I had booked the new superb diesel in March after their assurance that they would deliver it in April 2016. Later in April, they said that it would take 5 more months to deliver the car. I am stuck as I badly need the car but Skoda is denying me and says that they won't be able to provide the car before August sighting all non sense reasons that their car is such a hit that they can't cope up with it and also says that due to Delhi's 2000cc norms, they are not launching it now. They think that customers are stupid and will take any lies they say. Whenever my old SUperb goes to their Workshop in Kolkata, it doesn't come out before 2 to 3 weeks and they keep on adding expense after expense. I have all records to prove that and mark my words, they cannot determine anything in one estimate. They will make at leat 2 to 3 estimates after working on your car based on the first estimate, only in order to keep inflating their bills.
I should also add that other than the Old Superb, I also have 2 new Octavias. With my experience with their after sales, owning a SKoda product is a frustration and embarrassment and this will be my last Skoda car that I will ever buy. Their Sales Department and Service Department don't know what is wrong, they are not updated about anything. Just that they know how to present their Bank Details so that we can pour in money after money for them.

(1) Buying Experience: I was researching on a value-for-money vehicle in the range of 30-35 lakhs since Aug 2016. And after final considerations, settled on the Superb. It looked gorgeous, was different from Audi A3/A4 in construct and had a razor sharp road presence. We bought the Superb L & K Petrol, in Aug 2017.
(2) Riding Experience: I have since driven 3000 kms (approx.) and the ride quality has been very good. You can trust me on this particular aspect because I am 6 feet 5 inches tall, well built and don't really fit into vehicles. I am pretty critical of a vehicle when it comes to comfort. Merc C Class is comfortable for me but once I stretch, the riders in the rear seat squeeze to a chagrin. Superb didn't disappoint me once. It's so smooth & subtle. The 180 bhp petrol engine is a shark on Indian roads. Average vehicle mileage is 12 kmpl (for these 3000 odd kms). The suspensions can eat potholes. And the ground clearance is more than decent for a saloon this size. The car clears the speed breakers without a hitch, even the bad ones.
(3) Pros: The variety of gizmos this car offers is quite outstanding. It's like flying business class - everything is at your fingertips - calls, music, navigation, ac/heat vents, seat adjustments, colors, everything. Absolutely beautiful interiors. And the biggest plus of this vehicle is its boot space - 625 litres. You can literally kill me and stuff me in it, i.e. if you can kill me ;-).
(4) Cons: So far the only thing that has bothered me is the quality of the rear ac vent- the one that is closer to the feet of the rear passengers. The lower half of this vent is made up of pesky plastic. I wonder why the hell did they do that. A really fuckall thing to do in the center of such a car. Ridiculous actually. N.B. - I know people around the country have faced myriad service problems with Skoda dealerships. But Skoda (Imperial Skoda, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand) was very convincing that I wouldn't face one, when servicing became due in a year. The charges are fixed @12 ~ 17 grands from 1st through the 5th years. I will certainly update about it, irrespective of things going north or south. Thanks for the time folks.

Best car in its segment. It is very comfortable and the suspension is super soft and super comfy. Pick up is nice. Reliability could’ve been slightly better. It doesn’t comes with tons of useless features and that is a good point. Also u can auto park it. It can absorb the potholes and uneven roads very nicely. Ride quality is nice.
