Elite i20 diesel ia an amazing car ,it could have been a perfect hatchback but for some feature deletion in elite i20 Asta .
The most basic features like rear wipers and washer are only offered with topend asta o variant .
The car has good build quality , amazing interiors , one of the best avn system with great sound quality. The diesel engine has enough torque between 1750 to 3000 rpm to keep u happy , it's not a ver rev happy crdi but to an average Joe the engine performance will suffice . The motor is dead post 3000 rpm and there is no point in redlining it .
If driven in turbo zone the car rewards you with good mileage of 16-17 overall .
The service from Hyundai safdajang Gurgaon left a bad taste , they put wrong grade engine oil used in 2017 elite i20s in my 2018 make i20 . No knowledge whatsoever to the staff . The free service costs is on the higher side if done at Hass at around 7k . Post free service I am looking at around 8-10k at least . But very economical if done at a local mechanic . The balancing and alignment itself costs around 2000 rupees at Hyundai service station .
Overall the car is great but for some shortcomings , Hyundai could have given much more features in i20 Asta diesel considering the fact that I paid 9.5 lakhs for hatchback .
