Exterior I love the exterior of the Yeti. Yes it's quircky and a bit boxy, but that's what I like about it. It doesn't look like it's been designed solely by a computer! As I got a bright red one it is now known as 'Postman Pat's Van' by friends and family - which just makes me chuckle!

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No complaints. I've had Skodas before and it's very similar. Unsurprisingly it's also pretty similar to my husband's Audi! Mine is a company car and has to do a lot of miles, for which it's very comfortable. But it's equally good off road around the yard and fields where I keep my horse.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is one of the key reasons I chose this car. I wanted something capable of towing a horse but also that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg in Company Car Tax or running costs. The yeti fits the bill perfectly. It's towing capability is a lot more than many of the others in the crossover class. For some people the difference between towing 1600kg or 2000kg may be an irrelevance, but it's crucial if you're pulling a horse.

Economy wise I'm pleasantly surprised, as I'm not paying much more for my personal fuel account than I did with my previously (very) economical BMW 1 series. The relatively low list price (for a 4x4) makes it a good choice for comapny cars.

Ride Quality & Handling Good both on the motorway and around country lanes or even off road. I've used it a few times so far for towing (total weight ~ 1400kg) and been very impressed with the ride and stability.

Final Words Like the Octavias I've had before, the Yeti is a great car. If you still can't get over the Skoda name badge then it's your loss! If you want a crossover I don't think there's a better choice for performance and value for money.

    Areas of improvement NA.
