I am here for the first time posting review on my new GETZ Prime. I purchased it last October 2007. These are my views,
Interiors & Exteriors: Felt good with beige color inside and Golden Earth out side. More to that it is spacious with respect to seating and could accommodate almost anything that could you normally carry.
Mileage: On highway got up to 19 kmph and city limits around 14 kmph with controlled use of AC.
Just an update...Though I am not finicky but since I have spent a big buck I checked the milage for last 3 months. Here is the out come (approx figures) I took these readings at half tank usage after filling the tank full. Instead of 22.5Ltr I calculated by 24Ltr

Performance: I guess every one is troubled with AC in 1.1L engine and it is the same with me. Otherwise the power is admirable. I drove Alto and Palio it stand no comparison in this segment. The vehicle was very stable at 130 km/h speed!
Seating & Driving comfort: For sure I enjoyed and the passengers too including my brother-in-law who is 6 feet tall.
No Noise: While the vehicle is not moving you can hardly hear the engine noise when it is on! And you got to check whether it is on many times!
Features: The best of all you can get but more important is the space that you can make use of including the adjustable seats
CONS
For the same price they could have come with tubeless tiers or ABS or Airbags that could have added to safety.

Hi all, I own the GETZ Prime 1.3 GVS. This review is after driving it for 2 years & clocked 30000 KM.
Exterior Exterior Looks are superb. I own a red color & had found people going for the same shade of red in other cars. Red suits the GETZ the BEST.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior dash board is well designed & gives an impression of driving big car. Though the rear seat is for 3 people, 4 persons of average human size can sit comfortably.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Though the dealer has informed me that i get a milage of 9KmPL in city drive, but right from day one to till date i get the milage of 13.5 KMPL on continuous A.C. The Gear shift is at its best when compared to any other car in its category, guess the reason being its exported the Europe even till date. This has the highest of the engine capacity of 1345CC where no other car has in its category in INDIA.
Ride Quality & Handling The handling of the car is super even at a speed of 125km. The quality of the drive is also very impressive on long runs.
Final Words Has the capability to be one among the best cars in its category but sadly phased out by Hyundai.
Areas of improvement Nothing to improve as it is already phased out of the market now.

Exterior Has got good european styling as they say, looks even better with the alloys on, No compromise on aerodynamics.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) A great comfortable experiece particularly on long drives, best in class space and comfort, read window defogger would have been an advantage, no fog lamps as a standard build, though a space is provided if you want them installed.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox One of the best gear boxes I have come across, very smooth and effortless, average fuel economy, smooth engine performance but a little slugish which negotiating ever increasing humps on our Indian roads and hilly regions.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is great and so is handling though the power stearing is not as responsive at slow speeds as expected.
Final Words A very good car to own, owners delight, sad that Hyundai has phased it out recently but still a show stopper, not very high on maintainence, thanks to good service back up especially with Trident guys in Bangalore. A car you you can trust be it city or countryside, it makes its own mark. Lookswise much better even than the Figo's and Estilos of these days.

I have always been very impressed with the ways of Hyundai adressing customer needs. Getz is a great package of comfort and features. I have been using Santro and Getz is my new purchase. Having done 250 kms as of now in city I can tell you this car is as practical as is Santro or even more.. You have place for everything...Mobile/s, Water Bottles, Cans, Magazines, 2DIN Music System, Sun Glasses, CDs and Cassettes, Wallet and also for a 2 Ltr Pepsi Bottle...still you are left with spaces to be filled. Clutch Lock is a great safety features with kids being around (car starter cranks with clutch pressed)...kudos to hyundai for offering practical products.
Only let down is 1.1L Engine. It is not designed for this weight, the car feels heavily underpowered while overtaking you have to plan everything including switching of the Aircon getting into the lower gears. Hyundai has been able to bring down the price no doubt 'with this engine' but guys beware there are no driving thrills infact too many gear changes.

Exterior Bit of an Indica look But with an good turning radius looks are also exceptional. Especially the under engine wiring are very good insulated than that of SWIFT.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are very much average as it doesnot have bluetooth support, but yeah wat an class interior front panel it has. The plastic quality is good, A/c average cooling, Comfort guaranteed for an average 6 foot & above person both in driving & rest seating space. 5 person comfortably sits in it. Seat quality is excellent not experienced any sort of backaches on travelling long routes. Overall Good Impressive Interior & build quality.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Well wat to say for Hyundais 1500cc diesel CRDI engine I've...very responsive, excellent built up quality, low engine sound, comfortable to drive both on highways & city roads, best pickup-the car picks up the acceleration very quick enough...,Gearbox is sweet & very smooth compared to INDICA VISTA, SWIFT & ETIOS LIVA, Well I've driving my getz for last 3yrs & covered 51000kms & u'll be shocked to know despite of not so good mileage on petrol version. This CRDI diesel version gives me around 20km/litre, rmember despite of 1500cc engine I'm getting this average as can u believe an 1500cc engine on an hatchback & still gives an 19 of average. Just love it.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is good as suspension are heavy & good built, Gives smooth rides on damp roads, a very impressive ride quality. Handling is very smooth as compared to INDICA's Car responds well to slow down speed from even on 150 to 160. The best known fact is that car doesnt bulges or vibrates & doesnt create engine noise even on speed of 175 to 180. A fantastic to drive on GHAT ROADS as you can experience the pickup of the car on the ghat roads clearly stunning performance.
Final Words Still I couldnot why HYUNDAI discontinued this car despite they should have cut the price instead. But still an best fuel economy car with an excellent pickup in its class, maintanance wise ok not so higher in maintanance, a vey rugged 1500cc engine, very good performance & built up qualty on indian roads, most spacious compact hatchbacks, good ground clearance, interior quality excelent, wirings & engine quality after services very good, Just go for this car.
Areas of improvement I think Hyundai should look out for their service centers to improve their services.

Exterior I owned a black Getz prime GLX 1.3 2008 model, This car has a good exterior as i have driven esteem and now this hatchback ,very stylish exterio.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good car for a Indian family of 4(self driven), very comfortable interms of pick up and superb handling. it is so slient that some time you may try to start it again.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Except fuel economy which normaly click on 10 in city drive and 13 on highway, I have driven 60000km but I must say if fuel economy can click on 15 and above then this car can beat any car of its segment.
Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth handling and special in cornering.
Final Words One must drive this car without preassumptions excellent exterior and interior except the feeling of facing out of this model i must say good hatch back by hyundai.
Areas of improvement None(as it has been phased out).

So much is spoken about the GETZ crdi for being overpriced . Though a bit more expensive than its nearest rival, the Swift, you get a more powerful engine, and loads of space and an airy beige cabin.
It falls short in the braking and cornering division. It wasnt meant to be a race car. Drive sensibly and you have the best hatch in town.
Bumper to bumper traffic could become a litte stressed as the power steering is not as responsive as it sould be, and the clutch gets a little hard (as is the case with all diesels).
Take her to the highway and you will see why she has been branded "Crdi". Amazing torque of 24 kg-m will kick you in the back at around 1950 rpm and you will rocket to 100 kmph in no time. No diesel car/SUV this side of the Skoda Octavia can think of even coming close to her. I have done 165 kmph without any problem, but ran into traffic so couldnt go further.
Fuel efficiency is a decent 13 in tight traffic conditions, and 18 on the highway and that's good.
I've taken people ranging from the age of 17-70, both male and female and they said one thing - Fantastic Car!
I am happy with a car that keeps everyone happy!

Hi All,
Writing this review so that it is helpful to all looking out for a new car. I got GETZ 1.1 GLE this month. So far I had driven 750 kms clocking a mileage of 11.42 kms/l. Conditions of driving - to and fro from office (I travel from east delhi to noida - it takes minimum of 45 mins to travel 15kms - 80%time AC was on).
Initially I was confused about i10 / getz but decided to go for getz for its better looks, space and big car feeling and almost same price.
Pick up car is alright, i will not say very good but is good enough for driving in traffic of delhi but sometime engine gives you a sluggish feeling. Drove it with full load of 5 persons and AC on and felt less of power and pickup.
