Exterior Mini-van/MUV like styling, looks great. Paint job is excellent.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior Quality is one of the best in the class. Loads of space & great visibility. Audio system is nice but does not provide controls to install Amp & Sub Front seats provide excellent support, rear seats are not meant for 3 occupants though. Ample head room & leg room both up front & rear.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This 1.2 litre motor is amazingly smooth. If you are careful, it can return 13 - 14 kmpl in city with AC ON! Gearbox works well too but needs frequent shifting in City traffic. Honda motor is well refined & if reved hard it responds quickly.
Ride Quality & Handling Power steering is precise & ride quality is very good. At low speeds you may feel few bumps & higher speeds its a smoother ride.
Final Words Honda Jazz may appeal to those who are looking for a Second or third car for their family & does not necessarily view Sedan as an upgrade over hatchback. Its offers premium comfort & features and in some areas scores better than CITY. Honda has gone ahead with a Pricing strategy that may not be seen positively by many buyers but it certainly provides unmatched quality, Space 7 Utility for that price. In my opinion, Honda could still come up with more cost effective Development / Enginnering practices to add some features at current Price such as - Auto Air Con, Bluetooth Connectivity, CVT & higher capacity Motor (1.5 Litre).
Areas of improvement 1.2 Litre motor could feel sluggish if not pushed hard. 1.5 Litre motor doing duty in CITY should be available as an Option.

After a recent visit to Europe, I fail to realize the reason behind the love/prestige that Indians associate with sedans. The europeans prefer hatchbacks and MUVs to sedans, simply because they (the hatchs and MUVs) are more practical. The Jazz is pretty much like a juxtaposition of a sedan and a MUV in the avatar of a hatchback. The spacious inetrior can even put the legspace of an entry level sedan to shame. The boot is big enough to accomodate the grocery or the weekend luggage with ease. The ride is better than those of most entry-level sedans, given the good suspension, quiet cabin and a multitude of features. The 1.2 L engine offers enough grunt for effortless travel in the city and has enough power for a highway cruise as well. The fuel efficiency is great for a sedan of this size. The smaller dimensions make it easier to manoeuvre as well. What use is a boot if the same space is available in a hatch. The exterior will remind you of the toyota innova or the honda city or any other great MUV. An MUV with hatch dimensions is indeed something remarkable. If you are looking for a city without a boot (possibly for more practicality) then look no beyond the jazz, it ofers more than what you can expect from a hatch. I feel it's a complete car for city and occasional highway drive(more 90% of us do the same)
Lots of heartburn has been on the price front ,but I must tell probably this is the only car on indian roads having price cheaper then it's USA counterpart(Honda Fit), it's priced there in 14000 to 18000 US $ bracket.

Exterior Excellent but a slightly light metal body- can feel it by lifting the bonet.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Awesome, you would love to sit in the car, ample space, very good interiors and excellent music system.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very quite engine, if driven smoothly can give upto 21kmpl, responsive steering and gearbox.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent responsive steering and engine, slightly underpowered in lower gears, but if you are a smooth driver wont feel it.
Final Words Value for money. almost every imaginable feature present in car.
Areas of improvement Honda needs to give dealership to people who love cars and respect people. Pathetic experience with dealer. Told me would give delivery in 1 month and then after 28 days told would take another 3 months and mine was the first delivery at the new showrrom opened and delivered a car to someone else. finally had to complain in Honda and received the car in 10 min. (was told would take another 2 months atleast but was arranged a car by the corporate manager after complaining within 2 days). Poor after sales response and pathetic people to deal.

Exterior No doubt this car is the best car in the india market if looks are considered, too sexy.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors r far better what we get from punto nd swift,regarding space udnt have a c segment sedan offering more space than jazz.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gers are precise, soft nd typical honda..a bit underpowered bt that can be ignored. Less turning radius makes it fun to drive in the city.
The problem with jazz is that indian traditional mind set up considers sedans better than hatchbacks. but if i call jazz mini innova its pretty acceptable..actually ppl dontsee it around toh they dnt have an idea abt its looks of mini crv even wat this car offers nd wat they r missing.
Indian mind is on a growing at a nice pace bt still behind the japanese, Jazz will fav of all. Just let the indian ppl realize. Cars are nt just abt value for money.
Areas of improvement Reduce its price to 6 lakhs.

I was looking for a third car in the family the other two being ALTO and new Indica vista. Shortlisted and did TD of following petrol cars except punto diesel - Swift, POLO, punto (D), jazz and i20.
Exterior Jazz - Looks really big even though it is smaller than punto, Polo or i 20. Design is futuristic and will stay for years.
Others - good. Again exterior looks are subjective.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Jazz - Its even big. It has space space and more space for 5 full grown adults and tons of baggage. Plenty of leg room both front and rear. Front row is really huge. Jazz gives gives you that BIIIGG feeling when sitting either front or rear...And glass all around makes u feel sittinig in open space. Dash resembles a cockpit.
Polo, Punto, Swift - Great front seats with plenty of leg space. DASH for polo and Swift are superb. Punto has a bland dash. POLO is really well built with good interiors. Build quality is robust.
Swift,Punto is cramped with low plastics.Does`nt give a rich feel.
Back row of all 3 are real cramped with Swift taking the price and punto better of the 3. I thought I wud suffocate to death sitting back row for Swift. POLO and Swift are for two adults and 2 kids below 10. Even the ergonomics of these cars are such that on paper these are bigger or equal to jazz they are really cramped for space in rear.
i20 - Super front seats with so many features and decent space in rear. Reasonable space at rear for 3.
Swift has the worst boot of all.
Special mention of inbuilt music system of JAZZ.. It is awesome.. It is as good as custom made music system. The rest have mediocre music systems and some day or very soon u will end end up replacing them with custom ones.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Swift - Really good. Its a drivers car anywhere. Power available at tap of pedal. Best fuel economy. It has best of both world engine performance and fuel economy. Very smooth gear box.
Polo - Again a drivers car on high ways. Very stable at high speeds. Poor fuel economy. Good gear box. Engine gets very noisy at higher speeds.
i20 - I defnitely did not like its engine performance either in traffic or highway. Below par perfomer when compared to others. I cannot really explain why but I was really disappointed as I am a big fan of i10.
Punto (D) - Again a drivers car on high ways. Very stable at high speed. Not suitable on heavy traffic(even though u dont have to change gears becuase of high torque, it feels really heavy in traffic) there is some hesitancy to move on..It just rolls. Very sluggish in 2nd gear.
Jazz - Not a drivers car. It has enough power though.A very relaxed engine and is in no hurry. Butter smooth gear box, decent fuel economy (14kl/l and I have clocked only 150Km so far. Shud get more as engine gets tuned). Can get sluggish at low speeds if not changed to lower gears. Engine is super silent. U can mistake engine to be off when idling..At any speed cabin noise is very very very low compared to other cars here.. And that alone gives a very good driving and riding experience.
Ride Quality & Handling Polo - Ride quality is very good and best of all cars compared here. Handling is also top notch.
Swift, i20, Punto - Good.
Jazz - It floats. The big glass panels, large interiors, virtually no engine noise gives u a serene feeling of gliding :).. No joke this..
Final Words If every one thought the way I did, Jazz wud have been the best seller by now :) but its the other way as Jazz is also the costliest hatchback in indianmarket.. If u want a very good car and EXCLUSIVITY then JAZZ it is !!!
Areas of improvement If u are feature savvy , then can ask for list of features like i20. i20 in reality is adding up all features to mask its poor performance.
Updated :: Did two long drive since
1. Chennai - Guruvayoor and back :: 1370 Km.. Avg mileage :: 16.8 km\l on the whole. Avg speed : 110km/hr : no of persons - 2adults + 1 kid ...Completed first service - Just washing (no oil change)
2. Chennai - Vellore Sreepuram and back :: 310km .. Avg speed : 90km/hr : no of persons - 5 adults + 2 kids (both 5yr old) Here is the big surprise....Onward journey was 18.1Km/l while return was 20.4km/l till we entered Chennai after which it dropped to 19.2.. All these are reading from console.
I`m still surprised. Total Km covered till date : 2200Km. By the way avg mileage in Chennai while travelling to office and back during peak office hours with full A/c on is 13.5 km/l

Exterior...the best Aerodynamic designing,actually i love this beautifull car.its well comfortable dimentions which are easy to drive in city n tight roads,,especially a front quarter glass is a bonus,great useable glass i see the ground from this..
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)I love its interior design and its quality and moreover its practicality,,when i buy it, we go to the GURDWARA SAHIB ,it was a pretty hot day my mineral water bottle was inside of car ,water was so hot ,i fill a glass of water and place in cup holder and after hardly 2 km water was so cold and i thank god to gift me this car really..(great value for money) sound quality is superb great crality and easy reach buttons and steering buttons are joy to use..space is let shame to most sedans..rear seat reclining is great
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox.. A super silent engine ,sometime i had to see RPM meter its is rinning or not ..super silent even not a little viberation,,Performanc is good .a little low rpm torqe issue is appear, overall its great drivebility,fuel economy is good i claim 14.7 km/l in city, highest 23.6 km/l on highway ( without AC at speed 60-70) and full seats loaded i get 20.2 km/l (40 km AC on in 90 km tour)..i think its not good .. its great guys..
Ride Quality & Handling..ride quality is superb with michelin tyres..great suspention,,super silent cabin,i love it..handling is superb and confident

A gem of a car. Just pay a few thousand Rs. more and you get the most stylish and safe hatchback. i20s and i10s are no way near this performer.
An excellent interior framework. You get a lot of space for the money you pay. Its a myth that this is an expensive car. Just comapre its features with the cheaper cars and calculate the proce you pay for those if you add extra.
Now they have some good loan deals too. 0% interset. Simple calculations : Loan Amount/No. of months = Per Month EMI. No gimmicks, except #3-4 k processing fee. So you save @50-60k on interest. Immediate Delivery - calculate your savings if you have a car one month earlier.. i20 takes at least one month for delivery.

Exterior JAZZ Select (Urban Titanium) looks sporty and elegant. People just cant stop staring at it. I feel its like mini version of Innova with perfect curve. Large glass makes it much more attractive.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent interior with things perfectly placed and easy to use. Rear seats are little uncomfirtable for 3 but its reclining feature gives absolute comfort. Fabric cover on doors can get dirty soon which may spoil the look of interiors.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Smooth engine as any of premium Honda car though Fuel economy could be better.
Ride Quality & Handling Very stable and smooth riding experience as one can expect from Honda.
Final Words Absolutely Value for Money car with all premium features one can expect in any Hatchback and I am happy to be proud owner of my first car which HONDA JAZZ.

Exterior Anyone will agree that Honda's build quality is very good. Honda's cars are built to last a decade minimum, in Indian conditions. The design is pretty unconventional but extremely practical. I personally call it the mini-innova for the space and the design. The Sapphire Blue colour is one of the best shades in the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This car has one of the best interiors in the segment. People might think of it as a hatchback but it's really much more than that. The all round space and the feeling of airiness that this car provides is just unbeatable. I have extensively driven almost all the other hatches too and no car matches this one on the space or comfort. Long drives of 1000+ kms are a breeze in this car. The air-conitioning is undisputedly the best in any sub 10 lakh car i've seen.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance is one area which leaves u wanting more. This car is mainly tuned for economy and does an extremy good job giving me 13.5 kmpl in Chennai city with a.c. but performance wise, it's not the best. U have to rev it hard for extracting what this engine is capable of. On the highways, it constantly gives me 18 kmpl at constant speeds between 100-120. The gearbox has very precise throws though the gearing ratios are pretty long to aid economy.
Ride Quality & Handling I have driven 24,000 kms as of now and i can say that ride quality is pliant and any Honda owner will agree that Hondas have the best steering.. in city, maneuvering this car is a breeze. at high speeds too, the steering displays good feedback. Handling is pretty good but the tires, again designed for economy aren't the best if u want the best of roadgrip or excellent handling. but, overall this car is a pretty good handler. I have touched speeds of 160+ many times and there are no vibrations that creep in. the car is very stable even at those speeds and doesn't step out of line.
Service I have to state here that Olympia Honda, Chennai have been providing excellent service and i have no qualms or complaints whatsoever
Areas of improvement Should provide usb-port, climate control, alloys and fog lamps as standard fitment for all models and indicators on the rear-view mirrors like in the international models.
Final Words This car is the most value for money car in it's segment as it's the most practical, for city conditions. It justifies it's high price by delivering good performance and economy coupled with breezy handling and comfort. After i got this car, three of my friends got convinced just from a short test drive and went ahead and got one each for themselves. i'd rather go in for the Jazz than a sedan as it's much more practical.

Honda should know that they are HONDA and not BMW or Merc & secondly they should also be aware that the car is been launched in INDIA and not any any other part of the world, where people dont have "brains". INDIA is a Techno-commerical nation, where quality comes at a reasonable price.
