Exterior front portion resembles ritz with headlight of swift.back similar to innova.tail lights not upto the price.shape similar to innova but much smaller dimensions.

Final Words for a price tag of nearly 8 lakhs for diesel ldi its not worth.u can get a xylo for this price.xylo is more spacoius than ertiga and a value for money proposition.good for people who dont want a proper 7 seater but can waste their money for something with lesss space,less equipment but is easy to drive in city.nothing much.
Areas of improvement price.should have been much less.it might have been worth with a price tag of 6.5lakh for diesel.all parts used are from other maruti range of cars.so company could have easily sold it for much less price.maruti thinks that they can sell any thing with any price tag they want.if u want a value for money vehicle go for xylo or even bolero which have more space,power and strong built.

perfect car for a family of 5+ but take cng only , diesel is very noisy dont take diesel at all,
there is no noise in cng, very good control of car, very luxury, very nice , very very nice
very fast touched 140 kmpl no noise, no vibrations, could not extend more as i was overjoyed
at the stabilty of 140kmpl. this is the car which is perfect car for family, i tested in rain also
where i overtook most cars including innova easily. 15+ average noone gives

I booked a Maruti Ertiga Limited edition from Kothari wheels on 25th Aug 2014, expecting to give as a gift for my 10th wedding anniversary - the dealer told the vehicle will be available within one week and taken all the amounts well in advance - even after 1.5 months they could not deliver the vehicle and I complained to Kothari wheels customer care and Maruti customer care - they send me an apology letter and promised to deliver in 2nd week of Oct 2014- I decided to wait - but towards the end of 2nd week of Oct - I got a mail from Kothari wheels mentioning that Limited edition has stopped production and if you want can go for normal Ertiga.
It was very disgusting to have this type of response from a renowed company like Maruti, which doesn't have any place for customer feelings - it not only ruined my wedding anniversary and also wasted 2 months of my precious time and money.

Exterior Purchased an Lxi model on very first day in Lucknow. Maruti-Suzuki for the first time designed a spacious and compact MUV with great looks for large Indian family.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable interiors with space for 7 adults, good instrumentation, folded seats provide lot of room for luggage.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good responsive engine, very smooth, good fuel economy.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellant ride quality even on rough roads.
Final Words Maruti-Suzuki will be a leader in the MUV segment with this great product. I highly appreciate and recommend this vehicle. It looks huge from outside, but once you get inside you feel that it’s like a luxuries big size car. While driving you don’t feel the volume /size of the car in small narrow roads, it can easily maneuvers in narrow roads. Good visibility. While driving in city, you don’t require to apply the 1st gear, in 2nd gear you can mange to move the car without any jerks. On highway it can manage with 4th and 5th gear. Frequent change of gears in not required. You can comfortably cruise 120 to 130 km on highway without any risk. My experience of the breaking system is very good on high speed. Very dependable breaking. In fact while I was driving at around 125 km I could mange to stop the car without any havoc or confusions very good road grip, car did not move towards sides it was a straight approach stop. Comfortable seats for driving even though there is no seat adjustments, no back pain for long driving. AC has a good cooling.

Meter showed Avg of 10km/lt in ZDI test drive vehicle, Some chattering/vibration on the clutch, gear shift hard.....all of these may be due to test vehicle? Establish the BHP/Wt ratio, Catalogue does not mention Kerb weight...keeping the finger crossed on committed 20.77 milage?

Final Words
Overall a good car, a family car, It thinking of moving small Hatchback to Sedan, consider alternative - new category before taking up bigger SUV. A value for money.
Areas of improvement
Additional 100-150mm would have added lot of space between the seats. The space between driver and non driver looks congested for medium build two adults, 3rd seat should have been split to add flexibility to boot space.

Exterior Ertiga in the rear view mirror looks like a small car, it is shorter than a Tata Manza but you fold the third row of seats and you have so much space behind! The secret is the spacing of wheels, the overhang in front of the front wheels and behind the rear wheels are very less, resulting in a longer wheel base and a bigger flat bed to play with for the designer in filling with seating & luggage space.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Ertiga's NVH is excellent, a diesel engine after it runs in for over 10000km becomes even smoother. Even within a single trip, once the engine is warmer as per design temperature, the vibration levels go down.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Acceleration above 2000 rpm is amazing but you feel at loss at lower rpms to pick up speed. Fuel economy is amazing, after clocking 1000km I have an average of 18+kpl, which for a car of Ertiga's size and weight is one of the best possible.
Ride Quality & Handling I used to own a Santro Xing, compared to that, the suspensions for a bigger car Ertiga, could have been improved. Suspension is not up to the mark. You cannot cruise across road humps as in an Innova. Else, ride is comfortable even in the last row of seats.
Final Words A perfect car for a family of 5+ in city and around.
Areas of improvement Lowering of the spare tyre, very cumbersome, the screw disengages and the whole tyre frame with tyre falls down on the ground. A simple spring loaded frame or a hydraulic arm lowering the spare tyre frame slowly would be sufficient.
Provision for CD/DVD storage etc...

I purchased my VDI on 7th sept 2012.Got instant delivery without waiting from AAA vehicleades Malviya Nagar , Delhi. Delivery experience wasn't pleasing at all, infact very bad. My car's PDI wasn't done nicely and other things, but i must say it is a very good buy.
Exterior Overall the car has excellent exterior look, Looks simillar to Innova . Easy to drive as it is less broad, similar to swift in broadness. outside view from drivers seat is good, though reversing is a problem without the rear view camera. This could have been a standard option.turning is good. overall exteriors are great.
Front crash safety seems a little concern as if headlights are removed there is little strength for safety. like safety bars etc. The paint quality could have been better, Fog lights doesn't seem to be much effective at night. Cleaning of the car's roof is a problem :) have to climb on door's sides.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior colour combination is great and impressive. though quality at door handles(plastic) is a bit poor as the joints are visible and seems to be opening at places. seats are comfortable ,drivers seat with hight adjustment and lumbar support is missing in vdi model.Drivers arm rest which is a must is missing. side mirrors should have been self folding.though for my family rear seating is good as well as it is mostly used by kids, so leg spacingisnot a problem too.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good, with good pickup, milage has improved in city driving from 7 km/ltr to 13.5 km/ltr . as i drove only in city traffic. company claims it will drastically improve after first service. There is hardly any space in engine compartment for mechanic to work, as it is very tightly packed.Air conditioner is very effective. double ac does good work.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very good.Suspension seems to be strong. Peace of mind as spares are mostly of swift and sx4 , so avalibility wont be a problem.
Final Words Great car. happy to own one, i preffer self driving, for that purpose it is a great car to move in city too. less width is the plus point than innova which is more broad and good only for taxi driving.
Areas of improvement DRIVERS ARM REST MISSING.SHOULDBE STANDARD AS THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A LONG DRIVE FAMILY CAR
Rear sensor should be standard with camera in rear view mirror like verna and other cars.
Reversing is a realproblem without rear camera. Also foldable side mirrors should be standard.
Front crash safety should be enhanced, with safety bars.
Last row seats should be folding and hanging like innova as that is a better option for space in the rear.

Exterior I would rate looks as above average. Still feel better than xylo, scorpio or even Duster. It gives the feel of both MUV and sedan

Final Words Its true value for money for big family. 5 adsults and 3 children can sit comfortably. gives ample boot space if you fold 3rd row. No problems with boot space.
Areas of improvement Maruti should improve the front view. Most of the maryti cars looks same from front, Also Maruti should include defogger and rear wipers in VDI/ VXI models.

After test drive
Look and Style Good look and stylle. Size wise ideal for indian roads. Definately a new segment since lower size with lower size engine with six seater and one kid (no head rest for the person in center mandatory safety feature)
Comfort Good comfort while hitting pot road or of road. ergo nomics steering location legspace etc. Sealing of cabin noise from road is poor for the segment. lot of vibrations and noise being transmitted to cabin for the diesel engine compared to SX4 and swift. No climate control which is the thing distracting driver from driving even in the highest VDI.
Pick up Pick up good for the size of engine and two persons sitting however with the pick up it seems will not be bad for six persons sitting unless some one wants a thrill.
Mileage Claims 17 in diesel with AC in delhi /NCR region
Best Features Higher number of passengers, with verstality in using new segment, greate average for the work it would do, side dedicated lever for moving seat for the second row to access the third row, putting the spare wheel under the chasis, over head blower simply sucks air from front and cerculates to back, smooth movement of head rests, right coloured upholstery,
Needs to improve To claim seating with safety feature of head rest only, cabin noise , vibration of diesel engine transmitted to steering and body, no climate control, no space for fridge, no CNG /LPG, no option for individual seats in second row, poor plastic music system in the lower variant, no foot rest for the last seat full grown ups to come out difficult to place foot with bent back to the ground directly, multiple cabin lights (three atleast), the foam density could have been better for better support,
Overall Experience Good for the price however the diesel variant vibration too much to bear . petrol version could not be test drived.

Exterior Great looks, head turner, all colors look good on the vehical shape.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious interiors except for 3rd row (which anyway is used infrequently). Its luxurious 5 seater with emergency 7 seater. Some plastic rattling noise during driving. Could have been better but cost cutting at Maruti end. AC is very effective and chilling. On ZXI model they should have given Bluetooth too.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Petrol Engine is noiseless and very smooth. Fuel economy is just above 11 kmpl in city run (with AC on) and on highway about 14 kmpl. Though the meter reading always ahow between 13.2 to 13.6 kmpl which is misleading. Gearbox is smooth and looks like the gear ratio between gears could have been better as on the lower gears the rpm is high. Very good pickup and speed thrills.
Ride Quality & Handling Gives a feel of the car and not of the SUV, which is good. Some outside noise does disturb and also some plastic parts inside make noise on even regular roads. That might get sorted out with user feedbacks.
