A fun to drive car

Exterior To be frank i didnt like this car when i first saw it bcos of the flat back. but my father was going to buy alto( not alto 800). then i started to do a study on marutis 1000cc cars(wagonR, estilo & A-star) compared to the first two i liked the A-stars look. then i learned it from various reviews that a-star is the best among the 3. So i persuaded my father somehow to buy this car, bcos i thought anyhow it will be better than wagonR and Zen Estilo.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Eventhough the back is little cramped the front seat is really spacious and good comfort for the front seat travellers. the back is okey only. the seating is really good. The AC i feel is good for normal use but cannot be compared with the i-10 bcos it has 1200cc engine.the head room is plenty and the front seats are bigger and confortable than i-10s. if u are a family of 4 then the cramped back seat is never going to be a pblm.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine  response is really nice bcos it is far better than alto(. guys who think that A-star is a modification of alto is wrong, u can feeel the difference when u drive it for a long time. The fuel economy in city will be only like 12-13(c'mon guys, u cannot expect more from a petrol car), but the highway mileage is the best u get marginally above 20 if u travel below 65kmph and 18-19kmpl when the speed is between 70-90kmph. I was extremely surprised with these figures and in spite of repeated checking I could find the same results. believing me guys the i-10 is a disastor in terms of mileage nd it reduces with age drastically.   i dont have any complaints with gearbox either.

Ride Quality & Handling If u are the one who drives the car in ur family more then u are gonna love this car for the excellent ride quality. the way it takes corner is wonderful. u dont even have to slow down, it takes turn nicely. i rate a-star even above swift in this regard.

Final Words If u are okey with the rear space and less boot space and if u want a car with decent mileage, extra-nice handling then go for A-star ar else go for i-10.
