all around or I was wanting more out of the car, however the car keeps moving forward and you kind of let the gear stay engaged and press on...
4. Excellent ride quality, and seating space - found it better then the SX4
5. The only features that I found missing from the Aveo was EBD and anti theft system when comparing to the SX4 ZXI.
At the end of the day I'm bit confused as to what car to buy as both seem to be somewhat equally matched - I get the impression that the SX4 would be better enjoyed by a someone who likes a bit of a race once in a way, while the Aveo would be appreciated more by someone who is happy to move with the flow of the traffic?

Fantastic vehicle with loads of features especially in the ZXi version.
Had a doubt whether I should go for a Maruti Suzuki vehicle after owning two vehicles from the same company previously.
The SX4 removed all such doubts and I just went for it. Fantastic handling. Excellent & comfortable interiors. Great ground clearance. Beautiful safety features.
