Final Words Purchase this car only if you dont regret at the time of selling it. As this car is next to junk if you wish to sell it even after driving it for say 10000 KMs. Its really hard to get a buyer for it unless u are very very lucky. Even for exchange value its just scrap. Personally speaking after sales service is too very very poor. Take the case of Metro Chevrolet, New Delhi for last 2 years I am complaining for the service provided by them at Service center but always you will listen "Next time you will not find this" but they are not at all bothered about customer even I have written to GM for a surprise inspection but no action has been taken til date. Anyway watever I have suffered I have now I will never go for GM cars and never suggest anyone to go for GM cars even they offer it for free.
Areas of improvement To have honest after sales service. Car selling is not the final goal. Customer satisfaction is the thing which will keep company afloat.

Exterior I bought a spark Lt velvet red after a thorough look at a few other hatchbacks. The outside looks are good and you will love to drive a car that has a smile to greet you with.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The beige interiors look cool and the shopping hooks in the front seats is an innovative idea.The interior is huge compared to most other hatchbacks.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is a thriller with a great pickup.the fuel economy might not be excellent but it is quite good.
Ride Quality & Handling The noise reduction is good.The power steering helps you to make a turning even in narrow roads.
Final Words I recommend the spark to the people who are planning to buy hatchbacks.It is certainly better than the alto except the mileage part of it.But the other problem is that the dealer takes a long time to give the papers once they sell their product.I had the above problem and that is why I mention it.

Exterior Great looks & Easy driving through power steering.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors poorly designed, space not at all managed well & comfort is a compromise.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel economy extremely bad. Infact over hyped. Every time to switch from 2nd to 3rd Gear it does gets jammed.
Ride Quality & Handling Not so good. Test drive was impressive as I switched over from brands like Ford & Maruti. Chevy Spark needs a hell lot of improvement if they have to get a good market share. Only marketing can't help.
Final Words Not a smart buy.
Areas of improvement Other than the exteriors. Everything else need improvement big time. Have spent quite some money & infact did not have options in buying LPG. Chev spark has a poor ground clearance which means it bumps on to every speed breaker. Fuel economy within city limits poor as compared with Zen - CNG or Alto K series.

Thanks to its intelligent packaging and 2,345-mm wheelbase, the five-seater offers a comparatively large amount of space and a feeling of roominess. The Spark comes with a generous assortment of standard convenience features and smart storage spaces. Like the original Spark, the Special edition comes with the economical yet powerful S-Tec engine, which was developed exclusively for the Spark. The four-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine delivers peak power of 63 ps @ 5,400 rpm and peak torque of 90.3 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. Power and torque are maximised at lower speeds, making the Spark ideal for commuting in congested city traffic as well as on open highways. The peak power per engine displacement volume is the highest in the Spark’s segment. A reduced curb weight and more aerodynamic styling further improve the Spark’s low drag co-efficient of 0.342, giving it the best fuel efficiency of any vehicle in the market.
Also carried over from the original Spark to the Special edition is the focus on safety. Fifty-one percent of the total weight of the Spark’s body cell consists of high-strength steel, providing great rigidity and stability while lowering the weight by 10 kg. Precisely defined load paths with an energy-absorbing hexagonal profile protect passengers in the event of a head-on or rear-end collision.
Optimised links between the B-pillar and sills provide side impact protection. For enhanced protection, the B-pillar is made of three steel plates of different thicknesses. The plates are welded together so that in the event of a side impact, the B-pillar moves like a pendulum rather than being folded and protruding into the passenger compartment.
It may be recalled that the Chevrolet Spark has consecutively won the prestigious J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS) Award for two years in a row, in 2007 and 2008 for its class-leading quality attributes and has also been rated best-in-class in terms of fuel economy by journalists across the country. I bought Spark in 2007 when Chevrolet offered 50,000 discount on the car.I got the higher end model with music system and seat covers just in Rs 3.83 lakh.I just love the car because of its beauty and performance.The gear system is so smooth.The interiors are managed properly.The colors available are very beautiful and soothing to the eyes.
I bought the car when I was in Jamshedpur.Whenever I used to go to office a lot of people on the road use to look at the car.Infact,a lot of people use to come and ask about the details of the car (about the peroformance).This all simply tells how attractive the car is....

I bought this car on 2nd aug 2010 in coimbatore at annamalais agencies .i have completed arround 300 kms now and i am very much satisfied with the overall performance of spark.i have attained max speed upto 95 kph for few minutes in that speed the stability of the car is amazing braking is also very effective. excellent car from GM INDIA. Now the scheme is also very nice. For 3yrs or 45000 kms all service and spares are free.This is main reason i bought this car.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent S-TEC engine,very silent too.pickup in 3rd gear is simply superb for safe overtaking. Gear transmission is very nice but rev gear shifting is little bit difficult for new users.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable ride quality in city and handling is also very easy.
Areas of improvement Colour options are very less compared to any other cars in the market and i feel little bit Difficult to shifting revrse gear.

well, i have driven my spark on highway from delhi to haldwani with a speed of 80 to 100 kmph, i never felt any vibration i got 18 kmpl mileage, no problem with gearbox too, smooth gear shifting no tension car on highway.

Another area where i want to say is excellent, never feel bored when i handle this car.
Final Words
Stop searches for car, just go and grab the spark. if u miss the chance you will definately miss a world class car, which rarely found in indian markert, there is no match in this segment.
