Very poor reliability, Starting problem, newly introduced immobiliser system failure, remain 11 days in service station in first month of purchase, spares not available easily, poor service support, poor sales dealing, No alternate car was given while car was in service station for technical fault repair. While driving on highways always remain in a fear when this car will breakdown.
I purchased my I10 megna car on 08.10.2009 from Joshi Hyundai, Mohali which has a poor sales service.
After running 709 km on 14.10.2009 afternoon in Mohali my car was unable to start and I called the Joshi Hyundai, Mohali service center which was 3 km from that site. After one hour two mechanics reached the site and tried for more than one hour to start the vehicle but were unable to do the job and then they toed the car to their service station. The next day (15.10.2009) I visited the service station and my car was delivered in the evening vide Repair order No. R200907929 and the GM(service) told me that it was detected some fault in immobiliser system and they have teached the key and have done extensive checkup, and assured that in future this problem will not happen.
After running 1515 km, on 03.11.2009 I visited Fortis Hospital, Mohali with a patient in my car and car was again unable to start in the hospital parking and problem looked liked the previous breakdown. I informed Joshi Hyundai, service center Mohali which was 6 km from that site and after more than one hour two mechanics reached the site, they tried to diagnose the problem for one hour and finally decided to toe the vehicle to their workshop. Keeping in view the harassment caused to the patient for two hours due to car breakdown, on my request they dropped me to Chandigarh Sector 34 hospital where I had next appointment for the patient. From there I reached my residence in Panchkula (17Km) by hiring a private vehicle as the service center had not given me any alternate vehicle. The vehicle was kept in service station for one full week and the same immobiliser problem was diagnosed and I was told that they are not getting the spares from the Hyundai company. On 09.11.2009 the car was handed over to me with a note from GM(service) that they will replace the part when received (expected date 14.11.2009) vide Repair Order No. R200908412.
On 14.11.2009 my car was again taken to the workshop in Mohali and on 15.12.2009 afternoon it was dropped at my residence in Panchkula, and I was told that the complete lock set was changed and they have done extensive checkup and assured that in future immobiliser/starting problem will not happen.
Sometimes the car fails to start with original key set and the original keys were not recognised by the immobiliser system. It seems that there is a bug in immobiliser system design which needs to be rectified.
As I have no alternative car, I am using this car for traveling long distances and always drive with a fear in my mind as the reliability of the car is very doubtful and always pray to God when I start it after a stop.

Great Interiors in all respect, space. Good height makes it very easy to step in and out.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
One month since I brought this and its giving me 12.8 km/l in city (Mumbai) driving with 70% AC usage in rainy season. I am quite impressed with this and am hoping it should notch up a little more after the first service.
I am using System G Fuel additive from day 1, though.
Gear shift appears to be a little stiff but I can wait for it to improve especially in a new car.
I miss the Intermediate mode of wiper speed especially since I have brought it during the Mumbai monsoon. Have to do with the manual whip wash instead.

Easy steering, very good pick up, fun to drive.

Happy with my right decision.

Dealership! After my experience of Maruti and Honda, I feel Hyundai has a long way to catch up with the kind of Sales service provided by others. I hope though their after sales service is as good if not better.

Exterior My silver looks bigger somehow than the darker colors. syling is great in the same range of cars. I hate the Figo looks. The indicator lights on the mirrors look great. I have seen the car in a while color as well. looks stunning. its cute, compact and just feels nice.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The rear space could have been a tab more better with more leg space. Its a pleasure to be in the driver's seat though. Very silent and smooth.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth gear transition so far, engine really performs at high gears.
Ride Quality & Handling very very ideal for city driving especially in cities like bangalore.
Final Words Go for this car, if you have more money, go for the Asta... its LOADED. Look for the best deals and dealers in your city to bargain for better accessories.

Exteriors & Interiors (perception) Interior gadgets are up to date with soft touch, rear passenger legroom is cramped. AC could have been better.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy is at 11.5 KMPL (City & Highway Combined) with AC always ON. (6/10), Automatic gear box is cool with instant overdrive function (8/10).
Ride Quality & Handling EPS handles well. Expect Body roll while cornering at high speeds. Straight line Braking was a little disconcerting. (7/10).
Final Words A good car to own and drive in city. Value for money when compared against the competition
Areas of improvement AC, braking, rear passenger legroom and fuel efficiency, High driving position, ride is plush on ‘Indian Roads’, good suspension. Stable at straight line speeds of 100 KMPH (8/10), Engine is peppy, city driving is very pleasant thanks to the Automatic gears (8.5/10). Highway driving is decent (7/10). Exteriors are modern and design is very functional.

I was planning to change my old Maruti 800 AC car to new car from almost an year. With a few limitations (limited budget, less parking space, congested streets & heavy traffic on Delhi roads), i had made up my mind for another small car with more feature, comfort & better performance. Moreover, I commute to office by my office cab. Diesel car was never in my options as well. I have also read in one of article that if your monthly drive is less than 1500 kms, then one should not go for Diesel car.
So, finally I shortlisted Maruti WagonR 1.0 Vxi, Maruti Swift Vxi & Hyundai i10 Sportz.
I took TD for Maruti WagonR & Swift Vxi at D.D. Motors, Mayapuri. New WagonR failed to convince me, my wife & father. Moreover, it's shape was also not very attractive to us. Gear box was too hard (as compare to Swift), space between front seat was also not much (as compare to my old Maruti 800). However, engine was more refined than older one (have driven my friend's old WagonR 1.1L) but not as responsive as Swift or i10 (reason might be it had 1L as compare to 1.2L). A/C was also not very effective. Overall, we didn't like it that much to have it our next new car.
Swift had some pros Space, performance, Very good AC & some cons outdated avg looks, very common on roads, No Music System, long waiting of 3 months.
Then we took new Hyundai i10 TD, the features, styling & performance of this car impressed us on the very first meet.
We got my new Hyundai i10 Sportz on 6th Jan 2011, done 1st service & drove almost 2000 kms (Apr 22nd 11).
Exterior The car has a fresh look (like aerodynamic design, new radiator grill, new head lamps, sporty front bumpers & centre antenna). It has some premium car features which is first time in small car like Body coloured waistline moudling, Turn indicators on Outside body coloured mirrors,electrically adjustable & heated outside mirror (for those rainy season). Rear defrogger with Wiper, High mounted bumper & double lamp tail light for better safety (during rainy & night time), rear spoiler (for sporty looks & high mounted stop lamp).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Central console mounted gear lever is a big plus during long drives. New dual tone beige & brown interiors have removed the complaints of sun light reflection. Performance of Integrated music system is also quite good & it's blue light is really cool during night. Gear Shift Indicators is also a new & first time feature in small car & very useful to get better fuel economy.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is as smooth as silk, I have already touched 125 km/hr couple of times on Delhi Gurgaon express highway but never felt short of power during overtaking with AC on. Cabin is also very silent. One need only a finger push to change gears. Braking is also quite good & might got improved with wider tyres which I'm planning to switch in near future. Currently, I'm getting 12-13 kmpl with (90%) AC on. Service centre guy told me that mileage will further improve after 2nd service which is due in first week of Jul '11.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is quite good & comfortable. Handling quite good. May be upgrading to Motor assited power steering from Old Cable assisted one.
Final Words I'm very happy & fully satisfied with performance of my car & proud to own it.
Areas of improvement Bigger & Wider Tyres + Alloy wheels + Front Fog lamps should come as standard fitments in Sportz variant.

Exterior cool exteriors including the sophisticated headlights to the cute tail lights,gud lukin bumper and the qualityis just superfine.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Beige interiors for luxurious look, lots of space a perfect 5 seater and ofcouse d i shaped gear very comfortable seats having good amounnt of legroom and headroom perfect for long drives.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good engine performance, gear shift no problem in handling d car. gives a 12 kmpl on city road which people say that im not satisfied with 12 but u cant really ask for more in city, no car in this segment can give more to b honest. A CAR WITH GR8 PERFORMANCE AN ACTUAL VALUE FOR MONEY.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ridind,perfect handling,no problem at all KIND OF A CAR BETTER THAN SWIFT Final Words. Drive it to believe it and buy with ur eyes closed.!! ITZZ A MUST BUY.
Areas of improvement The quality of d plastic used around the music player could have been better.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good but less comfort as while driving, visiblity is not so clear due front glass reflection due to biege interior.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good engine performance but very bad fuel economy as I got only 9 km/lit even after 1.5 year. I complain at every service for the fuel economy but they are not able to improve, so i have to go for CNG kit in which I got 14km/Kg which is very low in compare to other brand of 1.2l engine. So kindly any body is planning to purchase AT version than running cost will be too expensive and day by day it will be extra burden to you as pertrol is going costlier.
Ride Quality & Handling Driving with AT version gives mental satisfaction and also gives comfort in heavy traffic at the cost of fuel efficiency.
Final Words Better to go for any diesel version or if intrested in AT version than confirm the Gear system whether it is 4 or 5 which makes more difference in mileage.
Areas of improvement Only 4 auto gears are there in AT 1.2 instead of 5 in manual which lowers the fuel efficiency.

Exterior Great styling from hyundai,the shape of this car makes it accidental free, Far more better than other car in its segment its just like a small fluidic..as it gives the feeling of sedan from inside.sound proof mirrors make the cabin of the car sound free which makes you tension free during the traffic. altogether its the car in which the sporty looks meet the luxury inside. you should think hundred times before thing about any other brand than hyundai.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The new kappa engine provides good stability on india roads,, u can depend upon this car on long drives.one more good thing is that, that there is no sound of engine in the cabin.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth drivig with i10 on indian roads where brakes are used more than the accelaration. handling is also satisfying.

Exterior It looks good,especially from the front.the new grill is excellent.more over, that turn indicator on the rearview mirrors seems double ok.from the sides its look like a small car.but remember its a hatchback only.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I would like to say its outstanding,the quality of the material used in this is similar to my toyota camry in kuwait.the dashboard is awsome,looks like a new premium car.i think many of the car companies considered india as a 3rd class country when i see the interiors of other hatchbacks.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox About mileage,it gives me around 15-17km/lt in india(kerala).some says , they are getting 8km,9km like that.i think either they dont know driving or they dont have any idea about the car or may be they are the dealers of other companes !!!!!!!!!.The only bad thing i felt is the power of the 3rd gear.its not good enough.the company should try to resolve it.gear shifts are really comfortable.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent except when you go over 120km/hr.

Exterior I wanted to buy an hatch back and never wanted Santro. a pig! For i10 they completely removed the piggy look and it looks very stylish. Though there is limited choice in colours.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Beige colour stands this vehicle apart from every one. Perfect car in hatch back segment at a price. Apart from wiper there nothing should be a reason for complaint. i10 doors are so smooth; you wont get such a perfection of fabrication in any other car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very smooth gear shift. Perfectly tuned engine at 1100 cc. Practical fuel economy I am still getting - 17kmpl - free way driving at average speed of 100km/hr with AC full time on. City driving is 14 kmpl again with AC on.
Ride Quality & Handling i10 is not a car. it is horse in terms of power. Handling is MASKA!!
Final Words Do not look at a difference of Rs. 15 - 20,000 where i10 might sound expensive. It will give full value for money. Few complain that there is no factory fitted music system in i10. come on you are buying a car not a music gadget. right??
Areas of improvement Front and rear wiper.
