Buying experience: After going through a lot of cars in my budget of around 9 lakhs (On-Road) I finally chose the Ford Aspire considering many parameters such as Space, Comfort, Boot Space, Power and Looks ofcourse. The buying experience was good starting from the booking of the car to the delivery. The staff at the Pearl Ford was very polite and helpful. They gave a full demo of each and every function of the car.
Riding experience: When you are standing beside the car you will always gonna smile. But once you enter the car it really disappoints you a bit. But you will again smile when you start the engine??. Coming to the ride quality, the engine is a bit too noisy for the car. The vibration levels are at very high inside the cabin. At low speeds their are a lot of vibrations on the steering wheel, but when you pickup speed the vibrations reduce a bit. The steering wheel is very balanced. It does not feel heavy at low speed and feels a confident one at higher speeds. Overall the ride quality is good on the highways, but too much vibrations and noise for city driving.
Details about looks, performance etc: No doubt, the car has the best looks in its segment especially the Aston Martin inspired front grill. The lines running through the shoulder give it a bold look whereas the rear is a bit outdated. The car overall feels balanced. The area where the Ford Aspire is defeates in the race is its interiors. The interior build quality is way too poor for a Ford. The AC of the car is one of the best I have ever seen on a car. At steaming hot 40°C turn the AC knob to level 2 and put the MaxAC On, it will take merely 5 min. to chill up the car. The performance of the car is no doubt segment leading (Diesel Variant). The 1.5TDCi motor churns out a huge amount of torque of 215Nm for this sized car. The car suffers a bit of turbo lag but picks up pretty soon in the 2nd gear. It lacks a lot on the equipment list such as projector headlamps, LED DRL'S, MID, Rear AC Vents, Keyless Entry, Height adjustable seat, Telescopic Steering etc. On the other hand it tops the safety equipment list with 6-airbags, ABS, ESP and many more.
Servicing and maintenance: The service experience is pleasant at the dealership. The Ford owners app gives an accurate estimation of the next service amount and also gives timely reminders and the work to be done at the next service. Overall maintaining the Ford Aspire is not a thing to worry only that you get your car serviced on time.
