Ride Quality & Handling
Here i felt very bad about new verna. This verna looking sporty but,really not built for it. Too soft rear suspension. At high speed the car gets bounce a lot sometimes out of control. It has power to roar upto 200 Km/Hr speed. But, with the suspension this car really not built for the high speed. At high speed if it hits a small bump it bounces really hard and you will lose control over the vehicle. At times you feel hope less. I experienced more often with this car. Couple of time at lower speed say around 50 Km/Hr it hits a hump and no reason it bouces up and down and went mad. And another incident with the speed of 150 Km/Hr it hits a small bumb and oscillates heaviely and luckily we had a control over the vehicle and bring back it to track. Need to be safe only with the bump. If no bump means you can rely this car. Since, the rear suspension is too soft. Poor suspension design.
Final Words
Overall good mleage, sporty and stunning look and value for money not built for high speed because of the poor suspension system in rear
Areas of improvement
poor suspension system in rear and must be stable at higher speed. This car giving up safety at higher speed say above 120 Km/Hr

Exterior
Love the style and looks. Hyundai has made a class of it's own in the segement. Makes a "WOW" statement whenever friends come around it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Very smart dashboard and interiors. Space is very good. The backseat could have been better for 3 adults by not keeping the "rise" in the middle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Seems to be giving very good performance. Good power, great acceleration. Low noise considering this is a diesel vehicle. Just 6 months using it.. hopfully will stay at this level or better =o)
Real time fuel mileage really makes a difference around optimizing driving habits.
Ride Quality & Handling
Overall very good ride quality except for the strange knock when rides over pot holes at 20 kmph + speeds at times.
Final Words
Very happy with the buy till now. Hyundai after sales service is extremely good, hands down.
Areas of improvement
At this point only the following comes to mind around "improvement areas"
1) The "knock" sound when driving over pot holes at speeds around 20 kmph plus speeds.
2) The backseat could have been better for 3 adults by not keeping the "rise" in the middle.

Exterior As a design on the exterior front Hyundai has done a better job. No doubt the first version was also nice for its looks/ The fluidic seems ergonomically designed.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good space on the dashboard though nothing can be kept on it as its a sliding one. I have a habbit of stocking things on the dashboard 😊 Features are great with integrated remote on steering wheels, bluetooth, music system with decent speakers. the only thing it lacks is a preamp out. I was having a JBL amp and woofer which cannot be fixed as it does not have preamp out. There are ways to connect it but seems its safer not to touch the electricals of the new car.
Comfort: Its quite comfortable while driving. Except that the car can only have maximum 4 people and not 5. The rear seats are meant for 2 people only. the center seat is very uncomfortable and pokey. Nevertheless the other 2 can sit properly. The seats are low and havent tried sitting back for a long time since I am driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine Performance: Not gone beyond 120 km/hr for more than 5 mins so cannot comment much. Seems to be a good one. Heard complaints that at 100 km/hr it just vibrates but I didnt find any of them.
Fuel Economy: Since its hardly 15 day I have driven not more than 800 kms. But experienced the Mumbai traffic in the recent rain affected week and also Mumbai Pune Express highway. The fuel economy was 12-13 kmpl in the city during heavy traffic and around 18 kmpl on the highway. Seems to be fine. Not to forget the AC is always on and kept on 24 degrees.
Gearbox: Better when it comes to my old car which was Santro. Although having 7 gears it is not difficult. Except for the fact you have remember to pull the lever for reverse. Remember one thing while you are asking for valet parking the gear indications will have to be told. Or else he will trying to take on the reverse with the 6th gear 😉
Ride Quality & Handling Ride wise was very smooth. Handling cannot be commented as I am very new to it.
Final Words Overall a good experience.
Areas of improvement Need good spoilers to make it look more sporty. Rework on the height and design of the seat which can accomodate 5 people. Head rest should be provided. Shoulders ache for a while.

Exterior Simply killer looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Amazing interiors. The new EX version is more loaded with features that were earlier availavle in SX. Good leg space for Tall drivers along with enough head room. Space at the rear is also very comfortable. Excellent upholstry and dashboard. Verna simply has that completeness in its interiors. Audio system is simply amazing. The steering controls comes quite handy during the city drive. Best feature is that one can configure its phone to the audio system thru blutooth and attend to phone calls which has the call start and end feature on the steering.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very silent and responsive. It picks up speed the moment you hit the accelerator. I have driven this car for approx 2600 kms and the current fuel economy is 16.1 km/L. Gear box is as smoooth as it could ever be. Have touched the top speed of 190 km/Hr and still the engine was craving for more. But the twists and turns of the Indian roads did not allow me to go any further.
Ride Quality & Handling Absolutely no issues with handling of the car. Very smooth drive. Even the potholes do not make much of an impact if driven over them. Smooth steering. Before i bought this car, i read a lot of reviews about the steering being light and it was dangereous at high speed on highways. Found no such issue. As mentioned, touched 190 kms/hr and the steering and complete car handling was excellent. No wobbling observed at any speed till 190 kms/hr.
Final Words A MUST BUY Car for people who are looking at Comfort, Eligence, and Power.
Areas of improvement I could not find any so far.

REVIEW PART- I
Hi,
I am Rajesh from Hyderabad. This is my second car and first sedan, I initially had a budget range of 8-9 lakh and started scouting for my new ride. I had test drove almost all the available cars in this segment- vento, rapid, fiesta(i liked the classic better than the new one), honda city, sx4 and the like. My dad was stuck on only a diesel car and thus ruled out the city although its a great car.
I first drove the skoda rapid but was taken back after my uncle insisted as it would be a white elephant later on coz of the post sale service and spares.
I had to drop off the volkswagen vento as it was quite dull on the features list vis-a-vis the verna at the same price and then the sx4 was actually a good package sans the 1.4 litre engine, major plus was that the sales guy was offering a good amount of discounts etc and also it had the added advantage of cheaper spares and service later on compared to others in the fray.
In the mean while when my budget was only 8 lakh range, at one point of time, I had shortlisted on the hyundai i20 which was an equally amazing car in engine(mind you, it was a six geared beast), looks, comfort and zillions of features and even booked one.
But the turn came when the rapid guy was bombarding me with disocunts n stuff (i believe they were promised heavy commision on these vehicles) and he brainwashed me about the heavily priced i20 and insistedly me to go for a sedan with little more budget, then i fell in dilemma again and after a lot of discussions with my friends and parents, I had shortlisted the hyundai verna and was now in a quandary to go for the SX or EX, which eventually i choose the EX (although theres never a moment i dont regret buying SX for those classy alloys, an additonal airbag, foldable mirrors etc) for its price lesser by 55k in order to fit it into my already overstreched budget.
Finally I got my darling home from lakshmi hyundai, kukatpally , hyderabad. Speaking of the dealer, I have no qualms as such, but he neither offered me any discounts too, his standard answer was that theres already a waiting period and all he could do is to deliver the vehicle in 10 days. Now lets go into the specs n others:
Exterior The car is undoubtedly the best looking in its class currently. Its greatly styled with good detailing into finer aspects. The front and rear looks are equally gorgeous.
The negatives are that its ground clearance is too low and with full load of 4 pasengers it sure to kiss these hyderabadi bumpers (although now i manage to be extra careful when navigating these).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The verna is definitely a drivers car, its got the best front seat comfort and control. The 2 best features I like are the bluetooth phone connectivity and rear view camera n parking sensors. With the traffic cops waiting all the time for cell phone driving, the bluetooth has brought a whiff of fresh breeze into drving experience, the first thing i do as soon i enter into my car is to plug the phone into charger and switch on the bluetooth which gets connected automatically to cars audio and voila my phone in my hands.
The reverse parking sensors and camera are even better, though my excitement is partly because i never experienced this feature before. With these reverse parking has been butter. I could almost park my vehicle with precision of an inch too :):) and ya i have seen the aftermarket reverse cam n sensors, believe me they are no match to the clarity of the unique inbuilt mirror cam, which i think is a patented feature of hyundai as i have not seen it in any brand yet.
Then comes the steering mounted audio controls which are my third best feauture. Then there are loads of features like space for bottle storage, arm rest storage, foldable key, rear seat arm rest etc
It has almost all the features u need. I would be happy if it had auto headlamps and auto wipers and i see that the chrome content and the omph is certainly more in the i20 interiors (may be to compensate its premium pricing in the segment). As soon as I bought the verna EX, I immediately ordered for a chrome leather gear knob. But it was a rigmarole for me to finally get it, I had to call the trivandrum hyundai and get the part number and take it to hyderabad showroom and order the part and it arrived in 15 days, I would have helped me if the staff showed some seriousness. Initally they brought the same gear knob and then I explained them clearly about the chrome gear knob I was expecting. Then finally the beauty arrived for around 750 Rs. although for the fitting they again told me the usual reasons that it would take half a day, need for job card etc etc and after some pestering I got it fitted within an hour.
The boot space is also immense but dont try on to bring heavy loads for 70 kgs etc as the suspension is a bit weak and would sweak at times.

We have travelled about 2300 km in verna 1.4 vtvt. Speaking of looks this car has the best in class looks for an affordable price. It has an amazing performance packing 107 bhp engine in the front. We traveled from Hyderabad to bangalore on 25/10/2014(I.e. The first day of our trip). The average speed of the car was 140 km/hr. The top speed of this car driven by me was 180 km/hr.Now those who say this car cannot go beyond 130 please turn off the Eco mode and feel the punch in the engine.
Speaking of comfort, having travelled for 2300 km we did not have any back pain. this car is extremely confortable and has an amazing sound proof cabin. the suspension in this car is good but not superb as they perform extremely well on low speeds and perform moderately on high speeds.
handling in vernal is better but not the best when compared to another competitors. We wish we had better handling when traveling in the ghat roads. we had a tough time when traveling from Hassan to mangalore in NH 48. The reason may be because we travelled at night.
music system in Vern's is better but not the best. I installed a pair of Polk audio component speaker to increase the output and yes it did work. These speakers work great and has good output.
Air conditioner in vernal is one of the best. In a hot sunny day the cabin gets cooled in 90 to 120 seconds.
At last I would like to conclude by saying that that vernal is feature packed car with awesome car with amazing performance, very good suspension and has better handling.

After going thru your reviews & some extensive research I took this beast (Hyundai Verna VGT SX).
My Buying experience in short:
First impression is the best impression. Honda city, New Fiesta, Linea, SX4 & Optra gave a good impression at first sight. But Somehow Verna didn’t give me a good first impression. When I took some time to decide & after couple of test drives & after comparing features in detail, I found Verna is the best.
You get alloys, automatic AC, rear wheel disc brakes with ABS, decent Music system, good power & spacious. I feel only Leather seats are lacking for this car.
When compared to New Honda city, New Fiesta(D), Linea(D), SX4 & Optra(D). New Verna averages high, over all Verna is value for money.
My feedback:
Just completed my first service. Looks like my engine is freed up, able to feel the power of Verna.
I found following difference between the old & new Verna. Power is slightly less than old Verna (compared to test drive vehicle) looks like engine is tuned differently. I am not seeing Turbo Lag (this is good news) looks like VGT is tuned better. Music system is better than earlier, It could have been better. With new music system dash board looks very nice, mainly when head lights are switched on. Auto AC is excellent.
Maintaining interiors is tough (gets stained & scratched very easily), but looks nice when it is clean.
After driving Santro for 7 long years, it took some time to get used to Verna. Now I feel confident & able drive easily.

This is writing for all of you who wants or desire to have purchase any vehicle of Hyundai. I have very bitter experiences of Hyundai Vehicles. I purchased Auto I 10 for my sister, after one month the steering became hard and some problem with sparking plugs. I reported to service center Down Town Vadodara (six months before). No improvement was done. Only sparking plug was replaced. I spoke to them they say we have rectified the problem. Then I approved there service engineer based Ahmedabad. He assured me that I will arrange pick your vehicle from your residence, but as of now no one has come. 2. I purchased Verna seven months before from beginning I am facing problem with brakes. I met to small accident because same reason. I followed same procedure regarding service no one paid attention. Now situation has come that both vehicles are lying at my home. I have decided to come court now because I have spend 17 lacs on vehicles. I am middle class guy this money matter. I have decided to court now. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Within 1 month of purchase, the car started giving all sorts of vibraotory (resonance) noise. There were 3-4 problems detected.
1. One washer in gearbox was broken. Hence could not shift from 3rd to 2nd gear easily.
2. The LH A pillar made abnormal "kat-kat" sound. The problem detected was - "a spot weld" been broken!
3. The LH AC duct blower resonated at 1500 rpm. It gave a funny noise at that engine speed. A washer was added to the blower spindle to fix the problem.
4. The coin box resonated at a certain frequency and produced noise. It was fixed by applying an adhesive tape.
5. There is a fluttering sound under steering wheel that comes while driving uphill. No solution has been found so far!
In general, the cab noise make the vehicle ride full of discomfort.
Ride Quality & Handling The dealer's service (m/s Kothari Hyundai @ Tilak Road, Pune) has been pathetic! They never get back to you although promise a lot! The RC/TC had a wrong address printed by their mistake - even the car model was wrongly printed! The corrected RC/TC took 5 months to be delivered - that too with "n" number of reminder calls!
Final Words DO NOT BUY VERNA OR THE LATEST TRANSFORM MODEL!!!
