I bought the car in Nov'2009. In August'2010 I have completed 15000 kms.
When I gave the car for 2nd service ( 15000 kms ) , the service people told that there is a problem with the brake booster . Braking was hard and i felt it lot of times. But I thought it might be because of the ABS. The service people have told me that the booster is defective as the packing got loose and air is entering. They promptly told me that they cannot deliver the vehicle unless it is fixed. They ordered the part and the issue is resolved . Sad part is that I had to wait for almost 13 days.
The service people were responsive and pro actively identified the issue and resolved. I guess the service is getting better with the tie up TATA. I enjoyed owning the Grande Punto and I love driving it. It gives a different feel when you drive the top end Punto . It is worth the money.
SWIFT/RITZ might be good in lot of aspects ( Price , Fuel efficiency etc ) , but the drive is not comparable to Grande Punto. Driving Grande Punto gives a different kind of pleasure. You can feel the weight of the car and feel secure.
Way to go FIAT !!
Advice to FIAT Make the parts avaialbe quickly.
Ride quality and handling , Bold driveLeg room at the rear , Fuel economy ( only 13 kms in city )
