It took me almost 6 months to research a whole range of hatchbacks.Reports suggested i20 to be lacking in power and less fuel efficient compared to Ritz or fabia. But the style and driveability was a compelling reason for me to buy i20.But now after having used the machine for 1200kms I realise that the fears about power and mileage were misplaced. In the 4 tank fulls that I have done so far( after tank reaching 50% mark) I have consistently got more than 15kms a litre. The power although not meant for racing is more than adequate for city and highway driving. Each day I drive 60 kms to and fro to Gurgaon from delhi. The seats and position offer flexiblility and comfort generally not seen in most other hatchbacks.Another striking observation is regarding the engine compartment which does not get dirty even after driving in dusty tracks- thanks to the excellent sealing under the hood. This is my first Hyundai car, hence cannot comment on the reliability and after sales. On the price front alththough I feel Hyundai could have kept the price 50thousand cheaper which could be the reason for not seeing many i20s on the road..But on the whole, I feel i20 is an excellent car and am enjoying every bit of it.good fuel economy, fully loaded with features, good driveability, excellent fit and finishlittle pricey, should have been 50k cheaper
