Exterior The Exteriors of the car is pretty good, strong and I have no complaints about it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I think the car is offered with decent features; however, the space in the car is not up to the mark. The comfort level of the car is of Top quality with respect to any 1000cc car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Perfect Engine, The car is over 41000 Kms old, the sound of the engine is as good as day one. When you sit in it (at idling speed) you cannot make out whether the car is on or off. I have no complaints about Fuel Economy as it gives me 16+ KMPL (AC on and off) in city traffic conditions and on the highway it gives more than 19 KMPL (AC on and off). The car was driven for over 1400 Kms during the first week of October 2011 and there is no sign of giving up on the part of the engine or mileage. Regarding the gear box, I'm not a mechanical engineer to comment on it. But, as a layman, I can tell that the car has precise gear shifts and no vibration from the Gear Nob even at speeds above 110 KMPH. However, I felt vibrations from the steering wheel when driven above 120 KMPH.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality of the car is perfect, on the highway there were many places that had uneven patchwork, potholes, ditches, huge speed breakers, suspension breaking roads for a stretch of more than 70 kms at a time. The car handled all of that without causing difficulty to the passengers who were onboard. The handling of the car is par beyond excellence for a 1000cc car. In city, when I have to reach office and I'm in a situation where I have to race against time, I usually drive rough and change lanes in parallel manner and turn at high speeds. Honestly, I tell you this car never let me down in handling at slow or speeds at 60-70 Kms in city driving. The car behaves the way I want it to behave.
Final Words I usually do not market a product unless someone pays me for it. Nevertheless, after coming back from a Highway trip, that included the NH along the Eastern Coastal region and the terrible bypass and village roads of India. I must say that this car is a 'GEM' and the Best among the small hatchbacks. The car has given me more than 19 KMPL for a trip of over 1400 KMS within 4 days. As mentioned earlier, the odometer has clocked over 41000 KMS, it shows no sign of fatigue and the car is still Eveready for more long trips.
I recommend this car for anyone who wishes to travel with 3 (Healthy) people, 3 cabin approved suitcases and 3-4 backpacks for very long trips, small families and people who wish to enjoy a quick, precise ride in city driving conditions. I also feel that GM India has got it right and they are making cars with international quality for the Indian market. GM cars are the cars to buy. I don’t mind buying another GM car in the future.
Areas of improvement The important area for Improvement is 'space', I feel GM should take note of it and do something about it. I'm a healthy person; hence, space has to improve. Also, I suggest the petrol engine should be replaced with a diesel engine of Chevrolet Beat.
