Exterior Just perfect , I loved the design ,wheel arches, front grille, headlamp cluster, door handle style.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Central console is the USP, the color is awesome, very helpful n handy steering mounted controls, drivers arm rest with cooling box, useful space near gear lever, IRVM. Lounge lighting is soothing n feels great. Spaceis superb for 1st n 2nd row, bit cramped on 3rd row.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Real gem of all the engines, mileage power is just superb.Got 13.1 kmpl with 80% ac with first 300kms run.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is good handling is best in class. Maneuverability is impressive considering the size of the vehicle. No issues till now.
Final Words Worth what I have paid, jo regrets. Planning for this since its launch, but niggles n budget made me to wait. Its beyond my expectation(its subjective, as you all know) happy with my buy.
Areas of improvement Third row space, low beam lights should be improved. Brakingis good but noise should have been taken care.

Exterior Aboslutely love it in terms of looks, design and styling. When i bought the car and when there were not much of them around, made quite a few people turn their heads for a second and longer look. Love the day time LED lights, the front grill and the tail lights.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) As a person who loves driving, it is an absolute treat to step into the drivers seat.
Things I really love
1. Very comfortable seat with good thigh support. This is applicable for both the front and back seats. The last set of seats i really dont have much to describe as it has been used minimally and for very short distances.
2. Central Console - Love it. Vey easy to navigate and toggle between different functions and features. It has proven to be very reliable and now I cant think of driving a car which doesnt have similar features. I was very apprehensive when I bought it as it is completely touch screen, but I have been pleasently surprised how responsive it has been and have found no glitches so far.
3. GPS - Love the NAV system and execpt one time where it led me a bit astray (left me 500 mts before my destination), I blindly follow its directions and it has always taken me where I needed to go. I use this feature regularly for drving within the city and on the highway and it has been a charm and a relief. When I drove to Goa, i just typed in the resort I needed to go and it got me there perfectly. I didnt ask a living soul for directions for the full 630 kms. This may sound over the top, but when I didnt have this in my previous cars and I had to rely on google maps on my phone, it was a pain to navigate and I have been led astray a few times. So this means a lot to me.
4. Voice commands, bluetooth, Static bending lights, Climate control, storage space, Steering mounted controls, ABS&ESP, tiretronics alerts, rear parking sensors - Lot of features which are very useful in every day driving and make it very convenient.
Things that are OK.
1. Suspension - It is a bit stiff and over bad roads at good speed, can be a bit bumpy. As a driver, i dont mind it so much, but it can be a pain for others in the vehicle.
2. The lumbar support is just about ok, though I have to say I have tried this feature in many cars and was never able to find much difference or use.
3. The head rest is also just abpout par. But again it is an element which I have never completely liked in all my previous cars or any other car I have driven.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I get an average mileage of 12 kmpl after driving about 23,000 kms.
Pickup is amazing and though there is a slight lag sometimes when I move from 3rd to 4th gear at lower speeds, it is an absolute dream to be first at the signal and vrooom off once lights turn green. The DMF feature is not that great as some engine noise is audible in the cabin, which again is something I love to hear the engine grunting. Very easy to drive at low speeds within the city and navigate through the traffic and definitely a smooth and enjoyable drive at high speeds on the highway. I have driven at 140 kmph and i have found the vehcile willing to go faster though I wasnt, partly due to the brakes and partly due to expecting the unexpected on our highways.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is great, though I think Mahindra should look at increasing the wheelbase which I think will improve the ride quality further especially on bad roads at high speeds. Handling the vehicle is a dream through city traffic and parking at horribly small parking spaces at malls is made easy with the rear sensors.
I have read and heard about people having technical issues and service related issues, but I havent faced any serious problem (hope that it contibues). The one problem I had was the headlight bulb had to be replaced and when I informed my service rep @ Sireesh motors, he told me to come over at any time of my convenience and got it replaced in 10 mts at no cost. Also, both my paid and free service has been very efficient and pleasent experience. I have got my car back before the time and date committed and the bill has generally been lower than the initial estimate. Also, they have provided free checkups, car washes and wiper replacement as part of their own promotions and service recalls.
Final Words If you love SUVs and love driving and appreciate practical features, this is a no brainer. At the price that it is, it is real steal considering the features that are available and the driving pleasure that it provides.
Areas of improvement Brakes - Braking is a big letdown. With the power available, the brakes need to be much more sharper. It is very patchy and doesnt inspire confidence to drive at high speeds.

I bought xuv500 on 5th oct 2013.on 10th oct blower of aircondition was making noise.when informed to relationship manager he stated that he is in muzaffarpur and can do nothing.on contacting service centre of kiran automobiles patna they told that they have no staff and only after 15th they can do anything.on 15th they told that since service centre has no expert available today bring the vehicle on 16th.again on 16th they told to bring on 17th. on 17th when we visited service centre they asked us that blower is damaged and it may require replacement.they asked us to leave the vehicle and they will deliver it on 19th .see what happens on 19th.Hoping for the best.But now i have no faith on either company nor dealer/service centre.even customer care 18002096006 did not heped except that sending sms that my complt has been noted and gave ref no.I contacted customer care twice on 14th oct and 16th oct.
Final Words ---please,please ,please do not purchase mahendra vehicle.And if still want to buy at least do not take it from kiran automobiles patna.

Final Words:please dont use cheap chinese things ...or keep a lot in stock..becouse its routine now ..every now and then...this goes off and that goes down...pathetic car...
Areas of improvement:if u really want to improve...please get inside and start from anything..so much to do...in the first 500 kilometers the system showed a lot of errors which the dealer worked upon but after that he turned a dead ear ...he simply says yeh to chalta he rehta hai...choti se to baat hai...my previous experience with cars like hyundai verna and hyundai accent were amazing...the interior was rich and worked smoothly for 4 years straight(no problems)...

Exterior Overall a goodlooking car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features ok, cant build confidence to use these.

Ride Quality & Handling Useless suspension, noisy ride. no trust develops while driving this car , its always a risk and fear of something going bad on driving this thing.
Final Words If Big company like M&M with such a big R&D team cant correct the basic suspension of their one of the top end cars means they have failed and now owners and new buyers have to live with this flaw... suspension quality and performance is draging down the overalll grace of the car, which is not so bad otherwise.
I was trusting the company for last 6 months / 12000 kms , but failed, they can never correct this flaw. Visited Workshop for more than 15 times in last 6 months but result is ZERO.
Areas of improvement Only Suspension and noisy plastic interiors like vents and dashboard.

The design is the best indian car i have ever seen. It looks strongly built but overly designed.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The plastics are horrible in terms of clarity. The aircon isn't very powerful. The seats are of some synthetic leather that is not very good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The engine is the most powerful of indian SUVs. It accelerated from 0-100 in just 12.5 secs. It feels stable upto 13kmph after which it's not very rugged but still not too bad.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride is very bouncy. Handling is fine for an indian suv but a little rolly.
Final Words
The car is very good for the price. Provides the best performance for the price. Best features too i guess...
Areas of improvement
The plastic quality needs to be improved by a lot. The suspension needs to be improved. Aircon needs to be improved in terms of cooling and rear vents. The high speed stability needs to be improved.

Exterior I must say Mahindra have done a great job with this vehicle. I am bouwled over by the looks and is completely Indian. Proud of it. Bought on 13/7/2014.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lots of bits and spaces,a lot of thought put into the vehicle like the individual reading lights for all passengers, rear charging points, rear ac controls for the last row, cooled underarm storage space, even the vanity mirror on the passenger side has a slider which has an individual light for the ladies. Wow bowled over.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox A powerful 140 bhp quiet engine powers the cheetah inspired SUV.
Ride Quality & Handling Wish the suspension was a little better.But given the SUV character, its fine. Maybe an adjustable suspenson in the future XUVs Mahindra? I have driven the vehicle at 170 kmpl and it goes further but there are no roads and given the Indian traffic better not to venture higher. The XUV gives out a warning overspeed beep at 150 Kmpl. I am just loving the experience.
Final Words I have heard people just looking down on the vehicle without using it. God knows I havent found a single person recommending the XUV 500. The new XUV 500 has been revised after Nov 13 and is a complete trouble free vehicle my friends.I have a lot of inputs from friends in Mahindra. Look at it . How can't one appreciate this Global Indian SUV. I dont understand. A huge thumbs up for this giant of a SUV.
Instead of spending loads on a Audi,BMW or Merc and letting foreigners dwindle out of your hard earned money, I wish more perople appreciate companies like Mahindra to go the extra distance and built more Made in India super cars and vehicles. With it we grow.I am a completely satisfied customer.
Areas of improvement Negligible. U cant have it all . I love what they have done here.
One area might be more trailing at the ASS level. They need to be more polished and precise somewhere like Toyota. Way ahead compared to Tata anyways.

The Cheetah inspired XUV 5OO is a best looking SUV from front & side. But, somewhat the rear tailgate looks less impressive & I personally feel the styling from side has not carried over to tail appropriately. The cut & curves everywhere makes a bold style statement. The headlamps are mounted elegantly. The overall stance of XUV 500 is attractive & its indeed an eye catcher.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The Interior has lot to offer. Right from the speedometer to the air con controls in the 3rd row seats, there are plenty of features loaded in this Car. The steering controls, cruise control, blue tooth connectivity, rain sensing wipers, follow me & lead me to head lamps, dual gloves boxes, arm rest, chiller box, sun glass holder, conversation mirror, reading lamps, lounge lighting, cornering head lamps, auto door lock, cell chargers, tiltable steering, engine immobiliser etc all comes equipped. The Vehicle is spacious & driver seat position is situated high for a commanding view of the road. But, somewhat I am not very comfortable with the under thigh support of the driver seat. The ingress & egress to the Car is bit effortful due to its high seating. The Automatic AC does a good Job. 2nd Row A/C vents are placed on the B pillar, 3rd Row A/c has a separate compressor & chills quickly even before the 1st row A/C. The flat floor & the arm rest doesn’t intrude into the 2 row that helps the middle passenger to sit comfortably.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The mHawk 2.2 Lit engine is very powerful & torque-key, so the City drive and Highway drives are effortless. I drove up to 165 KMPH & the Car was stable, still some power was left in the engine, but the road condition was not favoring for more speed. The W6 doesnt come with ESP & thus one could feel body roll at sharp curves at greater speeds. The Handling of the Car is quite easy, steering is handy & responsive, one handed driving is quite possible in the City drives. The Fuel economy of the Car is not that great as what ARAI has certified (ie, 15.4 KMPL). I am getting an average of 10 KMPL in City & 12.5 KMPL on highways. I always like to speed & accelerate harshly & may be this could be the reason for less fuel economy. The Gear Box is cable operated & it is not so smooth. At times, it feels notchy. The gear ratios are placed perfectly.
Ride Quality & Handling
The Engine refinement is superb & you don’t feel the engine noise inside and well as the traffic noise. Well insulated. The ride is super smooth & silky on flat good roads. But, on bad roads, the ride is bouncy due to hard suspension. The suspension could have been bit soft. Handling of the vehicle is similar to a sedan car. One handed driving is quite possible in the city drives. Braking is not sharp, could have been better.
Final Words
The XUV 5OO is absolutely a VFM Car without any doubt. Its contemporary design, monocoque chassis, powerful engine, endless features, spacious cabin & a 7 seater at times all make this machine a best SUV in the Indian auto market. The cherry on the cake is its pricing. People contemplating to buy fortuner, audi, endeavor,yeti, pajero etc should take a serious look at this Car. You only get a foreign badge (ie, Status Symbol) for the more lacs you pay. XUV 5OO might have few niggles here & there, but, it is surely a more practical car for Indian conditions.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Unmatched and it is same to all higher variant, W6/8/ even 10. Once you buy the vehicle and park in your Apartment parking bay you will start loving this. Decently, in Show room, you will be more confuse. Delete always want to push W8. You will start loving your vehicle.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb Riding quality. You will notice you will get due respect by other sedan and hatch back car on street.
Final Words W4 is Appropriate price by performance. Specially those who is planning to migrate from Hatch Back (Wagon R / I10) Those already tried and tested SUVs, must ho Top Model.
Areas of improvement Interior for W4, Seat Cover and Infotainment System. Just compared with newly launched Enova and you will find the difference.

I bought a mahindra XUV 500 W10 model and just drove 4500km. when I gave for service the service persons said that clutch pad issue and said me to pay RS. 25000 for replacing it. When i said for warrenty they said its not applicable for clutch and break. I said the sale person said I have warrenty for all parts and sold me and now you people are saying this.
I asked them that is this only the quality of high end car which last for 4500km and those idiots didt reply for that and were just saying 1 thing no warrenty and driver issue.
I have a question that how does best quality just last just for 4500km? Even the worst car have more capability when the worst driver also drives it. and the service person also dont know to behave with customer. How stupid people they are when they say best quality last long and never accept their mistake. Having bad experience with mahindra car.
