Exterior Nice looking car somewhat similar as elder brother of swift specially for lower segment, as the head lamp is standard but Alpha model looks superb mainly coz of projector head lamps & DRLs. Back look is also owesome. Alloy wheels looks very old & outdated, overall a good package compared to Jazz & Elite i20.
Interior Good & spacious interior except the plastic quality. Leg space & boot space is fantastic, bluetooth works superb, touch screen display also works well. Music system is okay types, not as good as i20.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performs well though I have not driven on highways yet. average fuel economy is 10 - 12 in city running. May get 17 - 18 on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is bit poor mainly due to very hard suspension. I dont understand why maruti has chosen such a hard suspension. Its worst than the swift. They says its a premium hatch back so it must give the comfort & not the jerks.
Breaks makes some weird noise in front wheels if applied suddenly in slow speed or if running at the speed of 70 - 80 kmph. The service centre techinician says its due to ABS which is indigestible. I have driven many hatch back & sedan with ABS facility available but havent faced any such issue.
Final Words Overall a good car as maruti products are easy to drive & maintain.
Areas of improvement SUSPENSION, SUSPENSION & SUSPENSION.

Its very stylish and you can feel the Liquid Flow. its a real european design and nice rear end.

Interior is Good, but plastic part should improve. Look spacious and feel roomy when you inside the car. Feel real pleasure while your in a driver seat.

Engine performance decent for a family hatchback and good fuel economy (17.8 Km/L) on both city and highway ride.

Areas of improvement
Interiors quality of plastics and colour (especially Black), if it is beige colour baleno looks more premium in its class. MSIL should open more nexa showrooms apart from the cities and they should also concentrate on 'B' grade cities/Towns, so that they will end up huge sales.

Exterior I just loved the car when i first looked at it. while purchsing this car i had 3 other cars shortlisted, namely grand i10, brio, swift. all these cars are excellent but what really made me to go for this car was its looks, that is before i took its test drive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is extreamly comfortable, to just give a perspective i feel more comfortable sitting in baleno than sitting in my 2014 honda city. it has excellent leg space, seats are broad and comfortable. has a powerful AC.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is probably the best car in this segment. i have taken this car to speeds of over 140kmph and the car remained stable and was in full control. i didnt feel even for a moment that i need to slow down (i.e. before a cattle came on the road). even when i put the brakes on in high speed the vehicle was in complete control. gear shift is very smooth. I am getting a fuel economy of around 16 kmpl in city and get around 20 kmpl on highways. in the pas 8 months that i have owned this car i have driven it for over 10000 KMs and find it to be worth every penny i have put on it.
Ride Quality & Handling It is an excellent ride. even at high speeds. has great control even while breaking at high speeds. high ground clearance lets me to take this to my farm house which is on a road full of big pot holes.
Final Words I would suggest everyone to atleast test drive it once before buying any other car. in this price range I don't think we can get a better car.
Areas of improvement The only thing I feel they can improve on is that the suspension is a bit hard which is excellent when i go for long drives and on roads full of pot holes but is not so comfortable for speed brakers in city.

Exterior Really different and catchy, fit and finish is also commendable. I took delivery on 6th Dec 2015 when Baleno was mearly 3 months old since launched and very few on road.
People use to stop and watch this Car and mostly appreciate this look and like this new model from Maruti after long time.
I have driven around 9000KM till date including few long drives, I enjoid it throughly but as mostly said SUSPENSION setup is really hard, Dont understand benifit out of it but surely it makes drive discomfort even on slightly bumpy roads else this Car is value for money and worth to buy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very specious along with all features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great Performance along with superb milage, Gear shifting is buttery smoth.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is good even at high speed but worst part of this Car is SUSPENSION- very stiff and uncomfortable.
Final Words Value for Money but it could have been better if Maruti fix the SUSPENSION Issue.

i drove Baleno delta 1.2 petrol from my native to chennai in the highway(450Km). after 300 KM i feel little unbalace while driving. then found out its because the tyre presser got increased from 30 to 36 (Note : i drove in the morning, so due to heat and 100 Km/h fast it might happend) so the stearing weel was not stable.
the car can't be controlled once you crossed 120 Km/h. there was a vibration in the streaing and the back sheet.
the back sheet is not at all comfertable for the passangers. head rest is not sutable.
i saw some wire cover got melted under fromt bonet due to engine heat.
Stearing will not come back to center if the the tyre presser is less then 30.
engine is not covered in the bottom. for tall drivers the center mirror will block the side view in the left turn.
does not feel like i bought a car that i wanted 😦

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality and handling in triple digit speeds. feels very stable and planted in high speeds irrespective of ots low cabin weight. its such a drivers delight.
Final Words An awsome package, value for money car in the petrol premium hatch segment. excellent package with features, value for money. Great road presence with styling. say no rumours , it has no suspension problems. Its the safest car, gud car for a middle class family with premium features and quality. no wonder why it crossed 1lakhs sales in just 10months with proud owners, people are ready to wait for it for even upto 6mnths, its shows how much good this car is. please dont lend your ears to rumours.

interior boot space is very good, rear sit not comfortable , if possible plz improve, when we drive car in rough road , there is jumping of rear passanger , and hight of rear roof is less , highted person is not comfortably sitting on rear sit.

good, i am geeting 20 km/lit. fuel economy after first servicing. i hope it will again increase after 2 nd and 3 rd servicing.

Plz drive car with maximum 100 km speed , because of light weight of baleno - instant breaking is dengerous in rough road. when i compaired with swift or dzire handeling is poor while breaking.

The exterior looks great but very poor quality plastic makes it a viable for many damages especially the front bumper.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior features, space and comfort are excellent but the glasses are of poor quality and reflecting when we drive in day light. The plastic quality even in the interior is also very poor.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is excellent but after the service, it has gone bad. Gear shift and fuel economy are excellent when we bought but after service it has become bad. After 3rd service the fuel economy has improved.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good but some times feels right shoulder pain in long drives due to poor arm rest.
Final Words Eelgant and excellent. Overall we feel owning like a big caaaaar. We always feel nice while driving the car.
Areas of improvement Plastic quality, service quality and viewability. The plastic quality I can say is worst ever I have seen. The arm rest for drive should need immediate improvement.

I got my Fire Red Baleno Alpha Diesel on 23rd June 2017 and I am writing this review after 6days of driving.
Exterior I went for alpha model because I liked its DRLs and the chrome finishes. The exterior of the car is undoubtedly awesome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Pros: Very Spacious... and comfortable. The Sound quality of the speakers (Comes with the car) is very very good.The top model comes with Suzuki Smart Play which will give you a premium feel.
Cons: Apple Carplay and MirrorLink is supported but no support for Android Auto... where IGNIS has this feature.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am from Kolkata and I got a mileage of 23.2 kmpl (highest) in city during in a high-moderate traffic condition. Mostly it is varying between 21 - 23 kmpl.
It's very easy to get the best mileage because the car guides you to drive with the perfect gears.
Ride Quality & Handling
Pros: Handling is very good. The balance of the car is truly awesome. The steering is very smooth.
Cons: The suspension is not good. Although it is good for me, because I used to drive Chevrolet Beat and it's suspension is so good that it used touch the surface of the bumpers. But Maruti knows the indian roads, so I think they have made the suspension so firm.
Final Words GO FOR BALENO. I did a lot of research before going for Baleno and I found it the best in the current market of its segment.
Areas of improvement Support of Android Auto because most of the people use Android.
