மஹிந்திரா kuv100 [2016-2017] யூசர் ரிவ்யுஸ்

I am writing this review after 1.5 years and completing 15k kms. To be short and crisp to the point, If you want a stylish, SUV like hatchback just go for it, but if you are very concerned about the mileage and performance, pleae don't choose this car.

I am owning K8 Petrol variant. Initially it was giving 8-9 kms in City and 10-11 kms in highway upto 1st service. Now after the 3rd service, even if we drive the car with mileage consciousness, by maintaining the Car AC in a standard mode, by maintaining the Speed, by checking the type pressure everytime when I take for a long drive, I could able to achieve 10-11 kms in city and 11-12 kms in highway.

The company claimed mileage was 18kmpl. But my expectation was atleast it should give 15kms. But it can give only 11-12 kms. Mahindra gave a software update fix which is of no use, and if we complain regarding mileage issue to the service center guy, he will simply say that is our driving fault.

The company is not ready to accept that it is their fault and they are blaming our driving style which is ridiculous. Now I am willing to sell my car, but no one will be ready to take it due to its very poor mileage. I lost my hard earled money.

Exterior Ffront styling is good dlrs look good like a premium car. personally speaking im happy with the exteriors that is the reason why i bought the car in the first place.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Satisfactory with given price index nothing much to be excited about. mood lamps are good addition.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is the crux of every car  on which i missed out i think.  3 cylinder engine is noisy and full of vibrations fuel economy is low although its too early to say as ive driven for 1500 km. seems like not going to go north further than 11 to 12 kmpl. the gear box is also clumsy third gear slot is a big problem. honestly i expected a lot more from mahindra.

Ride Quality & Handling Maneuverability is an issue in this car.

Final Word Its a heavy truck in the guise of so called compact SUV.

Areas of improvement Engine being noisy is acceptable being a 3 cylinder motor but should have been less jerkier going with mahindras image.

Exterior Sports look,look stylish and it suits much for the college students like me as we love SUVs.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious, cool interior I can eaisly put 7 people in my car without any discomfort  and the features inside is just superrr! I have finshed driving 7000kms and I brought this car on 4th April 2016. I just love the car and I took this car after rejecting Ford ecosports and I am sure that I made a ryt choice.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The power of the car is excellent and I have reached a speed of 160 many a Times.  Millage is quit a bit less I get 8to9 kmpl in city and 10to12 in highway, I think anything near 15kmpl is a best millage for this car because remember it is a Suv and gear shifting is classic because it won't  allow I do take the hand from it.

Ride Quality & Handling When riding this car I never feel tired as I drove about 700 km in a single day,and remember this car is very safe as it has abs ebd and many more and you can come to no how safe this car is  When driving it.a.

Final Words it's a best car for suv love're  and people who thing about  millage and maintaince please go to maruthi suzuki or any other brand. as mahindra is a brand  for  SUVs  and mahindra is a company which Care's more to performance and its know for its power.

Areas of improvement Nothing.

Exterior design is really really good and definitely a head turner

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - Interior is good but can be improved. Buttons seems to be plasicky --need improvement.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - Gearbox is very smooth though I had not expected it!! ESS is good option and engine is really smooth. Car easily goes over bad roads without jerks and is too smooth compared to Maruti Swift.

Ride Quality & Handling - Ride quality is very good and handling is also commendable. But few improvements needed to match Swift and i20.

Final Words - this is really a cool car!!! Head Turner for sure!!! with good performance, space

Areas of improvement  If the length of the car is slightly increased then the looks will be very nice and add to more boot space. Tyres are small and 16" would really look better. Improvement in colour qulity and interior needed. AMT option should in future would make it the best!!!

After a regular usage of this car, i am writing this review. In first look and ride we could not judge everything. Being a user of car for a long time you will come to know good/bad aspects of a car.

Exterior

The front of the car has very aggressive styling. But in my point of view the styling is over done in many of the areas. Being a very small in car in its segment (in terms of length), Mahindra has given lot of style curves to the body. When I look both front and rear separately it looks ok. But it has poor overall design when look as a complete car.

 Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

One good point is mahindra has done good job of managing interior space well to provide good storage locations. The rear boot space looks higher only on paper, But in real while keep using I felt the space and dimension of luggage compartment is not adequate. It is also very similar to Beat. You cant even keep a big suitcase. Rear seat also suffers interms of space for 3 peoples, it is common in most of the hatchbacks, But still comparing to old Figo,i20 it is a problem.

The car lacks in many features with  latest models, even top end modesl dont have keyless entry,No automatic AC control,No touch screen for audio,no express up/down for powoer windowsetc., The plastic quality also is not at par with other models.

The dashboard look/design is not attractive when I go on day to day usage.
The driver seat and co-driver seat is comfortable. It is good that at least we have height adjustment. But Mahindra also did same mistake what datsun GO did, There is no real very good reason/usage of six seater. I never had a sixth person in my car.Also it is dangerous to have sixth person in front row. Since it reduce my driving comfort also there is no safety.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

The new petrol engine has very good power and pulling capacity in highways and hilly areas. But i think it is not tuned well to adopt, I am getting very poor mileage even in highways. Hardly ~10kmpl😢.  The gear shift/handling also I feel hard compared to my previous car (Figo). Since still Mahindra made this a very rough type since it is an UV.

Ride Quality & Handling

The power steering is not adopting well at high speeds, I am still not getting good confident at high speeds. Being tall boy design and short wheel base I feel danger at high speeds. luckly Mahindra offered ABS in all models. I think this is the reason.

Final Words

In present market condition we have very good other models at the same price with lots of features with proven design.
