I got my Celerio vxi Auto Gear Shift just 3 days ago.
I am somewhat pleased with its performance so far.Driving it is quite an easy and pleasant experience However, I am dissatisfied on the following counts.
a) The car is light weight and hence it lacks adequate traction on slippery slopes.(My old indica diesel would quietly climb up my tiled drive to my house even in the heaviest of rains, without a protest. With the Celerio, the squeals of the tires slipping is quite prominent and I need to build adequate momentum before the slope to drive it up). This also raises the question about the overall grip of the car.
b) Maruti are quite reluctant to share technical information. Material provided in the owner’s manual is inadequate for a person who is really interested in knowing the car that he owns. Most of the queries written to Maruti during the 5 months between booking and delivery fell on deaf ears. Maruti did not seem to appreciate the fact that a customer may want to know certain details before buying a new product.
I hope to post a more detailed review after using it for a few months.

Exterior Is fine I understand to brind down the cost they have used low cost materials.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is good , comfort but interiror features are very very cheap.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Poor on high way drive, bad fuel economy certainly not as quoted by maruti and high way drive is hopeless.
Ride Quality & Handling City drive fine long drive very poor
Final Words I expect Maruti to rectify the mistakes in the car to help new buyers or I am sure this will not be a show stopper in Auto segment and maruti will recall the cars very soon. It was a bad decision to buy this however its a learning experience.
Areas of improvement Interiors, Exteriors, Gear box efficiency to improve, Long drive the car sulks a lot, I also got a burning smell from inside the car while on long drive with A/C ON. Worried and stopped the car to see no problem noticed. called the show room service personnel but could not get a satisfactory answer. now its fine butt I am afraid on future long drives.

Exterior is so good nothing adverse, rear look may be improved.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Sufficient boot space for this segment water bottle space for each passenger.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox My car is giving 19+ mileage in city in heavy traffic conditions. You can take better milage with just a simple trick.
Accellarate the car step by step. it will change gear according to speed and apply brake in just like ABS technology.
Ride Quality & Handling this car should be loved by those persons who do not want to shift gears frequently and dont create embarassing situations when car is stopped in gears.
Final Words No tension car, overall best car for me and for those who dont want to take tension while driving a car. New car drivers like me 40+ will love this car because it gives peace of mind.
Areas of improvement Auto gear shfting should be more comfert without jerks.

Exterior: Smart looking car for this price range. I like the Front of this car specially the Crome Grills. Decent Headlights and tail lights
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Materials used inside the cabin is of poor quality , from Roof of the car to dash board , the seats , you will only feel that you are sitting in some cheap looking chinese plastic car.
As far as Space is concerned , cabin is spacious and airier .
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine is good and responsive but bit slow in mid-range RPM .
This is an AMT car so you can relax your left foot. Fuel Economy is also pretty good.
I have driven it around 5000 KMs and now it have started giving me a pretty good figure.
My AC is ON all time and it is giving me 19+ average in City( Delhi to Noida) .
I haven't taken it to Highways yet.
Ride Quality & Handling : As expected from MAruti Ride abd handling is awesome.

Exterior Good exterior but there is cope of improvement to make it contemporary.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is one area where this car will beat the expectation. Very comfortable interior and leg-room for driving. There is some compromise in boot space but this is not unexpected given the samll size.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox With my 1000km drive, there is no let down so far with engine performance, It is a silent vehicle. Fuel economy is quite good. For me it has clicked 18 so far (impved from 17.8).
There is no gear-locking in AMT, with little careless driving gear shifts to Neutral without any clue. We realise only after vehicle stops moving even after intense throttling. This is a design error, which can be corrected with a simple external attachment/cap for gear knob locking.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb ride quality. Shock absorbers are not so good as of i10/i20, but not bad either. Very easy to handle and maneuover evenin crowded or cramped space. However, the body exterior and bonet do appear quite fragile (very thin material build-up which should be avoided).
Final Words Very good car single hand driving.
Areas of improvement ABS is a must for auto-gear car, there is no provision for ABS which is a big let down. Minor features like rear wiper, rear camera, parking sensors would have given a good value addition without any significant cost. Tile steering and driver's seat height adjustment may be considered in future upgrade.

Exterior Car looks tiny from outside, but reasonably spacious when inside. Wider than WagonR & Alto and can easily seat 3 adults.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious and many utility options and holders. However, quality of plastics and metal parts is very poor.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Driven 400kms till now. Engine is quite until 3500RPM. Overall engine performance is satisfactory enough. Lag in 2nd gear performance is noticeable. Without AC car gives 15-16kmpl in bumper-to-bumper city traffic. Yet to see real mileage after 2 services. Auto Gear Shift is really good when driving in bumper-to-bumper traffic. AGS takes its own time to shift gears when you want quick acceleration. However, driving in manual mode is quick and very responsive.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride for this budget, handles well at corners, precise steering. Big tires of 14 inch. Good highway stability.
Final Words Worth buying if you are not obsessed with acceleration and with looks. Very suitable for women & first time drivers.
Areas of improvement: Ugly front seats with integrated headrests. Rear body without mud-flaps is ugly, even fitting a maruti genuine mud-flaps does not integrate to the body very well. Mud flaps come-off after few days of driving. Maruti to deal with the over use of plastics, car body can be easily dented. Not even comparable to similar segment cars from hyundai. Missing minimum accessories like Audio system. No option of ABS & Airbags in AGS models.
Don't expect this car to be safer even with airbags, because unlike European celerio, Indian celerio is not built with TECT technology (high strength steel), so if you meet with any accident at speeds greater than 65, then you can imagine the rest.
Absolutely pathetic dealer experience from GEM Motos, Kondapur, Hyderabad. These idiots robbed me by all means.

Exterior Good Design for an automatic at this price. Rear could have been better.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) VXI AMT is poorly equipped as far as Features are concerned. Excellent space and Comfort. ITS ADVISABLE TO GET THE SEATS DONE AT A CAR ACCESSIORIES TO INCREASE THE SEATING COMFORT.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent Performance and Gearbox at this PRICE. Manual mode is also easy in Kerala traffic where we dont have any Highways like other states. After first service I am getting 15 kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling SUPER TO DERVE IN A STATE LIKE KERALA WHERE WE DONT HAVE ANY HIGHWAY. AT THIS PRICE ITS WIERD TO EXPECT THE HANDLING AND RIDE QUALITY OF A DSG GEARBOX.
Final Word ITS REALLY A PLEASURE TO DRIVE THIS CAR IN CHATHANNOOR, KOLLAM, KERALA .THE BEST AUTOMATIC HATCH AT THIS PRICE. GOOD FUEL ECONOMY. GO FOR IT.

Pros Good mileage. You can expect between 14-18kmpl in city drive and 19-22kmpl in highways after driving 500kms.
Interior is spacious. Good for 4 people, fair for 5 people.
Exterior Looks good. Good for daily office commute and groceries. That’s it. Do not expect more.
Cons The main AMT controlling unit is the major concern. I had a terrible AMT failure on the 13th day(710km) after my purchase on July 15th 2017. Maruti replaced it free of cost.
If AMT fails, the car does not move after you stop since you cannot change the gear to N even if you are in Manual mode. In my case the it was lifted from the front. It can impact your front bumper.
The gear shift is terribly slow and sluggish. You have to be very tender in the accelerator pedal else it would be a considerable pressure on the AMT You will feel a sudden jerk. Hence acceleration in high traffic to change lanes should be avoided. Very bad.
Suddenly slowing down from a speed of 60and if it goes down below 50 for couple of seconds, the gear shifts to 4 from 5. Then again sluggishly it goes to 5. Very bad.
Verdict If you are an experienced driver, then avoid the AMT. Buy the manual version of the same model. If you are foreign return especially from USA, don’t worry learn driving the manual vehicles. If your car is driven by hired drivers avoid the AMT. They are not experienced to a delicate gear and acceleration system.
You only buy this AMT version if don’t have reflexes in bustling traffic, you are not confidant enough to drive on Indian roads or you are frugal in natureJ.
Final word A company like Maruti Suzuki with 55% market share should not try to win the competition with such kind of a sluggish AMT technology. May be 0.5% may had a AMT failure or malfunctioning still it needs to improve on that.

Exterior Exterior was excellent and attractive mine is red which looks very attractive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfort was good, it has more space and include all the security features and alarming functions. Good rear seat comfort .
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have an vxi amt model it's engine performance was good it is an fuel efficient car with avg more than 21.1 km and has automated and as well as manual gear box. Excellent fuel economy with comfortable ride.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride qua;ity was extremely good and handling can be done easily. It,s so simple to handle or control a car even at faster speed.
Final Words An excellent car with space , comfort, mileage , security, features , looks and design. Perfect car in hashback segment and a complete family car.
Areas of improvement If its length is reduced it would be more attractive and parking of celerio becomes easy. Maruti should also add some more colours in these variant.
