Friends I can tell you Punto is Far better than swift. I have been using Punto for last 8 month and my brother has swift diesel for last 2 years. Service from Tata end was good. Please stop spreading false information about FIAT. Their marketing strategy is bit low coz fiat earning enough profit in India since they started distribution of engines to Maruti, Tata. am staying in Bangalore a native of Kannur kerala last two years we used swift for long drive and now its punto, way to Bangalore to kerala is lil risky forest area, express highway, mountain pass and off course road was not good enough. Experience with swift on this way was not much impressive but I can say it was ok car compared to other hatchbacks except punto, we have to slow down on bumpy roads and in mountain pass, highway speed wasn’t exciting with swift we feel lil body roll and in punto its nill. In the same way experience with fiat punto was incredible in terms of handling on curves, steadiness on higher speed, braking, comfort, and yes engine performance is absolutely phenomenal in the highways no one can beat punto, bumpy roads also feel comfort we can go high speed even in rough road never your feel like loosing control swift feel like loosing control on rough road with higher speed……
Friends before blaming fiat cars please do test dive not only on highways also in rough bumpy roads and feel the difference once the test drive is finished please go next to maruti for instant comparison.

Exterior Exterior is designed very carefully. The front part of the swift is very nice and sporty. The car is designed mainly for the city. According to me, the rear part of old swift looks better than the new one. I didn't find any other issues. Overall the exteriors of the new swift looks very cool.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) About the interior, it is one of the best part of the new swift. It is very nicely designed. It looks far more better than the old swift. The build quality and the styling is extremely nice. You won't feel it is a middle segment car once you are behind the steering.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Another important feature is the performance. I'm getting 22 kmpl on highway and 15-18kmpl in the city. The accelaration is amazing. Shifting the gear is very smooth and solid. i give 9 out of 10 for the overall performance you are getting.
Areas of improvement I think it has to improve on the shape of the rear. Other than that i don't find anything to improve.
Conclusion I did a lot of research before buying this car. I find swift is the best car in this segment.
The main advantages are:-
1. looks very sporty
2. very good peformance
3. extremely good mileage
4. sporty interiors
5. low maintenance cost(around 2000 per service)
6. nice service
7. good for long trips
8. good resale value.

Exterior Exteriors are good, as compared to ford, i20 and skoda.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features like CD Player, Bluetooth connectivity are missing in VDi. Comfortable for city as well as long drives too.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I can overtake whom i want, no need to think for overtaking. engine is powerful, economical & Compact. From 0-100 in a blink of your eye.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable ride. Everyone knows the handling of MAruti cars, servicing and maintanance of maruti cars are very economical and you can get spare and service anywhere easily.
Final Words I simply love it. I love Maruti cars for spare, Service and Resale Values. The best part of Maruti is its Huge Service Network, wherever you go, You can find a Maruti Service Centre. Also the parts are not so costly and easily available.
Areas of improvement VDi should be equipped with CD Player, Bluetooth and atleast with ABS.

Exterior of the car is really good the car looks really stylist also change my tyres and put new allows wheels which has helped the car to look more like a sports car.Putting a wider tyres has improve my ride quality also
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):Maruti could have given a deck(tape) same of Swift DZire VXI atleast as the interiors looks really poor if we spending so much money on a car.I am really disapointed with Maruti as they are not offering a Tape in the VXI version.I specially requested the dealer to put the Deck of Swift Dzire VXI so that my Interiors are improved as the deck now looks a part of my daskboard only.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:Engine is better then I-20 driving wise but have to drag the car on lower gears its not so peppy as Honda Bravio or Nissan Micra.but the money you are paying its good not that bad also.Fuel Economy good.
Ride Quality & Handling:Ride Quality is good but the brakes and suspensions are a little on a weaker side as Maruti could have given better braking symtems.I get problems in braking when I on a speed of 120 kms as in city driving its simply perfect
Final Words:The car is really good for the money we are paying,Ride quality is really good,but the only problem is that Maruti should have improved a bit on Interiors as they could have given a Deck(Tape) in the VXI this was just a drawback I found in the car but after putting the deck of Maruti Swift Dizer for which I paid 16500 extra my interior were complete.I request Maruti Suzuki Company to please provide a Deck in the VXI variant for better sales as I simply love the interiors of NEW hyundai 1-20 magna.
Areas of improvement:Maruti can improve in the interiors of the VXi version and also in thier braking system and suspensions.Also Maruti should give more features in the VXI and VDI models like Bluetooth connectivity,Aux and USD System in the Car also Deffoger Back Glass as thats the only drawback of the Car.Lastly Better Boot Space also.

Exterior Excellent looks, very refreshing. Looks as if Marurti has got its style quotient right this time.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior space is adequate if not huge. Little less of luggage space. Newly done dashboard is very attractive and gives a real premium feel.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is great though have just driven few hundred kilometers after getting hold of my VXI on 15th of December.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is very refined. The power steering is silky smooth and makes it a treat to ride even in the narrowest of lanes.
Final Words Go for it even if it means waiting for a couple of months. Though in my case my car got delivered in a week's time, thanks to the excellent salesmanship of Mr Manjit Das of Pallavi Motors, Guwahati. Very efficient handling of customers by the mentioned dealership executives. Kuddos to them all especially Mr Manjit.
Areas of improvement A music system and rear defogger atleast for the VXI/VDI models.

Exterior Looks complietly Rock Solid from all the angles, My Sis was not having a craze of Swift models But she was also fasinated with the looks and interiors of the Carrrr when I drove to pune to visit her. I had a dream to buy a car from 2011 , Finally it got true on 6/2/2013. after a long research as I was not willing to waste by hard earned money. Swift Vdi 2011 was my initial choice later Punto Dynamic and I20 Magna Option Came to the Race, I20 was dropped as it costed me Extra 60-65 k in comparison to Punto and Swift. Punto was also out of the Race as Fiat makers were planning to get a face Lift for Punto that would be Punto Evo some where Third quarter of 2013.
Finally Booked 29 Jan and got the Delivery on 6 feb 2013 from Chowgule Industries in Panjim Goa. As I work in bangalore Everthing was done over the phone, emails , and Net banking, I just went to Sign Registartion Docs and taken the delivery by End of the day.Have to Say these guys are Great in terms of Customer Service
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Looks very Spaciaous from inside, Boot space is also Good, You can accomodate 3 people at the Rear Seat. I have done Floor Lamination,Delux Fliming, Under Coating, Internal panelling and paint protection and Sill guard for fours doors it looks Awesome, this all has costed me extra 16 k.
Dash board, Steering: Dash board looks amazing, Steering with Silver accent adds charm to it, Ac vents Seems good and features like central locking, Ovrm Movement is at its best.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I learned driving from Motor Driving School in Banaglore got DL by paying Extra Bucks to RTO officer, Was very much Afraid to drive my New Beast as i cant drive the car in traffic,Finding difficulty in shifting the gears, But finally with the help of Frns Managed to Drive for Couple of days with minor Bruises on back and front bumper and left the car in Goa at my home and went to bangalore.
I returned back to goa after a month for Service and after left for Pune Via Sawantawadi, Kankavli, Kolhapur road, instead of being a starter Driver.
Complety Unaware about the roads Started from Honda Goa at 2.30 with 2 to 3 Minor Breaks reached pune by 11.30.With a small Bruise on the Front bottom Corner on the bumper Near Sawantawadi whereby a Mahindra fellow was overtaking a bus from front and by no means i have to turn to my left and there was a load of Gravel dumped to repair the road wherby front bottom bumper got chipped, I wished i would have applied break when i saw him, thought i would be able to make it, but I was wrong
Went upto 140 at that time I felt car is very light. Engine is smooth With Minimal Noise, And gear Box is very smooth, Pune Up and down Costed my 3200 r.s Diesel for 1075 kms. It gives 18 Without A/c
Ride Quality & Handling Riding is having complete Fun in ghats as took Raigad, Amboli and Pune Ghat while Returining back, Its like a Cheetah on NH 4. Had a good competion With Innova, Scorpio, Skoda Rapid, And of Course Swift/Dezire.
My new Beast has touched 1674 kms and I am planning to bring to Banaglore in june so that I can taste the rides. Bit afraid driving in traffic
Final Words Just go for it knewing the facts that it has Fiber Fuel tank, Its Weighs less compared to the cars in same segment,Metal used to build is thin. Value for Money if it has been in hard way.
Areas of improvement Metal used should of a good Quality, Company Claims mileage as 23 but seems its only 18 or???

Exterior Swift is a good looking car overall. The car looks bit Boxy but thats the atvantage it has. Not too much going on fairly neat design on the outside. I would like to expalin how it compares with Hyundai i20 so you can get more information. i20 looks a bit more stylish with all the crome and curves on its exterior. i20 is longer in length by 90mm, wider by 25 mm and lower in height by 25 mm, this makes Hyundai i20 slightly bigger on the inside and less body roll.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Swift has better dash layout when compared to i20 dash. The plastic on both the cars are good but when compared the Swift has more Hard plastic which reverberates the cabin noise. i20 has a bit soft plastic and has a quieter cabin and is well sound proofed. Swift and i20 has good seats.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Swift has a 1248 cc diesel and i20 has a 1396 cc diesel engine, which means Swift is 148cc lesser than the i20. Swift power is 75PS @ 4000rpm but i20 power is 90PS @4000rpm. Swift torque is 190Nm @2000rpm and i20 torque is 220Nm @1750rpm. What these above numbers mean is, Swift has less powerful engine than Hyundai i20 or i20 is more powerful. Please compare the specs you will find it yourself.
Ride Quality & Handling When compared to ride quality Hyundai i20 is far better than Suzuki swift. i20 has gas filled front and rear suspension. When it comes to Handling they are very close but swift seems have a little better edge. The i20 has all four wheel disk brakes but swift has only discs on 2 front wheels, obviously i20 had better braking efficiency.
Final Words I love both these cars and i have driven both of them. I would suggest i20 diesel a better car than the swift diesel.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is really smooth.It produces very less noise as compared to other cars of the segment and gives the meaning to its name....Swift!!When it comes to fuel economy Maruti Suzuki has always offered best in class fuel economy which is secret of its survival even after getting competitions from the Foreign rivals like Nissan,Chevrolet,Hyundai,Honda which are all concentrating on the same segment Swift belongs.....
Ride Quality & Handling It's electronic power steering gives very easy and smooth handling....it feels as if you are driving a electric Dash Car....the ride quality is perfect enough that it will not make you think before going to long drives with your loved ones
Final Words It has been more than two decades and still Maruti Suzuki is favourite automobile brand for indians to buy a car.This is the reason that you can find a Maruti Suzuki service station even at the higher altitudes of Leh-Laddakh..Also the service cost of Maruti is much lower as compared to other automobile companies.These are few solid reasons that can change any mind who is all set to buy a car in india.
Swift comes among the largest selling cars by Maruti Suzuki because it is value for money..
Areas of improvement Boot Space at rear seats could have been better,Also the size of window for the rear passengers should be readjusted because it is so small and gives a claustrophobic feel..
Stylish,Comfortable and Power Packed!!!Lacking boot space if compared to other cars of the segment...Interiors could have been better.

Its really surprising to see that Maruti has not provided an alloy wheel and a good spare for the stepney tyre. Recently I had a puncture and was surprised to see that the stepney tyre was smaller in size and was not alloy wheel like the rest. When I rang up the showroom, they mentioned all that old crap about the company not providing one etc etc because it would jack up the cost of the car. I had to stop them from babbling all memorized excuses and bullshit citing that a person who is going for the highest model willing to pay for all safety features at the highest price cares a damn about the cost of an extra alloy wheel.
I just wonder what logic has been put in by the company in "when a puncture eventually takes place, does this extra tyre guarantee a good safety feature for the car's highest model even for the small trip to the maintenance workshop".
If given an option I would never recommend a Maruti Swift to any of my friends. Only outer style of the car is improving these days. The company does not want to establish itself as a good brand and value for money along its competitors in quality.
