Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
I have drivem more than 3000km in 1 month. Initially i was getting a mileage of 19-20kmpl for the first 1500kms after that the mileage goes down to 14-15kmpl. I did the first servise in 2350kms. After that the mileage got increased and now i am geting a consistant mileage of 17-18kmpl. Gear box shifting is very smooth. Same like other diesel engine cars this car is also having initial lag on lower rpms.
Ride Quality & Handling
This car is having some blind spots in the right and left lower cornors of the front glass. Apart from that good visibility on road and HAndling is also very good.
Final Words
Good car. Nothing much to think, You can buy this car(diesel).
Areas of improvement
Interior plastic quality can be improved.

Exterior The exterior has a bold SUV feel though i felt the head lamps are a little small for the over all appearance of the car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Boot space is severly lacking but we were warned about that & got a Thule roof box on day one, that really made the difference
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is outright amazing & worthy of all the awards it has received. 3 cylinders with a turbo charge provide superb power & torque as long as the tacho is over 1800 rpm which is easy on the highway. The gears are precise but this is my first 'non-japanese' car in 9 years & i felt the grears & clutch to be a little hard. Ford & Euro car lovers will love the feel. I drove it from Chennai to Bangalore through the old madras road which had something of a ghat section. The sales people & various web sites suggested a mileage of 15 which was on my mind but i never managed more than 9.5 on the highway & about 8 in the city which made my average cost Rs. 7.7 per KM. I felt that was high for the amount i paid for the engine technology. This version costs more than the diesel variant of the Ecosport.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality excellent. A little hard for the elderly people but grips the curves & i was able to approach & leave curves at much higher speeds than my honda city. The steering holds firm & has amazing feed back
Final Words Interiors, exteriors all excellent & boot space was nothing less than what was promised. Great value for money if i got a slightly better mileage. 12 is what i get from my honday city & if that was matched, i would have felt better about the car
Areas of improvement The doors are hard to shut & usual rattling that i've always associalted with 'non-japanese' cars but that requires the whole system to change.

Exterior With this price range its a Complete futuristic Car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is a problem rest is ok given with the price.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox AT is not availble neither for SALE nor for TEST DRIVE, and Ford people are least interested in hearing customers problems. I bookied this car on 24JULY13, at that time they said 03 months, and now its March14.

Final Words Its a great deal, but they could have done better with efficient customer service and delivery system, CAR is easily available at a premium of Rs 50k, Staff people are more of pimps now. NO matter what still gonna buy it. no better option available as of now. Can anybody tell me how much is the service cost coz Ford efficient staff dont know anything about it.
Areas of improvement Well, Dealers need to hire efficient staff once you enter a Ford Showroom it feels like you surrounded by FUGLY bouncers.

I have booked Ecosport in july 13 and got shocked today when i recieved letter from delear and found the price s hiked by 75K in 1.5 Tit(O).
This type of pricing strategy will not work in India Automobile market for long time. Ford can't take customer on ride by increasing two times price of Ecosport in 6month of launch. If there all previous model dosen't hit in Indian road, by the god grace one model is being liked by Indian customer and company is taking full unusual advantage from the customer.
We should take a stand and boycott to use Ford Ecosports and cancelled all the booking and go for other SUVs option available in India.
New More models is about to launch in indian road by 2014 in same segment by other company like, Honda, Maruti, VW, XA Alpha etc.
Request others to spread this information to more n more people that How this Ford/Fraud company making fool to Indian people.

Exterior : Good. Looks like SUV but not in reality. Well built, Sturdy looks. It seats you at a good height which is good feeling.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Horrible. Rear seat does not accomodate even two adults.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox : Jerks at the speed of 100 KMPH. You can see other small vehicles over taking you easily. Do not race with other vehicles as Ecosport may topple in curves at high speed. Breaking is not good. You will not have any control over this vehicle if you are over 110 KMPH. When it comes to fuel economy, this vehicle is a white elephant. (Do not know about diesel variant as mine is petrol vehicle). I cut down my travel considerable because of this. Nothing to say about gear box - Nothing speacial about it.
Ride Quality & Handling : No doubt - Your ride will be smooth if you are on a nice road. Off road driving is a nightmare. Suspension is the worst I have seen. You feel like ploughing in a wheat feild on a tractor when you are negotiating even a small hump. I am feeling short of bad words to curse ford for this below average suspension system. Steering is the only thing I liked on this vehicle. Very easy to drive and the steering is so light and riding is stress free.
Final Words : I made a big mistake in life buying this vehicle. My previous vehicle - a maruti Zen estilo was far far better than this. I am really missing that car. I bought a worst vehicle with high cost. Do not buy Ford Ecosport especially if you are expecting a smooth and fast ride from this. This is show-off vehicle with nice looks and worst performance. Buying experience was even disgusting than its performance. The sales representatives had the attitude as if they are selling a Mercedes product. Believe me, they quoted only 4 Lacs when I wanted to sell the vehicle back to them after 4 months of purchase.
Areas of improvement : No comments. I do not think Ford will care for any improvement for this car.

Exterior is very stylish and looks are totaly fresh and macho type.
Interior are decent, much superior as compared to Duster, Front seating is very comfertable, back seats lacks little leg room, but still quite OK for two persons seating, Boot space is reasonable.
Engine Performance is good not much noise, but IInd gear lacks in power, Fuel Economy is 15/16 on highway, Gearbox is smooth, drive on highway is excellent, goes very smoothly to 130 speed, clutch is also smooth compared to Duster.
Ride Quality & Handling is excellent, except constant nosie from the front doors and the brakes are not good enough if the speed is 100 or above.
It is overall a very good option specially when the choice is for small SUV.
Roof handels inside the doors, front and rear is a habit now, which is not there also both front seats should have hand rest, Breaks should have been more efficient, low power in IInd gear, noise from front gates are the areas of improvement.

Exterior:- No doubt about the look. It is a head turner. It is not an other vehicle. Exterior personifies power and speed. Doors are heavy unlike Japnies/Indian venicles. Front grill and ORVMs are fragile.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):- Stiff suspension will definitely give a back pain while negotiating the rough path. Space is reasonable. In fact rear seat is suitable for two adults and one child. Sink is fun to use. Takes time to understand the system.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:- I have driven just 900 kms. Most of the time in the city. The Trip meter showing 13.5 avg. and is stable. I am having lot of expectations with the Ecoboost engine as the user manual says that the economy will increase after 3500kms. The support of turbo charger is marvelous. Post 1800 rpm you will feel the beast under the hood. As the RPM reaches 1800 the engine becomes more silent and vehicle moves effortlessly. I took the vehicle for a shot trip in hills. The vehicle negotiated the highest effortlessly. Very low body role. Gear box is smooth. Second gear is tall. You enjoy the turbo's wrath in between 3rd and 4th gear. I have not yet checked the mileage from tank fill to tank fill but I am confident that the claim by the company is true and will live to the expectation.
Ride Quality & Handling- Handling is good. In the city it is easy to drive in tight corners. Backing up and parking is easy. Backing up sensors are good and helpful.
Final Words:- Excellent vehicle. Nicely priced. Ecoboost engine yet to be tested in Indian conditions. After 900 km run I feel that I have chosen a good vehicle. Go for it.
Areas of improvement:- Suspension, Hand break interfere with passenger's safety belt hook. Space at the back seat.

Exterior Exterior design of the ecosport is quite well engineered by the ford engineers.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Equipments=Great Space=ok Comfort=Cool, this is not my views but these views are also excepted by the autocar revews of this cars.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ecoboost just rocks in performance fuel economy is pretty good for an SSUV of this segment.gearbox is responsive.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is poor, ride quality ok.

But now, there’s a new contender in the form of Ford’s EcoSport. It’s even smaller than the Renault (it’s under four metres long), but Ford clearly thinks it has what it takes to take on the reigning king. Is Ford’s latest offering up to the task then?At Rs 5.8 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it is the cheapest, most basic EcoSport you can buy. But actually you can’t. Ford dealers have put a hold on petrol EcoSport bookings and the queue in some cases stretches to six months. What’s all the fuss about? Exterior: Good looking sturdy feeling but fearing rattle noise after running couple of thousands Km.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Good looking, spacious, driver leg room seams to be bit congested.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: For 1.5 engine preformance seams to be Ok but not as an SUV. again for 1.5 engine fuel economy 10.1KMPL is v.poor. Gear box not good enfough to say anything not satisfactory at all.
Ride Quality & Handling: Right 45 angle is a blind spot, caution for the drivers to b very careful especially in T junction.
Difficult to drive in street lanes due to no hearing of horn sound of other vechicle which may be due to Vehilce heavy noise.
Areas of improvement Overall material quality of the vehicle to be improved exterrior & interrior.
Engine appearance not good (When you open the bonet the first appearance should be solid like VW, the Al shield on the engine looks like an old junk fitted on it)
Grils are poor quality, Guide (fog) lamps too, Vehicle out look seams compact & inside looks large.
Final Words Hardearned money spent on this to enjoy driving & comfort. Than thums up fingers are cross not sure with the on going experince.
