Buying experience:
I often don't write such reviews like this, but my experience is simply amazing from the time I have visited the showroom (Jaikrishna Maruti, Annur, Coimbatore branch). Starting from the Test drive till delivery the executive name Kamal had taken care of all my concerns and addressed patiently. I would highly recommend Jai Krishna for their enthusiasm and efficiency in finding out my requirement and the ability to explain in details is what made me surprise and delighted that I am in the right place.
Riding experience:
This was essentially important part, when I have decided to test drive they've made sure the car was there for me to test drive despite they didn't have the car in the showroom, they have arranged the car in that branch. I was upgrading from my Ford Figo car to Swift Dezire and I am convinced that I have taken the right decision. I am happy still and also peaceful after clocking 1,19,850 KMS (1,19 lakhs) from 2013 till date. It is a diesel version of the VDI. This car has never let me down till now and it's become a family. Most people agree to disagree, Maruti has done a great job, no wonder why the Maruti Swift Dezire is the top-selling car in India.
Looks:
At that time, the look was quite modern and even in today's world it's quite bold and I liked the old look than the latest 2018 model since my car looks muscular from the front and the honeycomb grill just enhances the beauty of the front view. I get an approximate mileage of 25 KMS if it's driven within 80 to 90 while at above 100 to 120, I get a decent 21 KMS which is pretty impressive. The engine is buttery smooth and I have hardly given the car to another person as I always feel to drive it myself as I get attached to it so much like my wifey...
Service and Maintenance:
I will not say the maintenance is less, it is moderate. Neither too less nor too high. On average, my bill would be around 8K to 11K for a regular periodical maintenance service which I use to do for every 10,000 KMS. I have done a timing belt/chain replacement and the cost was around 12K when I clocked 1 lakh km and the cost of clutch replacement was around 15K when I clocked 90K km. So honestly, I would say this is much better in terms of maintenance as I have seen my friends who use to cry as their cars burn a big hole in their pockets.
Pros:
To start with, it's a Maruti, the name itself is an advantage and what else you need.
Better fuel efficiency and easy to maintenance
Peace of Mind (because it's Maruti)
You will have the confidence in highways while overtaking
Buying experience and the loan and the insurance arranged by Maruti insurance team
Value for money
Cost of ownership
Resale value, depreciation at the rate of 40K per year and still my car fetches around 5 lakhs after 1Lakh KM and 6 years
Decent built quality
Cons:
Should have included the ABS as a standard
Should work on the express service and reduced service charges to stay competitive
