Creta verses water

I was driving in NH966 at Mannarkkad, there was a water clogged area having a depth of less than 10 cm. An Alto car easily crossed and passed it. So I thought, I have an sx (0) 1.6 creta, I could easily cross it. I crossed it. But the very next day...... I was not able to start my creta. I spent a lot to correct it even it was in warranty period, and I was not able to drive it for at least for one month. Even now it’s having starting trouble sometimes. It was just 6months since I bought it.
